Is It Weird To Get A Tattoo In Rememberence Of Your Grandma If She Isn

Can my grandmother sign for me to get a tattoo?

In the state I live some shops allow legal guardians to sign for tattoo's
but, It is actually illegal

Since you are not 18 it is a form of child abuse
and your grandma's Signature states that she is allowing and taking
responsibility for this to happen
so she can go to jail if someone complains
and all they need is your name and your grandmothers name to report the incident

this is something most people do not know

wait until you are 18 (I know that's not what you want to hear)
no one want's to be told to wait

but as for price $65 roughly :P

What tattoo do you want and where?

I want a sunflower tattoo on my wrist.I’m very close to my great grandpa. He buys me books every year for Christmas and my birthday, but gives my cousins $5 gift cards (favoritism much?) :) He has a little garden in his backyard. When I was born, he planted sunflowers. Over the years, he taught me to grow them. Sadly, I can’t even keep a cactus alive, but now I can grow sunflowers taller than me. Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flowers.I want it to be tiny, and even though it will be visible on my wrist, I can always find a foundation that covers up tattoos or just wear a long sleeve shirt.I wont be getting the tattoo anytime soon, because I would like to pay for it with my own money when I’m an adult. I know my dad thinks tattoos are “trashy,” and while my mom has a tattoo, she wouldn’t want me to get one. I won’t make a big deal out of it, but they probably will.I think I might like something like these tattoos. I’m not quite sure exactly what I will do, but I have at least 4 years to plan it all out.

Need help with a tattoo in memory of my grandmother?

I'm getting a tattoo in memory of my grandmother and I don't want it to be like every other tattoo, so i've decided to get a ekg line ( pulse, heartbeat) and have it go into saying something else. My original idea was "i love you" but now i'm starting to think about "sempre con me" which is always with me in Italian. The tattoo can't be too long so the words have to be short. Anyone have any ideas of something else I could say, I would much appreciate your help!

Girlfriend wants a tattoo?

Even a meaningful tattoo is a trashy tattoo. I am suspicious of memorial tattoos because they are reductionistic. Reductionistic in the sense that no amount of artfully-designed ink can adequately capture the essence nor the memory of the deceased person. If your girlfriend feels deeply for her grandmother, which surely she does, she does not need a tattoo to remind her of the memories or the loss. She has an internal tattoo much deeper than any ink. Remind her of that. That being said, does she also want the tattoo to symbolize to other people her loss or her grandmother's life? Everybody must cope with loss, and frankly the people who care about your girlfriend's loss don't need to see her tattoo to know the effect that loss has had on her. I am going to guess that she is exposed to people who find memorial tattoos as a socially acceptable means of grieving the loss of a loved one. However, most adults find deeper ways to grieve than a tattoo. After all, ink is only skin deep.

How is getting a tattoo different than deciding to wear the same shirt everyday for the rest of your life?

Tattoos represent something about you. It's more like hanging a beautiful piece of art on your wall forever, as opposed to wearing a smelly shirt all the time. Clothes are just clothes, they have no personal value after a while. A shirt can't tell a story, a tattoo can.

I want a tattoo dedicated to my grandfather.. any ideas?

I am sorry for your loss, please accept my sympathy.

The purple heart is a beautiful design and would make an excellent tattoo, you could put his initials or name under it, or on a banner ribbon:

Also, the Silver Star is quite nice in design and would make a good tattoo:

Maybe you could do a silhouette of him fishing (if you have a suitable picture):

maybe a trophy fish and gear or a fishing pole and/or boat:

I would take the images that appeal to you, think about how you can personalize them, or combine them, or add a ribbon banner with words, or name, etc. Think about size and colors, then take everything to your artist and have a consultation as to what would translate best into a tattoo and in the size and placement that you are thinking about. Let the artist add their input, and maybe draw up a custom work for you based on what you say and what images that you bring in.
Good luck with this.
