Is My Voice Average Or Extreme

How many singers have or have had a five (5) octave or greater voice range?

Not many singers have been blessed with a five octave or greater vocal range, the average being three octaves. But in terms of giant vocal ranges, three singers come to mind:Freddie MercuryThe ever so famous gay singer of Queen. Freddy Mercury was considered a god among singers, and he had an amazing near 5 octave range, ranging from a bass' F2 to a soprano's F6 (which apparently kept increasing with the years passing), but what was most impressive was his ability to jump from one end to the other effortlessly, without having a strain on his voice.- "His technique was astonishing. No problem of tempo, he sung with an incisive sense of rhythm, his vocal placement was very good and he was able to glide effortlessly from a register to another. He also had a great musicality. His phrasing was subtle, delicate and sweet or energetic and slamming. He was able to find the right colouring or expressive nuance for each word." -Montserrat Cabballe [1]Axl RoseThe singer of Guns N' Roses. He had the record for widest vocal range as a singer, beating Mariah Carey, a woman who would introduce her band by singing at the same pitch as their instruments (ikr?): He can sing from an F1 to a B flat 6, which is more than 5 octaves, and just a few semitones under 6 octaves. Honestly, what impresses me the most is that this guy smokes which reduces your maximal range.Mike PattonAs i said, Axl HAD the record for widest vocal range as a singer. The singer of alternative metal band Faith No More has been found out to have a massive 6 octave voice nearly reaching the 7th octave. He is now the current holder of the record for widest vocal range.Honorable mentions- Mariah Carey (Singer with a massive range who barely got beaten by Axl for the title)- Tim Storms (record for lowest note reached with the human voice)- Rachelle Ferrell (Jazz singer with a 6 octave range)- Elton John (Singer with a wide range)- Michael Jackson (He doesn't need a intro)- Tiny Tim (Amazing falsetto singer)- Paul McCartney (Surprised? He had a wider range than Johnny Cash and Elvis flippin' Presley- Tim Foust (thanks for the suggestion Lars Heijne!)Sources:[1] Mercury and Caballé - "Friends until the end ... Viva - Barcelona!"

What is the average vocal range for an adult male and for an adult female?

As a rule of thumb, usable range is typically about two octaves. It's usually less for an untrained singer, possibly more for a trained singer. Falsetto can add another fifth or more to a male voice -- a generous estimate would have it adding no more than an octave.Among men, the broad categories are bass (about E2-F4), baritone (about G2-Ab4), and tenor (about Bb2-C5).Among women, the categories are alto (about F3-A5) and soprano (about A3-C6), with mezzo-soprano in between. The above is a very crude summary, and leaves out some weird outliers like oktavists (really deep basses). There are far more detailed taxonomies --  see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fach for example -- but you'll know for sure if you wind up needing more specific classification info.Don't be in a hurry to classify yourself or any other singer you work with. Many singers' exact range shifts a bit over time, and tessitura -- comfortable and strong notes, a.k.a. "money notes", within the range -- matters almost as much as range for determining suitable songs and parts. Individual voices, even of the same kind, will behave differently within the same pitch range. Also, don't be concerned if your range is less. Work on strengthening the notes you have, and your range will slowly grow a bit. There are great singers with small ranges, and singers who use their huge ranges poorly.

Boy extreme makeover?

Well I think you should turn him into a ditzy bimbo:

1) Obviously he does not need his male parts any longer so his boy parts can go bye bye and he has to have sex reassignment surgery. This way she will have the plumbing like an average girl.

2) Being a bimbo, she needs to be placed on female hormones to give her a female mind and body.

3) She needs the following cosmetic operations: breast augmentation, buttock augmentation, several facial surgeries to give him a feminine, a voice box shaving to give her a bimbo voice, and any weight loss surgeries he might need to give him a bimbo figure.

4) His breasts should be DD cups so he has the bimbo look down.

5) She must grow her hair down to her pierced belly button. It must be dyed platinum blonde.

6) In terms of hair removal, all his body hair needs to be removed via laser hair removal. Bimbos are clean girls.

7) In terms of piercings, he needs to have two in each ear, belly button and tongue. Those are standard for any bimbo.

8) He needs to become obsessive with makeup. His typical style should look like this:

9) He should be required to dress the part. His favorite stores must be Express, Bebe, Victorias Secret and Fredericks.

