Are Labs sissy and coward dogs?
there is an over abundance of labs in shelters, many of them are purebreds that no one wanted. labs are fierce dogs. when i was around 8 years old, my brother and i were in our yard playing and my yellow lab saved us from being mauled to death by a pit bull and a rottie that my neighbor had trained as fighting dogs and that had escaped. (we had no knowledge that he trained fighting dogs, wasnt a great neighborhood back then). so no, i would have to say they are in no way cowardly. labs can be more dangerous than any dog i have ever seen when something is threatening their human.
My Watch Dog is a Sissy!?
My German Shepherd, Ruger, is a great dog. Very obedient, healthy and smart. However other than family pet, his job is to bark when people pull into our driveway or when people walk into the yard as an alert. We don't want him to growl or show aggression. We just want him to be our little siren. We've always had watch dogs, not a single one had trouble keeping an eye out. We want him to be our siren because we run a small home based business and people pull up unannounced all the time. We could get a driveway alarm, but we'd prefer to go with tradition and have our watchdog. Ruger is over a year old and only barks at other dogs, not cars, not people. Any advice on how to get him to bark but without aggression? Please no comments straying off the subject, I know there is a list of electronic items we could use as well we just want a vocal pup!

Every dog has different temperaments. Some are whiners and that may make them seem like sissies to you. You must be sure that when he's yelping it's not serious (he may be hurt or trying to say something) and that he may need to go to the vet. Otherwise, you can ignore his yelping or whining and maybe say, "no" sternly. That may show him that yelping (if it's for no reason) is useless and that way you won't be rewarding unwanted behaviour.

I think you're just going to have to accept that your cat is not quite straight. However, the question is, does he still like female cats, or does he prefer male cats? Gay cats are a lot easier to deal with than metrosexual cats, because at least you know they'll never get into a fight with male's, and never bring home a female.

If I break up with him he is gonna be a cry baby and call me every second ( this has happened before) Should I dump him? Should I confront him? should I yell at him? Should I tell him to man up? All of the above?
Can too much love for your puppy turn it into a sissy?
Go with your dog and get basic obedience training. Talk to the trainer about what other training you might want. Ignore the boyfriend or others who want your dog to be different than you do. Work with the trainer to train the dog to be the way that you want. It sounds like you are doing everything right at this point. I wonder about someone who thinks that a 12 week old puppy shouldn't be "sissy". (Do they want a 12 week old puppy to be fierce?)

My dog is going to die soon. How do I deal with this emotionally?

When the day comes and you take him to the vet to be put to sleep; be there, stay with him until the end. I know that the last thing my dogs have known was the feel of my hands stroking them and my voice telling them how much they were loved.Do get another dog when you’re ready, but don’t rush it, give yourself time to grieve. I’ve known people who get the same breed again and again, I know others who could never bear to have the same breed as a much loved pet.I will get another Golden, just not yet.There may be some people who don’t understand how deeply painful it is, they think “it’s only a dog” but there will be plenty who have been through it and will understand the aching sense of loss.
