Is Lenovo A Good Brand For A Laptop

Is lenovo a good laptop brand?

I am planning to buy a lenovo g50 which has 8gb ddr3 memory and an i7 processor to meet my needs. But what matters to me is reliability. All the toshibas I owned each had a problem. Dell and hp apprently have bad psus. Asus is good but I don't really like the brand. I don't know anything about lenovo but I can tell they sell semi high end products for a budget price. So I am relying on you guys to help me with this because I am not that familiar with lenovo. Thanks!

Is lenovo a good brand for laptops?

Between three, Toshiba is the best but also the most expensive. Lenovo is somewhat middle ground (it's formerly IBM that bought by Chinese company). I don't know about HP but I don't really like it (and it's not popular here anyway).

I bought Toshiba about 14 years ago (it have P4 2.6GHz processor, 512MB DDR1 RAM, 128 shared VRAM, and 80GB HDD, speak about low spec... but it considered high tech back then) and it's still working just fine till now. Only the DVD drive that have some problem... but it's not Toshiba fault if the drive is inferior compared to their laptop.

Since it's my only laptopt, I use it everyday for all kind of work, gaming, and browsing. Now if that's not durable and reliable, I don't know what's it called. My friend also have 10+ years old Toshiba which still works just fine.

EDIT: Remember that time when we have laptop battery exploding and burning on us? Toshiba is one of those laptop brands who don't experience that problem.

Is Lenovo, a good laptop brand?

First off, I’ll start out by saying that my opinion is biased because I’ve used Lenovo Thinkpads while working for two corporations spanning over 20 years. I think it would also be safe to say that seasoned IT professionals chose Lenovos for a reason - reliability and ruggedness. Keep in mind that these IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad laptops excel as a “business” laptop and if you’re planning to use it simply for personal use, games, etc., you may want to shop around for a notebook/laptop more suitable for your personal needs. Lenovo also has other lines of laptops (other than Thinkpads) that will satisfy any user. Keep in mind that from my observations, Lenovos are a tad more expensive than other brands. Incidentally, I am retired and just ordered a Lenovo Carbon X1 (6th gen). This was rated as the top business laptop in the industry by many consumer reviewers. Even though I am retired, the quality of build and reliability was enough to make my choice an easy one over other machines. The look and feel of other laptops felt flimsy and cheap to me. If you’re lucky enough to find a Lenovo at a computer store, you may want to play with it and all the rest to get a good comparison with the ergonomics of different brands before making a choice. Ergonomics are important for most people. IBM/Lenovos are known for their excellent keyboards.Yes, I’ve owned many other brands of laptops for personal use - Toshiba, HP, Acer. To me, the quality of those brands do not meet my personal preferences. This is not to say others will not disagree and think HPs for example, has the best features of all. Selecting a laptop is like shopping for shoes or clothing. You try them on (playing with them at the store) before buying them. Everyone has varying tastes. So, to answer your question, Lenovos are not only good, they are arguably the best for business use (see reviews), but may not be the good enough for others.

Is asus a good laptop brand?

For the most part it all depends on you. Your question is an very interesting one since HP doesn't make a laptop Dell doesn't make a laptop and Toshiba doesn't make a laptop. Quanta makes laptops for Apple Inc., Compaq, Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard,[2] Alienware, Amazon.com, Fujitsu, Gericom, Lenovo, LG, Maxdata, MPC, Research In Motion, Sharp Corporation, Siemens AG, Sony, Sun Microsystems, and Toshiba.

Asus typically builds their own computers with their own hardware and they make pretty good hardware. I would say they are a good laptop typically with less "crap ware" than many of the others but as with any electronics each device is going to be different and now a days computers typically should be replaced within 5 years anyway.

Is Lenovo ideapad a good laptop?

Lenovo is good no matter what you buy. IBM hardware is solid no matter what you buy...it's just some machines are more powerful than others. IBM machines typically last much longer than your typical consumer laptop or desktop, so much so that I still see people using older IBM ThinkPad machines still to this day.

Dell, HP, Lenovo, or ASUS for laptop brand?

I've stumbled upon quite a lot of comparisons between these 4 laptop brands. However, most of them are years old, and things can change, so I want to know which brand is the best overall today.

Originally, I was going to get the new macbook pro, but because of its underwhelming specs and huge increase in price, I've finally decided to get a windows laptop until apple can come out with an affordable and powerful macbook pro, whenever that may be.

I've already created a list of laptops that I have in mind:
-Dell XPS 13
-Dell XPS 15
-HP Spectre 13
-HP Spectre x360
-HP Spectre x2
-Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga
-Lenovo Yoga 900
-Lenovo Ideapad 710S
-ASUS Zenbook Pro UX501VW

I ask which brand is best overall because it will help me greatly narrow my decision on which laptop to buy.

Also, if you wish, you can direct suggest which out of the top laptops are the best. I mainly plan on using the laptop for schoolwork, watching anime, and playing video games on steam (Nothing AAA though. Pic of example of a game's spec I would play below.) Nothing too heavy.

Thanks a bunch.

Which is a better laptop brand Dell or Lenovo?

Lenovo would be better in battery life, build quality and reliability. Dell laptops and desktops are not build strong but in terms of reliability, our computers are going strong for 6 years.

Search for best performance and lowest cost. If its Dell then get it, if its Lenovo then get it.
