What is the best scope for English honours?

Where there is a will, there is a way…Its your own passion that makes your field full of scope for you. On a serious note English Hons is not a as professional course as engineering and other courses are but it gives a very strong foundation to your professional career. English is a global language and connects the world, so one has to be exceptionally well at this. Coming to the question, there is no best thing you can do after this, its your choice but the 2 best professional careers are professorship and mass communication. In professorship, things will come to you easily, they take their time. If you start preparing for NET by the starting of your Master’s course and clear it before you qualify your Phd entrance exam, then your way to a decent job will become smooth. By the time you will complete you Phd in whatever topic you choose, you will be really close to a job. Just hold on to the command on your language and knowledge and no one can stop you!The second best option is mass communication. What's the difference between an English honours and BA in English?

I don't think that there exists such a thing as just BA ( English) . If it has a particular subject name attached to it , it becomes a degree in hons.BA (Engilsh) is an undgraduate level degree which a student can pursue from some universities in the county. ( Not all universities offer Hons degree but most of them do now.In BA (Pass) also called as just BA involves various subjects according to the chosen stream of humanities, sciences or arts. You have to take these subjects as prescribed by the college/university norms and regulations. Whereas in case of a BA (Hons) you specialise in a particular subject eg English ( then it's called BA hons(English) . An honours degree is usually of 4 years duration. The first year you are to study different subjects like in a BA (Pass) course and then for the next three years you study the subject of your specialisation eg English in this case ( as per your question) .Sometimes , depending on the college there are certain criteria for getting yourself eligible for an Hons degree like you might be required to score above a particular level 75% or above in a subject in your first year .Now that the graduation course has been divided in semesters ( it was not the case before in all the colleges ) , the requirements may have been altered accordingly. It all depends on the college where you are seeking admission in to and the streams as well.I hope my answer helps…

Is BHU good for M.A. in English?

I did my Masters in English from B.H.U. and from my experience I would say that the campus of arts faculty particularly is not very nice. There is not much to the campus, you come to the class and thats it. Then its mainly about having good friends and the teachers. The system here is very complicated. I mean you have 4 subjects and for that you have about 10 teachers so that many assignments. Some of the teachers are partial but thats the case everywhere.I did my Bachlors from an affiliated college and I enjoyed there much more. The thing that I liked about it is that if I am here compared to an affiliated college is that I can know my things related to Ph.d programme. If one is planning to do his/her Ph.d from here than its a good option.

Is it necessary to do MA in English literature after completing BA (hons) in the same?

Depends on what your aim is. If you want to appear for NET or Slet you not only are required to have an M.A degree but you should also obtain 55% marks in it.If you want to teach in schools, instead of doing M.A, pursue B.Ed.If you want to go to the creativity sector like script writing, content writing and the likes, go for Diploma in Creative writing from IGNOU or British Council.Again, if you are good at English literature but not so good at spoken English, enlist yourself in a thorogh spoken English course. Then again, you may want to join corporate life right after college, in that case M.A would be a waste of time.Ask yourself, will the M.A degree help you in advancing your career or will that degree be used by your father to show off his son’s or daughter’s skill.

BA.LLB or B.A.B.L is a 5 year Integrated course

BA.LLB 5 years = BA (hons) + LLB
it includes both BA & LLB

5 yrs BA.LLB is a professional course , which also includes ur graduation n post graduation. whereas BA degree is just graduation. After BLS u will be lawyer and after a BA degree u will just be a graduate

(BLS is more towards to a professional and specialized field like if you want to do Finance, Engineering, or etc. A BA is a bachelor in Arts where you do not know want you want to do, so its more like a liberal arts feel)

The BLS LLB program is a 10-semester full time course. The first 2 years (4 semesters) constitute a 'pre-law' course where the student is taught social-science subjects like - Economics, Political Science, Sociology, History, Logic, English, Legal Language, History of Courts, etc. In the next three years the actual law subjects are dealt with - like torts, Contracts, Family law, Labour laws, Constitutional law, Property law, Law of Crimes, International law, Interpretation of statutes, Alternate dispute resolution and so on. A total of 4 practical training papers are compulsory for all the students. The BLS degree is awarded to the students after successful completion of the 3rd year and the LLB degree is awarded after completion of 5 years.

The BLS degree is a great boon to the students, as the student is declared a graduate after 3 years and becomes free to pursue other PG courses side-by side and also becomes eligible to apply for jobs or give various entrance exams

And yes u can do this after 12th

What is the difference between an MA in English and an MA in English literature?

No big difference mate...MA in English, Literature, Linguisticsthese are all quite confusing MA in English and MA Literature is all about mixed subjects like English Grammar, World and Indian Literature from 15th to modern century. and In MA in English esp you have the subject how to teach English grammar and stuff. And Linguistics deals with the Grammar part and depths of any language.
