Is It True That If Your Not Active A Lot You Lose Your Abs.

How long does a 6 pack abs last?

You should see them in a month or so, providing you don't have fat over your abs. You may have rock-hard abs now, but if you have too much body fat, you're not going to be able to see them until that fat is gone. Do some cardio with your weights and you should see results soon. I'm not sure what kind of exercises you're doing, but for abs, my hubby and I both have the 6-pack thing going and all we do are sit-ups on an incline, and sit-ups with the medicine ball (he throws it to me and then we switch) and then pulleys. Those work the best, I think.

Im 173 pounds 5"9 how much should i lose?

The key is diet diet and exercise.

You need to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Eat some protein with each meal! Cut out all refined sugar!!! Also add more fiber. The fiber and protein will fill you up, helping you to cut down on your unhealthy eating. Also by eating more than 3 meals spread out through the day you will kick your metabolism in high gear. Here is a general meal for a day:

Breakfast: 2 poached eggs
whole wheat toast
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Cottage Cheese with veggie

Lunch: Turkey, lettuce, tomato, whole wheat bread sandwich
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Protein Shake

Dinner: Turkey Burger ( no bun )
Side of brown rice
Side of Broc.

Then exercise regularly 4-5 days a week. Do both cardio and lifting. But on days that you do both. Do lifting before your cardio and you will maximize your fat burn. Cardio can be a sport: basketball, soccer, football, anything with losts of movement. Golf is a no no.

So Example :

Monday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Tuesday - 1 hour lifting
Wednesday - Rest
Thrusday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Friday - 1 hour lifting
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio

I would answer your question by using body fat percentage. You will get some abs at 20%, but they will be only slightly visible. You will get some pretty good four pack at 15%, and you will get a full blown six pack at 10–13% All that talk about going below 10% body fat for amateur athletes is crazy, people overestimate their leanness. Oh, and you cannot spot reduce. Abs exercises help by making them more pronounced, but 80% of success is body fat reduction through diet (with some cardio to help you). Cut your calories(daily deficit 250–500kcal), increase protein consumption. DO NOT crash diet, this is the easiest way to burn through your muscle.

Does eatin 1500 calories of food help u get abs?

When it comes to getting nice abs (or any other nice body part), it's not so much about food as it is about working out. Honestly, you have to do a lot of ab workouts to get nice abs. It's not gonna come from eating certain foodds. Many people believe in eating lots of protein to build muscle...believe it or not but your body can only use up so much protein and the rest will go to waste through a process called Deamination. It's kinda a complicated process to explain (that's another story) but you basically pee it out. So with that said, your body will only use the extra protein if you need it, which is when you workout more. The more active you are, the more protein your body needs to replenish muscle tissue. I say replenish because when your exercise, you're actually tearing existing muscle tissue and new tissue must replace it, which is why men can "bulk up."

If you're just an average person, 0.8 grams of protein for each kilogram (there's 2.2 pouns in 1 kg) you weigh is sufficient enough for each day. If you're an athlete, around 1.2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is a good amount to aim for. Try eating egg whites, lean meats (such as chicken breasts), or soy protein. Where did you get 1500 calories from? I don't know what kind of body and metabolism you have but 1500 calories doesn't work for everyone. Everyone has a different metabolism. For many people, 1500 calories will make them lose weight (unless you have a really slow metabolism). If you were to only eat 1500 calories a day but you never exercised, you could lose weight but at the same time, it may not be the body you were expecting. Like I said, the toning or 6 pack will come from exercise for the most part.

I'm not fat, but my stomach sticks outs like I'm pregnant but I'm not.?

Here is what you need to understand if you want to lose belly fat and get ripped fast:

1. Many so-called "health foods" are actually cleverly disguised junk foods that can actually stimulate you to gain more belly fat... yet the diet food marketing industry continues to lie to you so they can maximize their profits.

2. Ab exercises such as crunches, sit-ups, and ab machines are actually the LEAST effective method of getting flat six pack abs.

3. Boring repetitive cardio exercise routines are NOT the best way to lose body fat and uncover those six pack abs.

4. You DON'T need to waste your money on expensive "extreme fat burner" pills or other bogus supplements.

5. Ab belts, ab-rockers, ab-loungers, and other infomercial ab-gimmicks... they're all a complete waste of your time and money. Despite the misleading infomercials, the perfectly chiseled fitness models in the commercials did NOT get their perfect body by using that "ab contraption"... they got their perfect body through REAL workouts and REAL nutrition strategies.

Watch this video at http://www.flatbellyforlife.com to learn how you can lose belly fat and get six pack abs in a short period of time. It will blow your mind. I was able to lose the belly fat and get ripped in only 6 weeks. Good luck!

I'm losing weight but I look the same?

How old are you?
If you’re only 5’3 tall, you could still be a growing teen and dieting would surely stunt your growth.
If you lost 17kg (37.5lbs) in 2 and a half months…like 10 weeks, which is when you reach your burn out point, that’s 3.75lbs/week so you sent your metabolism down the drain (the best rate is half a pound/week NOT half a pound/day and crashing down).

You went from overweight (76kg/167.5lbs) to normal weight (59kg/130lbs) much too fast.
Then you’re short and cannot grow taller because you’re starving yourself (you can only lose 37.5lbs in 10 weeks if you’re starving yourself).
Even at 5’3 and 59kg/130lbs, you could not see your abs as you don’t have a low BFP (Body Fat Percentage) if you still have a 23BMI.
You’d need to weigh less than 50kg, like 48kg/105lbs like you’re 14yo, to start seeing abs, providing that you eat A LOT to be very active to build up muscle mass (which you cannot do if you’re starving yourself). But then, you cannot build up muscle mass at 14 as you’re like a woman, without enough adult male hormones to build up muscle mass and get a six pack.

You need professional help about your diet (stop starving yourself) so you can keep growing as when your growth plates close, you cannot grow anymore.

Edit:
You cannot lose 22% of your total body weight and think that "there is not much noticeable difference" unless you have BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder), which usually goes with ED (Eating Disorder, like starving yourself) and exercise addiction ("exercising diligently?").

How Can a 15 Year Old Get Abs?

i will tell u how i developed my six pack, then eventually ripped it. I started by doing 30 sit-ups every nite be4 i went 2 bed for a month or so. Then i increased my workout by doing 50 sit-ups every nite(straight). Then 100 sit-ups. I did that for a while then i decided to do weighted sit-ups. by weighted, i mean that i added extra pounds for more resistance=a more intense workout. I my weighted sit-ups, i started by placing a 10 pound weight on my chest while doing situps. To make a long story short, i then added a20 pound vest, then a 45 pound weight, then finally another 45 pound weight(50 sit-ups straight).= 120 pound weighted sit-ups.this may take some months or maybe even a year for some.(I now use createne). Also, dont just do situps... Do side crunches, and leg-ups/leg lifts to get a nice super hero looking torso. Im 14 , about 5'9 or so, 135 pounds
