Is It True Canadians Are Afraid To Speak Out Against Canadian Healthcare In Fear

Do you think marijuana should be legal in Canada?

If the questioner has not seen the short film ‘Reefer Madness’ I highly recommend they do, it is hysterical. Mind you I mean hysterically funny but it is also hysteric in it’s fear mongering propaganda which the questioner may still buy into. It was done in the 30s or 40s I believe. What is funny today about the fear mongering around legalizing pot is how off base it is along with unscientific. Does alcohol lead to harder drugs? It may be a first step for individuals but there is nothing to say it’s a cause. Legality also is not likely to be a cause. There is lots of fear out there about what to do about people driving stoned. Well what have we done about all the people driving stoned for the last few decades? Fact is controlling pot will allow for more tools to control driving stoned.WHO WILL SPEAK FOR THE CHILDREN!? Again controlling it will offer more opportunity to keep it out of the hands of minors. What about harder drugs like say the crack smoking the questioner is trying to connect here? Well if the supplier of weed (gov’t regulated) is no longer also in the business of supplying crack chances of one leading to the other are greatly diminished NOT increased.Fear is so seldom thought through well. I know, I’m afraid of heights and when it comes to it fear paralyzes much of my rational thought. It’s just the way it is I guess.

Is it true that Canada is better than America?

This really isn’t even a valid question.Health care:USA - the singularly most expensive and non-trustable health care in the world. 70% of all bankruptcies in USA are because of health care bills.Canada - Free-to-the user. NO CHARGES.Life expectancy:Canada - 81 years, among the longest living peoples in the worldUSA - 78 years the lowest in the OECD, by a WIDE margin.Maternity leave:USA - Six weeks, no pay and if you don’t come back in six weeks, your job is gone.Canada - One full year with “almost” full pay. Your job is guaraneed to be there for up to two years.Schooling:USA - No. 34 in high school educational standardsCanada - consistently among the highest four in the world.Higher education:USA - the singularly most expensive in the world. A four year degree can cost up to USD400,000Canada - Free (Quebec) or very reasonably priced. All applicants that qualify can study - having wealthy parents is not necessary.Personal safety:USA puts more prisoners (on a per capita basis) in jail than the any other country, by a factor of seven. 50% of all released prisoners are in jail again within 18 monthsCanada - has among the lowest prisoner population and lowest repeat crime rates in the worldSociety:USA - I look after me, and you look after yourself. A general “population selfishness” which most persons, from any other country, cannot understandCanada - Who cares, we pay our taxes and live our lives peacefullyVacation time:USA - NONE, absolutley no guaranteed vacation time, and many don’t get any.Canada: Varies between provinces. Most employees start with two fully paid weeks and it goes up from there.Standard of living:USA - VERY UNEVEN, with the great majority living poorly by European or Canadian standards. 49% of Americans cannot pay an unexpected $400 bill without borrowing money this week. (Source: The Economist, this week’s issue.)Canada - Uniformly high with far lesser difference between high and average paying jobs. Not that it matters to you, I hope, but minimum wage is up to double what it is in some US states.I can go on…Choose carefully

How come average Canadians travel abroad more than most middle income Americans?

Despite that the discretionary income of most Americans is higher due to lower taxes, cheaper gasoline prices, and lower retail prices,

I find that Canadians are the ones who are more likely to do a European bus tour in Italy and Spain on a holiday break. And that American families more likely to say "we are in a debt crunch and can't afford to travel, we have bills to pay."

Is it more likely Canadians have more of a will to make travel a budget priority? Is it that Canadians are more economical savers and plan ahead better to achieve goals? Or is it that Canadians actually do have lower living expenses? Or some combination of all three?

Is Donald Trump a fearmonger?

You mean like build a wall along the southerm border because Mexicans are evil?
Muslims are evil incarnate and US citizens should be registered with the Government because of their religion.. in a land where personal freedoms are paramount... because Muslims are terrorists?

Odd Canada can do what Trump and many in the USA are afraid of... have compassion and love in our hearts for everyone.

Canada had a bad wildfire a few months back with many Canadians losing their homes... the Muslims helped the victims.
"Walid Ajram is collecting hampers of necessary supplies, while Rita Khallas is collecting $5 donations — for evacuees fleeing Fort McMurray's wildfire.
"The newcomers, because they feel so grateful for the generosity of Canadians, Calgarians ... they want to help," Nammoura added. "They want to say thank you. They want to do something. It's just amazing."

Is fearing this, fearmongering? Answer yourself :)
"These refugee children remind us how to see a Canadian winter with the innocence of a child. They have been extremely grateful for everything our country has to offer, including the warmth and generosity of a true Canadian welcome

Why are USA and Canadian citizens xenophobes?

We're not, we are just picky about who we WANT in our countries. NO TERRORISTS ALLOWED!!!!!
