Is My Friend A Musical Genius

Is my friend a musical genius or not?

My friend is 18 years old.Initially he learnt piano when he was 8 years old.But his teacher was very commercial and did not proceed properly hence he abandoned the piano after training for a year.Eventhough he loved music very much he was unable to continue because of his commercial teacher

He is 18 right now and he started to learn the violin from a good teacher. He mastered the violin within a year and he even composed several pieces.I was mesmerized by hearing his music. He can play any type of music including classical music instantaneously after hearing it and he could play it backwards. And he is able to play any musical instrument.Do you think he is a musical genius.
By the way do you think that he was stupid to abandon his music lessons when he was 8 years old.

Is My Friend a Genius?

ALSO! I keep forgetting to put these things, she was really good for like a year at trying to become more...err....popular? Normal? Idk what you would call it. She had up to like four or five friends and then one day simply confinded in me that she hated it and tore away from all those friends, going back to her old lifestyle. SHe was really good though, she would laugh and actually make jokes, that were really funny and had me rolling for quite a while even though they were usually just saturated with sarcasm. Anyhow, she could be a sociable person in a play, as it was all just an ACT anyway. It was totally fake even though you could hardly see through it.

HOWEVER, don't be fooled, her friends sometimes even came to me sometimes and would say they were a bit worried cause somedays she become so distant or so phony at being happy, I told them it was just her wanting to be alone for a while to just try to take it easy with her.

I protect her as much as I can and I almost think I'm h

Is my friend a genius?

Sounds to me like not only is she bright but she's smart enough to try and not seem superior.

My sister asked a lot of questions (she's pretty bright, that girl) and I remember that her teacher in grade 6 said one reason she got the school award was "because she was always asking questions." :-D

I remember a teacher I once had saying that in his first year at college he didn't write notes much at all but he listened and he talked and he asked questions and listened to the answers and come 2nd year, his classmates were asking those questions and he'd got them under control the year before. She'll probably be well ahead of the pack all the way through but sounds like she isn't conceited about it so kudos to her. :-)

EDIT:
Lisa K - Einstein was thought to have Asperger's Syndrome. That's a form of autism. Autism comes in more "flavours" than just totally unaware of the world and Asperger's has also been called "High Functioning Austism."

Rob Cantor is a current musical genius that you've never heard of. Can you tell me one I haven't heard of?

To increase my chances that there will be something here that is both new to you and to your liking, I've had to list a number of artists, which is easy given the number of awesome musicians. To be as brief as possible, I've excluded artists who are well known in the UK and not in the US or vice versa and such. If you're interested, you could look up different countries hit music charts or change your country settings in iTunes or something.Traditional recording artists/bands:Lene MarlinKimbraPaolo NutiniBetty WhoElsa and EmilieEmilie NicolasFirst Aid KitIcona PopIsac ElliotMarit LarsenThe Common LinnetsThe Ready SetTone DamliThe BaseballsMusician YouTuber channels (cover songs and originals):Kurt Hugo SchneiderMax SchneiderSam TsuiVictoria JusticeChrissy Costanza / Against the CurrentTiffany AlvordAlex GAlex GootTyler WardDave DaysChester SeeTessa VioletJason MundayComedy (parodies and original funny songs)"Weird Al" YankovicStephen LynchThe Lonely IslandYlvisFlight of the ConchordsThe Axis of AwesomeSchaffer the DarklordHank Green (and the Perfect Strangers)

Is Paul Simon considered a musical genius?

I have never liked this man one bit. I do like several Simon and Garfunkle songs and I like his Graceland album but as a man this guy is a world class a-hole. He ha marginal talent and has very little output considering how many years he has been around. It’s as if he made a few hits got in with this artistic NYC crowd and was more known for being friend tih big name stars. I see the character he plays in Annie Hall and think that has to be more of less how he really was. He was this geeky fat Jewish kid from Queens who started getting hot chicks due to his success and it went to his head and he thought it’e due to his being so hot and irresistible. Music could have easily done without him

My best friend has a genius IQ and is generally recognized as being super smart, yet I often feel much smarter than him. Am I delusional?

No you’re not delusional, you may be smarter in certain things than he is. You likely wouldn’t feel that way if you were given an I.Q test and it showed his I.Q higher than yours. I.Q. is Intelligence Quotient meaning the level of intelligence abilities not about knowledge.Take a genuine I.Q. test with IBM.Donna Thompson
