That is not true! I have a Louis Vuitton I purchased from their store and my purse had a lower case m looks exactly like this: LOUIS VUITTON PARIS made in U.S.A. Also theres a number etched in the leather inside my purse that is 6 digits/letters long. You can tell if its real by the leather too. When its new the leather at the handles and trim are really light colored and they get darker as you wear it. Pay attention to the details too, every gold stud says LOUIS VUITTON and the inside is a brown canvas material. A lot of fakes have "legs" at the bottom of the purse that look like gold studs too. Hi, I work at Louis Vuitton, you just have to be careful... if you take it into the store ANY of the employees will be able to tell you. If they can't they can go into the back and look through books, say if they bag as not been made in 50 or so years. BUT if ANYONE tells you they have to send it out to have it done, DON'T. Some LV stores will tell you they are going to send it out to have it authenticated, but in fact they are just throwing it out. So just have them look at it and they will know right away, and don't have it sent out.

So the LV on the front must be upside down on the other side.It has to be symmetric diagonally. Everything.On the inside, the "Louis Vuittion Made in Paris/U.S.A/ Spain/Italy" Stamp, must be stamped in the leather. So you can feel some bumps.The hardware, all of it, excpet for the D rings, must have the LV stamping.The little "screw" like things must have louis vuittion written on it, along with a small fleur de lis stamp.The handle, where the stiching looks like a "v-shape" must have 5 stiches only. 5 going up and 5 going down.7. Overtime, the monogram print neverfull's vachetta leather (light colored leather) will tan, as it oxidizes, it is called as a patina. It is honey colour. Fake's dont do that. I personally, didnt like the idea of tanning, and its untreated, hence more care is needed. Hence, I went for the damier ebene. And the handles undego "H-Tanning", the guy who was selling it to me, told me.
