Why did everyone think GTA IV was the best?
There is a lot of stuff in San Andreas that I was dissapointed to see left out of GTA 4, but generally I like #4 better. First of all, Niko Bellic is the F*cking man! Secondly, the story is more grounded in realism, appropriateley dark, and truly compelling. Thirdly, Liberty City is very impressive, strongly resembling N.Y.C. but at the same time distinctly it's own city. Also, even though it feels artificial in many ways, it's still feels more "alive" than any other GTA environment. The realistic graphics and physics adds much to the enjoyment of the game. In the old GTAs when somebody gets shot, they don't really act like they've been shot. They just kind of stand there and flinch slightly as bullets rip through them, but in this game they react much more realistically. I love seeing the furniture get ripped apart and the walls being splattered with blood durring a shoot out, as well as the way people get hit when you run them down in a car, leaving it covered in blood. In short, the action is more realistic and engaging. The refined aiming system and the addition of the cover system are much needed and highly welcomed improvements. I also like how the game allows you to make several decisions through out the game, some of which affect the story. I'm also glad they didn't include the character stats (muscle, fat, stanima, etc.) from San Andreas, that was something I found boring as building those up pulled you away from the action, although hanging out with Niko's friends is perhaps more obnoxious because they're always calling you.

Well, i hav happened to play the whole series i think you will like the game grand theft auto 4 because well you know the graphics are fantastic. You really get a feel for the game like when steering any vehicle you can turn by turning the remote i have a playsation 3 by the ways. It seems that you can walk just about into any store that you want you can free roam around liberty city and not only killing is fun, but like when you walk into the cloths store it seems so realilistic oh and your cell phone you can call anyone you want and you can aloso enter cheats, well then there my answer i highly recomend this game dude. Hi guys. I have problems. :) With GTA IV for the PC! Ok, here's the problem: I have had GTA since it was released for PC. It worked perfectly fine until... CRASH It crashed! It's really annoying! It only did that recently. I had to reinstall the game, because it crashed and stuff. When I reinstalled it, I loaded it up and installed the update. I clicked play and it goes through the character art. It then says "Loading --- Story Complete", so I wait. Then it crashes to Windows! "Grand Theft Auto IV has to close we are sorry for the inconvenience" It's more than inconvenience! Inconvenience is reinstalling the game once. I have done that several dozen times!!!!! That's not inconveniance! THAT'S TAKING THE PISS!!!! Please help, faithful question answerers who always usually are able to help me! This time I'm really annoyed! HELP!
The best of the Grand Theft Auto Series before GTA IV?
Yeah man I think it's also Vice city. I also think that san andreas was a very good game. I felt that gta IV should have kept it like san andreas. I was hoping for a gta game like san andreas on the next gen systems. I'm not saying gta IV was bad because the graphics were amazing and the gameplay was also fantastic. But I feel it's missing something probably another location but it's just my opinion. :)
Which one should I buy: Gears of war 2 or GTA 4?
Go with gears of war 2. They are always adding more stuff to it so players never get bored. On July 28th they are coming out with a new chapter for the story mode. All GTA IV has is The Lost and Damned which isn't that great. I played the first few missions and I was completely bored. I can play gears of war 2 all night with friends. And one more thing is that Gears of war 2 has a mode called horde where you have to survive as long as possible while there are waves of locust coming at you trying to kill you.
