Is It True That There Is A Lot Of Inbreeding In Kentucky

Is Miley Cyrus the product of inbreeding?

No. She is the product of the soul sucking corporation also known as Disney. Sadly, she will never be able to escape with her soul. A majority of Disney stars go this way, but as far as I know, Shia LaBouf got away with his somehow, unless there is some detail I'm missing.

What is the most interesting thing about Kentucky?

To the other answers, add Old Louisville. San Francisco, Savannah, Charleston and New Orleans are justly famous for their old houses, but Louisville deserves to be much better known than it is for its old neighborhoods and their Victorian-era houses. Many of them are in areas that are zoned for single-family residences, so the magnificent old mansions haven’t been chopped up into apartments. Old Louisville, which is not far from Churchill Downs, is one such neighborhood.Whenever I visit Kentucky, I try to drive from Louisville to Lexington on the back roads. I love horses, and the many horse farms between the two cities are a feast for the eyes.Beautiful natural wonders are Cumberland Falls, the highest waterfall in the South, and the Kentucky River south of Lexington, with its palisades.

Why are people from Kentucky stereotyped as uneducated, inbred, and hillbilly's?

It isn't just people from Kentucky. In fact, I hear less about Kentucky than I do about people from West Virgina, the Carolinas, and most of the deep south. The problem isn't that southerners are stupid. The problem is that Yankees are RUDE. Statistically, IQ averages have nothing to do with geography, and while most northern states do have better public education, health care, and social programs, I think its safe to say that there aren't many southerners who would EVER want to live in a place as filthy, dangerous, and downright unpleasant as New York City, Chicago, Detroit, or Los Angeles.

Why is there so much inbreeding in Tennessee?

Inbreeding was relatively common in isolated mountain communities that are found in Tennessee, West Virginia, Kentucky and many other areas. If only a few families settle in an area that's isolated, it won't be long before someone's marrying their cousin. You can't just pick on the mountain folk, European royalty is a fine example of inbreeding. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are cousins.

Why does kentucky have such a bad reputation?

Well for starters they are really sexist towards women. Ex: my mom had a business trip to there and i tagged along to go on vaction in hawaii after so we stopped in a restraunt and i got into a fight with the waiter because when my mom spoke he would ignore her, not look at her, and said that she didnt have any right to order because she was a woman. i dont recommend going, and theyre all inbred jus sayin

Why are people from Kentucky often thought of as inbreds?

Okay I am originally from Kentucky but have been living in Indiana for a little over three years. People from Indiana often say people from Kentucky are inbred and my question is why? I had lived in Kentucky most of my life and I knew no one who was inbred nor was my family. Heck people from anywhere could be inbred and not even know it or realize it! My teacher's even say that people from there and inbred and I for one find it annoying if some person I barely even know comes up to me and ask's me if I have ever had "family relationships"! So can anyone answer this for me?

Is inbreeding common in West Virginia?

Well, you know what Jeff Foxworthy said. If you’ve been married three times and still have the same in-laws, if you go to a family reunion to pick up girls, etc. etc. That said, in spite of the running gags, it is no more true of (for example) West Virginia than of any other rural state. The ills that befall the state have much more to do with grinding poverty, declining industry (coal mining in particular), malnutrition related to said poverty, and so on. If inbreeding were truly a thing, then genetic disorders would be far more common than they are.So while I may tease West Virginians as a Virginian, I don't actually believe the jokes. They are fine people stuck in a really crappy economy with little to no serious effort from outside to improve things.

What are the facts about inbreeding in certain parts of America?

I think it is a lot more common than people realize…and it is not always negative. These articles explain it best.Go Ahead, Kiss Your CousinInbreeding In Eastern KentuckyMy one experience with inbreeding was when, for a brief period I did psychological evaluations of people in North-Western North Carolina, particularly in Madison, Mitchell and Yancey Counties. I met some amazing families, living isolated in the mountains for generations. I felt like I was transported back in time and yes, sometimes the family resemblance between generations was remarkable.
