Is Not Being Hungry Normal

Is it normal not to get hungry all day?

As a rule, if what you're asking is "is it normal not to get hungry at all during the time between you get up and when you go to bed", I would say, No, assuming that this means you're not eating either.Hunger tends to vary for several reasons, one of them being hormonal fluctuations, another the amount of energy you've expended. Also, if you're not feeling well, or you're depressed, this often suppresses your appetite. They used to think that cancer made you lose weight, for example, until a study showed that it was just that people who feel very unwell don't eat much.Having said all this - and so long as you're reasonably healthy and have no reason to visit a doctor apart from your concern about your appetite - it's important to eat regularly even if you don't feel hungry. Your body needs lots of nutrients, not just the protein/carbs/fat that give you calories (and, yes, fat is a necessary part of your diet, as there are nutrients that can't be obtained any other way, for example, vitamin E). Although you can take supplements, you should also be eating a good varied diet with plenty of fibre to keep your organs healthy. That doesn't mean you have to eat a lot. But you should eat a small meal two or three times a day.If you've been dieting for a long time, believing the propaganda that is part of everyday life for us women nowadays, then your appetite may have dropped away because you are heading towards an eating disorder. If this is the case, then whatever your other health concerns may or may not be, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible, giving them the information they need to give you good advice - and take that advice on board.

I'm sick and not hungry... Is it normal?

I mean... I'm not like hungry or anything... I don't have an eating disorder I just haven't been hungry all day and I just noticed that I haven't eaten all day... I've been throwing up all last night (like 7 or 8 times) and now I'm worried that if I eat something I'll just throw up again... Is it normal not to be hungry if you're sick? Thanks! ^-^

Is it normal not being hungry after a break up?

This might be a silly question, but I seriously haven't been hungry for 4 days.
I just got out of a 2 1/2 year relationship, since then I'm not hungry. When I try to eat I get sick, literally vomiting. Sad to say the only thing I've been able to keep down is alcohol that's about all I have besides a small bag of cheetos that I did throw up. Anyways is that normal?

I feel sick when I'm hungry, is this normal?

While I can't say whether it's normal for everybody, since spontaneous nausea was probably my first symptom of MS, I know that when I get hungry I will sometimes even reach the point of dry heaving or throwing up stomach acids. If I do eat but have waited too long into the nausea period, I will sometimes immediately throw back up what I have eaten. I spent an entire semester in college throwing up almost every morning because I had an 8 a.m. class and am so utterly not a morning person I never managed to get breakfast before class. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but I think it has something to do with low blood sugar, as I am less inclined to throw up what I manage to eat if it is something with quickly absorbable sugars. Once I figured this out, I started keeping candies around to eat before eating my actual meal when my stomach is that upset. Peppermint or candied ginger are particularly effective, and the ginger soothes the nausea by being ginger and sugar. While this answer may not hold true for everyone, these are what I've found to be the case for me. Hope out helps you!

Is it normal for lack of sleep to make me not hungry all day?

This does not match what I consider normal. It sounds as though something is making you ill, and one part of the illness is not being able to sleep. There could be issues with blood sugar or dehydration or many other things. I would see my doctor if I had these symptoms.

Normal to not be hungry while on a keto diet?

I began a keto diet roughly two weeks ago and I've noticed that I'm going longer and longer between wanting to eat meals. Yesterday all I had the entire day was two hard boiled eggs, and yet I wasn't hungry today until nearly 7 pm.

It makes me feel like I'm probably not getting nearly enough calories or nutrition if I'm barely eating at all.

Is it normal that I don't feel hungry after a workout?

It is definately not abnormal. Most of the time, working out will curb your apetite for a couple of hours. You've just worked out, possibly quite hard and your body needs time to recover before it wants to use more energy digesting food. Working out before hand is not a good idea because in order to adequately digest your food, you need to be resting. Not feeling hungry afterwards is normal. Just because you have burnt a lot of energy doesn't necessarily mean your body immediately needs refueling. Starting to feel hungry in the evening is normal and even good. Eating then is a good time. People often use excersise as a method of curbing snack cravings and hunger.

Is it normal for my boyfriend to not be hungry around me?

Whenever we go out on a date, he would never be able to finish half of his food saying that he is "full". Even if he was on an empty stomach beforehand. Around his friends, he eats so much more! It makes me feel guilty about eating more than him, so I try to limit myself. Anyway... Is this normal?
