Is My Wrist Simply Just Bruised Or Worse

Repetitive wrist movements cause bruising?

I have been crocheting a lot over the past week or so, and a couple of days ago, I noticed a bruise on the under side (the veiny part) of my right wrist. I'm just wondering if the repetitive wrist movement involved with crochet can cause the veins to break or something else that can cause a bruise to form? Because I haven't hit it, or done anything else that will make me bruise. Thank you!

Girlfriend has what kinda of looks like a bruise on wrist?

My girlfriend has what kinda of looks like bruise on her wrist.

She very much likes to drink alcohol. But this seems to only happen when she has these big party with with friends. And the next day or 2 days she than gets these what kinda of looks like bruise on her wrist , After hard night of a partying.

Could this be alcohol or drug use? She use to do lot of drugs before but does not any more do to she has no job and not in school .If she is having a hard night of partying like mad could this be taking some kind of drug use that is causing this or the alcohol or alcohol and drug.

Anyone else here have this problem ? Could it be she is consuming too much alcohol thus a body reaction. Or could be she taking some night club drug ?

Weird bruises after using crutches?

I broke my ankle and was on crutches for like 3 months....So I know what this is! :) its just that the crutches are rubbing your armpits and making them sore...it's nothing big...eventually you will get used to them or what i did was got some duct tape and taped some like hand towels and wrapped them around that part so it helps to cut down on the pain.

It should help. Don't not use the crutches you need to stay off your ankle.

Hope it gets better! :)

How do I speed up the healing of bruised arms from missing the veins trying to inject?

Applying heat will help the painful bump that appears immediately when you miss, to “dissolve” quickly. Arnica oil/gel works beautifully. Massage into the area as soon as possible and repeat as often as possible. Another fantastic (and cheap) remedy is castor oil. Just a drop or two is necessary, massage into the area for two minutes, at least 3 times a day. For best results, warm a little bit of castor oil by placing it in a glass bowl, which you then place in a bigger bowl filled with hot water (NOT boiling, as this will lead to burning) soak a cotton ball in the castor oil and place it on the affected area, cover with plastic wrap and then wrap a bandage or cloth around it. To keep it warm, you can also place a hot water bottle or heating pad over the bandage. Keep it like this for 20 minutes. Allowing the area a few minutes of direct sunlight also speeds of healing and eliminates the bruise faster. Fresh lemon juice massaged into the spot also clears bruising quickly. The key is to massage any or all of these products into the area as often as possible. Massage breaks down the clots of blood that collect under the skin and forms the bruise.

What cause bruises to itch? Is it bad to scratch them?

From what I’ve read there are three main factors at work with regards to bruises itching: injury to the nerve endings, damage to capillaries and other small blood vessels, and the breakdown of blood within the tissues. Most bruises are caused by impact injuries. During the impact tissues, including nerve endings are compressed. There is also an accompanying swelling. Between the compression and swelling nerve endings have experienced trauma. As the swelling goes down and the healing process proceeds, the nerve endings begin to function normally. That return of full sensation accounts for some of the itch.Along with the nerve endings being affected, blood vessels suffer crush injury. This results in bleeding within the skin/muscle tissue. As that blood breaks down, we not only witness changes to the coloration of the tissues, but that breakdown releases histamines. Part of that is because as the blood breaks down, bilirubin is released (it is a component of blood). Bilirubin is known to trigger itching in some people. Also the damaged capillaries and small blood vessels are healing. Sometimes they simply regrow along different pathways. This is another source of itching.Basically the itching is part of the overall healing process. You should not scratch the area. Scratching can cause further damage, leaving excoriation wounds that are potential sources for infection.Oddly enough I’ve had countless bruises in my life, some of them severe. Yet none of them itched when healing until the past couple of years. Maybe I’m just getting more delicate in my old age?

Big bruise on my arm?

I was playing volleyball with my older sister (lol, I'm a girl, sorry about my fake name); she's teaching me to get me ready for high school. And we were bumping a lot and practicing hitting but I kept messing up and hitting with my wrist instead of my hand. Anyways, I looked down and noticed that part of my wrist was swelling. I've always had these veins that showed prominently, and then realized that the part of the vein on my wrist looked like it was swelling up and after a while we stopped and I put ice on it cuz it was kind of scaring me. It's the next day and there's a big bruise there and I feel like the bruise is getting bigger but it could really just be me being paranoid (good chance of that), but is there any possibility I did something that needs to be checked?

How long can it take for IV bruising to heal?

I had brain surgery last Tuesday to remove a tumor, relatively painless after a couple days since your head heals pretty fast, but the two IVs that were put in my right hand and wrist have had some pretty bad bruising with aching all the way up my arm and chest. Is this something that i should be concerned about and how long can it take to heal? The pain is usually worse in the morning when i wake up.

I got a bruise from playing Volleyball.?

if you just started, then it will be like that. but once you practice more and get used to it, they won't be as bad. yeah, i know after those bruises then you probably don't wanna do it anymore, but trust me, it gets better. don't hit the ball so hard as well. like my friend ( micheal) was playing with the volleyball at lunch/recess( no i'm not eight), and he made the ball flat from hitting it as hard as possible. and then his hands were this awkward red color. so take it easy. i experienced this. it will become easier. trust me. and ice it as wel if that helps
hope i helped=]
