So a lowish BMI of 17.1 kg/m2.Here are some percentile graphs on BMI in adolescents, boys and girls, US and Indian teens, find the one befitting your gender and ethnicity, and see on which percentile line you are”:Girls, USABoys, USAGirls, IndianBoys, IndianSo if you are a US teen girl, you’re on the 10 percentile line, not yet undernourished, but weighing a bit more would be better.

I'm a 17 year old female and need help in weight loss!?

Okay so I've lost 16 or so pounds since February, and I know how frustrating it can be! I really recommend this site www.sparkteens.com It gives you diet and exercise plans, and helps you set goals and track measurments. Also, do cario exercise (like walking, running, biking, etc.) at least 30 on two or three weekdays and A LOT on the weekends. Cut back slightly on calories, but not a ton since your working out a lot too. Just enough to give you a 500 calorie or so deficit (like maybe burn off 250 calories and eat 250 calories less than you do). Less than a 500 calorie deficit is perfectly fine too, but don't try more to burn faster becaue you wont, you'll just go into starvation mode which is both unhealthy and bad for weight loss goals. Eat a lot of fiber and protein because they make you feel full, and eat lots of fruit and veggies becaue they're super healthy and really low calorie. Drink at least 8 cups of water a day. It makes you fuller, is good for you, and helps wash out sodium and stuff.
Oh and also cut back on sodium because it makes you bloated and increase potassium because it makes you less bloated.
Yeah...hope that helps

How good are blueberries for weight loss? Is it okay to snack on them on night?

Blueberries are supposed to help with weight loss. They probably speed up your metabolism and that helps with weight loss.

Blueberries are very healthy and snacking on them at any time is OK.

Is it OK to lift weights without gloves?

Not only no, but fuck no.See, when I was lifting, I would do Bicep Hammer Curls. They target the bicep muscle better than the standard dumb-bell curl, and they did grow my biceps greatly. I also had the ability to lift more weight doing them, up to 50 pounds for 3 or 4 reps. Here’s what a hammer curl looks like:Photo Attribution: Burn the Fat Inner CircleNotice where his hands are? Well guess what, they chafe against the weight. Do you want to know what happens?See what I highlighted in red? You will peel your skin right the hell off. It will be so bad that you will be unable to do hammer curls anymore with that hand. It usually only took me 3 sessions of Hammer curls without gloves for my skin to peel off.So I would either use lifting gloves or winter gloves to lift. Winter gloves (the thin kind) in case I couldn’t find my lifting gloves.

IS This An good Start to lose weight?

Look i was in the same boat as you. I was 16 in grade 10 at school had braces and was 76kg. I wanted to loose weight... so i did. I got down to a size 10-12 by the end of the year and got to go to my leavers dinner in a gorgeous dress with no braces. I loved it. Being so young i would encourage you while your still young to loose weight. The older you get the harder it will become. Eat in moderation if you have a meal stick to a saucer plate rather than a huge 1

This is what i did.....
I ate fruit for breakfast or
low fat yoghurt with the heart healthy wise cereal on top of it.
You can eat the yoghury with different fruit if you want so it doesnt get so tastless and boring.
Or 1 egg on whole grain bread. with 1tsp butter, No more
With 1c milk, calcium is very important

Lunch.
Salad boiled chicken or tuna, no dressing if you can but if you cant go for the italian style. Just stay from mayo!
Salads shouldnt get boring because there is so much variety.

Dinner.
chicken or beef Stir fry, use the butter 1calorie spray to line your pan and then add whatever vegetables you want.
Or fish and salad, fish is low fat and very good for you.
Everything you cook in a pan use the 1cal spray. Dont use oil.

Snack
If you get hungry throughout the day snack on, fruit, carrot sticks, cellery sticks or the cereal. Try not to eat carbs (bread, cereal, pasta) after 3 because your body wont burn it off.

Drink lots of water at LEAST 1litre a day.
Do things like walk to work or school if possible. Swimming is good to. Just try and get excersise in wherever you can but i think eating the above for even a week you will notice a bit of difference.

Hope it helps

Is it normal for a 13 year old to weight 74 pounds?

At around that age, and considering she is a girl, she is a bit considered to be underweight. Her height manages to gain a balanced ratio of at least 80 lbs when normal, but anything lover than that is very strange and unusual. So in summary, it's not okay for her to be this weight, maybe she could be anorexic, or have other eating disorders, but the customary weight she should be is between 85 - 90 lbs for her height and age.

Scared I will gain weight back after diet?

I have been dieting lately and lost more than like 15 pounds in 2 1/2 months. I did it by eating healthy foods constantly and working out everyday. If I once in a while eat a box of panda express or maybe some subway will it be okay. I need some reassurance that everything will be okay if I eat a little unhealthy or outside food once in a while.

How can a 13 year old lose weight? Is it safe to lose weight while growing up?

First of all, you need to consider if you really need to lose weight. If you’re 6′3″, you don’t - your BMI would show that you’re underweight. If you’re 4′10,” you should lose a little, but you’re not that unhealthy.-If you do need to lose weight: do not stop eating.Don’t even think about looking at that dumbass “thinspo” on Tumblr and Pinterest and Twitter. It won’t work.Eat healthier. For instance, have fruit as a snack instead of a candy bar. But it’s okay to slip up. In fact, write it into your days. Each day, you can have a little bit of unhealthy stuff.Start exercising. If your parents will be concerned if you just start running, start by telling them you’re going to take a walk. Time yourself. Try to go the same distance and get home sooner every day. If your parents will let you, go to a gym. Sign up for sports at school, if that’s your thing.Stay hydrated.Sleep well.-Don’t focus too much on your weight. Trust me on this. I know it makes you feel bad, but you’re 13. You’ll grow more. For now? Live, learn, and become who you are on the inside.

Why do I still look fat with normal weight and body fat percentage?

A number of reasons. At a certain point, “looking fat” is a subjective assessment of the situation. This guy is about 18% body fat, maybe a little bit more. He’s not fat, but he’s not fat. He could find ways to look at himself to say that he’s fat, though.18% isn’t that trim. See above. What matters a lot when it comes to the view of whether or not you’re fat is where you wear the fat, and how muscular you are. Here’s a guy that’s 18% body fat, but he’s heavily muscled. His fat is fairly evenly distributed around his body so that he doesn’t really look fat.Me? I’m about 18% body fat, but nearly all of it is in my love handles area. My forearms and calves have nearly no fat on them and are heavily vascularHere’s a picture of my hand, very vascular, and no fat.If you look at me from the right angle, you might think I was fat. If you looked at me from above my belly button, you’d think I was ripped. My advice is to exercise to build up muscle. It won’t get rid of the fat necessarily, but it’ll provide you a nicer shape, plus it’s great for you.If you’re not losing fat anymore, you’re not on an energy deficit. Your caloric needs change over time. To continue to lose fat, you have to continue to eat less, or figure out a way to increase your metabolism (lift weights!).
