How come its "racist" to want to secure our border?
You aren't racist. Immigration laws are for two main purposes--1) to protect the citizens of a nation from criminals and predators coming into a country to exploit it and 2) to provide a way for a nation to be sure that those it allows to enjoy the benefits of citizenship have something to offer the nation in the way of skills or assets. Now, that may seem unfair to some, but in reality it is just reasonable. None of us can just go to a country we like (I like France) and move in there and expect to have all the benefits of citizenship--healthcare, protection by the police, social security, etc. If we could just do that, don't you think everyone would flee to the most attractive country around and just squat there, making its citizens support them? The U.S. system can't sustain the number of people coming here illegally from Mexico, Central and South American countries. They come from terrible systems, they have no skills, and they put an incredible burden on our social services, law enforcement (to protect the harmless from the harmful ones!) and our social security system. It would be nice if we could provide charity for the whole world, but it is unsustainable. We're broke. It's time for people to stop flooding in here expecting to just stay illegally. Whether they are Dutch, Mexican, Russian, Israeli, Iranian or whatever, they need to be deported. That's not racism--that's just sense.