What is the average width of a penis?

This has gotta be the most commonly asked question in here...

While results vary across studies, the consensus is that the average human penis is approximately 5 - 5.9 in. in length with a 95% confidence interval of (4.23 in, 7.53 in). The typical girth or circumference is approximately 4.85 in. when fully erect. The average penis size is slightly larger than the median size (or, put another way, most penises are below average in size).

A research project, summarizing dozens of published studies conducted by physicians of different nationalities, shows that worldwide, erect-penis size averages vary between 3.7 in. and 6.2 in. It has been suggested that this difference is caused not only by genetics, but also by environmental factors such as culture, diet, chemical/pollution exposure, etc.

As with any other bodily attribute, the length and girth of the penis can be highly variable between individuals of the same species. In many animals, especially mammals, the size of a flaccid penis is much smaller than its erect size. In humans and some other species, flaccid vs. erect penis size varies greatly between individuals, such that penis size when flaccid is not a reliable indicator of size when erect.

Except for extreme cases at either end of the size spectrum, penis size does not correspond strongly with reproductive ability in almost any species.

The longest officially documented human penis was a find by Doctor Robert L. Dickinson. It was 13.5 inches long and 6.25 inches around. An even larger (but unofficial) measurement was obtained in 1969 by Dr. David Reuben, 14 inches long.

Can you tell if someone is attractive from just the voice?

A lot of operators and secretaries I hear on the phone for companies sound really really super duper cute. I can just imagine them looking so pretty. Can you tell if someone is attractive most of the time just by phone? I met one secretary who I was on the phone with nice voice...when I got there she was cute.

Additional details for those into science: They found out that women could tell which men are attractive just by voice recognition. Attractive not as in physical looks necessarily(but by how successful they are at dating). I didn't see the guys fo the study. Women are more in tune with feelings rather than physical attraction anyway. I am wondering if physical attractiveness can usually be extrapolated just from the voice.

I hate my voice?

Why do most pop singers prefer to sing in the extreme high end of their vocal range much of the time. Is it because it's more difficult vocally to control the subtleties of tone and pitch in a lower register?

In essence, YES - it is more difficult to control the subtleties of tone and pitch in lower registers because it requires more air and effort to produce them.Lower frequencies required more energy or "support"…go ask any car audio installer which frequency ranges eat up amplifier power..hell LOOK at a speaker (woofers are huge compared to tweeters)low notes require longer vocal chords…its easier to shorten what you have than lengthen it… Before I had the confidence and training to sing higher notes I mistakenly believed they were harder …it is far easier for me to belt out in a tenor than to maintain projection and dynamics in a lower (baritone) range…however I have more richness of TONE in lower ranges ..,thats the trade.

Is 4 octaves a large vocal range?

C3 (the C below middle C, which is C4) is definitely low for a female, especially a teenager, but C6 (2 C's above C4) is a pretty normal in terms of being the top of a female's range. However, if you can sing from the C3 to C6, that's really only three octaves, since you can sing all of octaves 3, 4, and 5, but only one note in octave 6. (Unless you're talking about C7, which is 3 C's above middle C, to which I say, "Wow!")

Just remember that what's really important isn't how wide your range is; it's where in that range you can sing the most healthily and beautifully that counts. Also, your voice is going to keep changing until you're well into your 20's. Singing in the extreme ranges of your voice during your teenage years without the right training (and sometimes even with the right training) could be harmful, so take it easy.

I'm a 13 year old girl and my Adam's Apple is "extremely" visible. Is this normal?

Odd, I have noticed that young women today have significantly larger Adams Apples than previous generations. Frankly, as an aspie, it's one of many ridiculous things that bug me for no good reason. When my son was in seventh grade, he was on the football team in a small Nebraska town. In that state, all schools are trained in the conditioning methods used by the University of Nebraska to serve as feeders for future teams. One of the exercises involved putting on a helmet with a weight fastened to the top. This was worn during exercises for the neck to strengthen it. Within weeks, his neck grew huge.I wonder if something like that is happening to young women. When I was young back in the Middle Ages, I never saw one woman with an apparent Adams Apple or a muscular neck. Women never exercised then. Now women diet which may mean less fatty tissue in the neck, and they often exercise with weights.I think all women probably have the same throat structures as men, but now they are more evident.
