Is It Wierd To Facebook Message My Old Potentially New Boss.

Is facebook dangerous for someone like me?

Facebook IS dangerous IF you allow everyone to see your profile, your pictures, & you put up personal info. I always have my info set so that only friends can see everything, & I only accept people I know to be a friend on my facebook. On the info section some people put where they live, where they work, their phone number, their email, when they graduated, pictures of themselves & their families, etc, that's a way for Identity theft people to more easily get access to info they need to steal your identity. It's also a way for creeps/stalkers, etc to find where you live to "take advantage" of you or kidnap your children.
Most people use facebook to catch up with old friends, keep in touch with their current friends (although I think calling someone should be the proper way), look for dates, brag about your life, play games, just something to do, etc, etc.

How can I hide my Facebook from potential employers and colleges?

From the privacy settings: 1. Make yourself unsearchable in google and other search engines2. Make all of your posts private/for friends only3. Don't let anybody send you friend request, but keep the messaging option open in case you'd still like to be approached.4. As the profile picture (at least as a thumbnail) and the cover photo will be visible nevertheless, be careful about those.

Is Facebook Message suitable for professional matters?

tl;dr: In most cases, Facebook is not a professional means of communication, unless the other party has otherwise expressed that it's okay.I think what is missing from the description of your situation is the purpose for which you are contacting her and what your relationship is.For example, if this was my university recruiter, I wouldn't resort to Facebook unless they have made it clear that it is appropriate for you to reach out to them via Facebook. If this is a client of your company or a client's representative, it is probably more appropriate to first try to find another means of communication, such as a general/main phone number or a more general email address. So, if this is someone who potentially will be your boss or employer, I would avoid Facebook, especially if they have not given it to you or contacted you through Facebook before (ie, if you went and searched for them). Personally, it does kind of creep me out at first when someone searches for me on Facebook and sends me a message. If Facebook is literally the only option or is the absolute last resort, I think Dima provided a lovely answer. If, for example, you are more like peers, it might be more appropriate. For example, I am asking for volunteers to validate some evaluations. All of the volunteers are students at my university and in my home CS department. If one of the volunteers were to contact me via Facebook instead of email, I wouldn't be offended by that.

Can potential employers see social media posts that I have already deleted?

There is at least one service that does this kind of research on potential hires and they publish a FAQ here that indirectly answers your question.Different services have different terms of service. For instance, Twitter will allow you to delete public tweets, however; they do not guarantee that your tweet will be unavailable for people to see once you delete it.From their help files: If other users have Retweeted your Tweet with a comment of their own, their Tweets will not be removed.Tweets may be cached or cross-posted on third-party websites, applications, or search engines. We cannot remove Tweets that are not on Twitter. So there are a few factors involved in answering this question. As another person mentioned; once something is on the internet; there is a strong probability that it has been stored in numerous locations. That is due to the fact that there are numerous organizations and individuals who run programs that do nothing more then scan the internet and archive the information.

My 12 yr old daughter flirting with older boys? What do I do?

I have two daughters, one 12 and one 15 yrs old, who have both been getting worse and worse with discipline lately and its driving me crazy! Just last night I came home and found an older boy, who I think may have been a junior or senior in high school, in my 12 yr old daughters bedroom!

It was clear to me that she was flirting with him, practically throwing herself at him, and I told him in a rather strict tone that he needed to get out because she knows she isnt supposed to have boys over and in her room with a closed door! He sulked out and lingered around in the living room while waiting for his other friend, who is my 15 yr old daughters boyfriend, to pick him up when they got back from wherever they had gone. I told him he should wait outside on the front steps.

My 12 yr old daughter was furious for me kicking this older boy out of her room and being so mean about it, but I told her shes lukcy Im only grounding her for this weekend!

Now I just don't know what else I can do! Although I wasnt wild about my 15 year old daughters choice of boyfriends, especially since hes several years older than her and is a Senior in high school, while she is still just a freshman; but since he is really sweet to her Ive let it slide so far. I mean, when I was a freshman in HS, I dated older boys who were Seniors too, so I cant exactly fault her for that.

But, when one of my older daughters skeezy friends is over at our apartment alone with my 12 yr old daughter while shes hitting on him and flirting with him like he's the last man on earth, I just don't know what else to do!

I work late shifts, and often don't get home till after 10pm or 11pm at night or later and I can't be there to keep this guy from coming by and hanging out with my 12 yr old daughter between when they get out of school at 3pm and 9pm or so. I told her I dont want him around when Im not there, and under no circumstances is he to be in her room, but I have no illusion that she can't just text him and have him there every afternoon or evening while Im at work, alone with her in her room, and I would never know about it or be able to do anything about it!

I tried grounding her and threatening to punish her more, but I just don't know what else I can do!?!?!

What are the drawbacks to Boost Mobile service?

My Alltel contract is almost up and I was checking out Boost Mobile because they have unlimited text and calls for $50 a month.

I mean, sure, its advertised by Young Jeezy, Jermaine Dupri and Mickey Avalon, but there's got to be a catch to this. I'm looking to hear from other people that have used Boost Mobile as to how good their service really is. What's the downside?
