Is It Weird If You Want To Sing In A Rock Band But Don

I want to start a rock band and I want to sing. What is the equipment I need? What should I buy if I don't really have a large budget?

Depending on where you are the cheapest option is to buy nothing and instead:- Use a dedicated rehearsal studio. For example in London has many great venues set up for live bands. You book and pay per hour and everything except the instruments are provided.- Team up with other musicians. If you can't afford a guitar a cheaper way is to work with a guitarist who has. If you're working collaboratively you'll share the cost of the rehearsal studio as well.So out of all this the biggest cost is rehearsal studio hire.  If you're using an instrument it's the cost of the instrument and it's upkeep (drum sticks, batteries, strings, pics etc).If you're doing it yourself you'll need a PA for the vocals and any instrument without a dedicated amp. You'll need this to get over the sound of the drums which don't come with volume controls. And you'll also need a place where you won't disturb other people. If you have neighbours you can't just practice in your living room!

Rock bands' lead singers?

Why do a lot of rock bands’ lead singer sounds so girly, unmanly – like Blink 182’s lead singer? Every time I listen to a new band their lead singer sounds feminine like a whinnying baby. This is why I love to hear Kurt Cobain sing: he sounds like a man singing! Why does a lot of newer rock bands leader singer sound so girly?

Who was the lead singer of the rock band Queen?

Freddie Mercury, assuming this is a serious question I will now proceed to gawk over why Freddie Mercury is one of the best singers of all time. Despite popular belief of him being a tenor he was a baritone at heart, with that being said, he was able to sing notes higher than most tenors (like myself) can sing, showing what kind of power and control he had over his voice, there is a big controversy but it is popular belief he has a 4 octive range, which is impeccable, cause most people have a 1.5-2, I myself after about 4 years of training have a 3, so imagine how long it took him to get 4, He also had the ability to sing multiple different styles of music like, for instance “Bohemian Rhapsody” is one of the most popular songs on this planet, and you wouldn't think he could sing that and also sing something like “We Will Rock You" that kind of talent is unheard of. Anyways, the sad thing is we will never have another Freddie Mercury.

How do i make a rock band?

First thing to note: NO ONE WILL LAUGH AT YOU! How do you think other rock bands were started? And even if some people do laugh, check out all the other bands out there that were probably laughed at.
Second: I love your thinking. Having you as a main singer and the rest of the band guys is something people are looking for nowadays.
Third: Finding band members. Here is the hardest part. You need a bassist, a lead guitarist, a drummer, and perhaps another guitarist. But they can't be random. They need to be good. Start by looking for one position at a time. Look for your guitarist first. Search around by asking and talking to people. Then have them show you how good they are. This is exactly how my band started. I'm the bassist and was asked by the lead singer. You'd be surprised about how much people would like to be in a band, but they themselves are scared to look around, so they keep their talent locked up. Putting poster up could be O.K., but isn't the best way. Talking and asking is the best way. When you get your band members, hold your first practice on a convenient day and have each member get to know each other and maybe jam a bit. Then decide on a name for the band, which is also hard. To brighten you up, if you haven't heard of the band Flyleaf, look them up, they are the kind of band (perhaps not the style) that you describe, with a girl as the lead singer. 14 years old is the perfect age to be starting this, so don't give up and keep on singing. You'll get there. Wish you luck!

What r some rock bands w/black lead singers?

The Band that I'm looking for came out about the same time Green Day, Bush, Live and others like these. The lead singer had dreads. I really like a couple of their songs, but don't know the name of their band.
