Dark circles under eye...best concealer? HELP X?
what i do before applying my undereye concealer is that i apply a moisturizing lotion underneath my eye gently. make sure that the undereye area is still a little wet from the lotion while u apply ur concealer. it helps to smooth out the concealer and make it not cakey like mine used to be. another option is to try a primer. there's one by smashbox that i've heard is really good. primers are used BEFORE u apply your makeup. it can be used underneath any kind of makeup such as eye shadow, foundation, concealer. it makes the makeup go one smoothly and stay on. i bet the probelm isn't ur concealer, it's just that u need to make the skin a little smoother. ii personally like using face moisturizer before applying concealer, and i use covergirl concealer. it's cream like, shaped like a lipstick, and it's in a lipstick like tube. :)
Best under eye concealer? Is MAC worth it?
I have really super dark under eye cirlces, but I can't get the eve pearl concealer. I heard it was super good, but i have a $20 note for Nordstrom and I'm deciding whether I should get a MAC concealer or the Clinique concealer that I mix with another concealer, but it's just such a hassle in the morning. Is the MAC concealer good? Should I stick with the Clinique? The Clinique one is like .5 oz for $19.50 which is kinda a rip off. Also everything cakes on me so easily. I also find that MAC is less expensive than other brands like their products are mostly under $20
Concealer turns my under eyes grey!?
You probably have bluish circles normally, and the concealers are in colors all wrong for coverage. They may be too light as well as too off-colored. Bobbi Brown has some great, creamy concealers that are meant to go UNDER the final concealer or makeup. Like, I use a pinkish one and then put my makeup over that. But you may need to go to a good professional makeup artist. Generally speaking you want HIGHLIGHTER type cream in the corners of the eyes, then a light gleamy coverup with lots of staying power. If it is spotty or comes off or is the wrong color, you'd be better off with NOTHING. You are definitely going to need to try some different colors. I have a decent priced makeup kit I got somewhere that has all kinds of colors. I didn't think I would ever use most of them, but in fact, I love it because I found the ideal undereye thing (it's pinkish) and then the right color to go over that, and even darker ones to shade my face under the chin to look more sculpted. Just play around with colors and stand under the worst lights so you can find the right shades, and make sure they STAY!
How can you stop under-eye concealer from creasing?
First off, you can't. No matter how much the brands promise, at some point every concealer will crease. You can however make it crease less. Most important factor is hydration, especially when using a full coverage concealer. Make sure you use a very good hydrating (eye) cream. When putting on your concealer, always apply less and build it up, rather than using a lot of product at once. You might have to do a touch up now and then, so keep the concealer in your purse.
If you sleep with concealer under your eyes, will you get dark circles?
It depends on your skin type. Are you prone to getting dark circles? Sometimes this is genetic, you can't do anything it and the make up will only make it worse. It also depends on what products are included in your make-up. Make-up containing oils should be avoided. Powder make-up is less likely to affect your under eye area. You must also remember that most of the time dark circles are causes from constantly rubbing your under eye area because the skin becomes thinner therefor the veins are more visible (hence the blue/purple colour) Btw not removing make-up can increase wrinkles as you get older. So it is a good idea to remove it! Personally my dark circles have increases a lot after i started to use make-up under my eyes.
Should I use eye primer or concealer or both before applying eyeshadow if I have extremely dark circles under my eyes?
The basic purpose of eye primer is to make your eye makeup last longer i.e it helps to avoid creasing of concealer and eyeshadow. Now coming to the concealer. Concealer helps in even out your skin darkness ,uneveness and pigmentation. So if you have darkness around eyes then you must apply a good concealer before doing eye makeup but if you want to make your eye makeup more long-lasting then you must apply an eye primer before your concealer. Also eye primer acts as a good base for your eye makeup.So the best answer for your question is to apply both when you want to hide your dark circles and make your concealer crease less.
What is the difference between eye concealer and eye brightener?
Concealers tend to be thicker and cover your circles better. Esspecially if the color is darker, or purple. You can use both to get the best coverage and effects from your make-up. Its just a nice touch to brighten up your eyes, or eye make-up. This would go on after tyhe foundation and or powder.
