Is Obama Responsible For Making Racists More Racist

Obama made me a racist. For how long will I stay a racist after Obama leaves office.?

Did Obama make me into a forever racist? Or will I get better over time? If Obama made me into a forever racist should I just join the Klan or a militia or something?

Is racism the main reason for obama hatred in the US? Is it veiled using immigration as an excuse?

I would like to say in a huge loud voice NO.  Unfortunately,  there are quite a few people who will never give him a fair chance because of the color of his skin.  We all know THAT guy.  However,  and this is really important.  Most of the people that I know (and being from SE Louisiana a majority of people I know are very conservative)  do not like President Obama because of his beliefs,  and how he gets things done. His stance on the middle east has made us look very weak. He forced Obamacare on the US which had a lot more to do with getting more government controlcontrol,  then it did about Healthcare. His stance on drilling has really hurt the oil producing states. The regulations from Obamacare have made it a lot harder to find a good full time job.  The use of government programs (ie food stamps)  have taken a sharp rise since he took office.  His use of the pen to change law when we the people elected a conservative majority Congress,  seems like a power play. When hehe was running for office there was a perception of how much he likes a larger federal government.  He hasn't changes that. Some of these are perceptions,  but this is a short list.  I could have added many more,  but as you can see I don't see racism on here at all.

Racist Rednects Shoot bear then put obama on it?

I do believe it was a couple of college students who took a prank to far.

Would Obama becoming President have brought out racism in some Americans, and if so, why?

The Obama presidency led to the current spate of racism in the same way that the election of Lincoln led to the civil war. In the case of Obama, people who had little or no contact with black people, suddenly had a black president in their faces. The status quo they knew, where old white men with whom they could identify were in charge, was turned on it's head. What made it worse was Obama's competence, intelligence, class and calm. His performance is nearly impossible to fault, though I feel he was too conservative. The closet racists, many of whom still won't admit their racism, came out of the closet. They felt betrayed and declared that he wasn't their president. They invalidated the election in their own minds with birther claims. It’s was all part of a giant conspiracy to marginalize the honest white working class. They refused to acknowledge a single one of his many accomplishments. That he was the best president in modern history was salt in the wound. In Trump, they elected the worst president in modern history because he supported and still supports their racism. Fortunately, these hate groups are widely spread out across the entire country, especially in the heavily segregated northern states, so there will not be any sort of civil war. Thank God, for desegregation and forced busing in the south. It made a difference. There are now more organized hate groups in Michigan than in Mississippi. Many white southern families have black family members who are loved. The best way to fight this hatred is to desegregate the north and west. As in the south, it will take 50 years or longer, but eventally, we will all be just folks.

Did the Obama administration make race relations better or worse?

Barack Obama is the Jackie Robinson of American politics. Let me explain.Back in the day, when America was great and racism was in your face to the point where whites could kill blacks with impunity—they didn’t have to claim the black was running away after committing a crime, just looking at a white girl was enough of a crime to merit lynching—there was a great baseball player in the Negro leagues whose name was Jackie Robinson. Robinson was already 28 when he became a rookie on the Brooklyn Dodgers.Like Barack Obama, Robinson was a great player but even more importantly, he had a mild disposition. His manager warned him that all the white racists in every stadium in the country would harass him, throw things at him, insult him with racist slurs. They used to wait at the exits at the ends of games so they could do that. But his manager told him never to answer back, just smile and pretend nothing was wrong. Robinson did that. He also played for 10 years, was voted mvp one year and competed in 6 world series. After Robinson, black players became normal in Major League baseball. The idea that blacks could not compete with whites vanished completely. When Obama won the presidency, the same scenario began to play out again. People who should have been on his side refused to give him any credit for his excellent performance in office. I guess at first you could claim that Jackie Robinson made racism worse, but eventually it became clear that he made it better. The same is going to happen in America. There will be more black presidents who will be judged on their merits instead of on the color of their skin. In the short term, Obama’s election made racism worse because racists could no longer claim they weren’t biased, so they came out of the closet, so to speak, and let everyone know they were racist. But in the long term, Obama will be viewed as one of our better presidents and the only one so far who had to endure racism just to do the job. Let’s hope the next black president will be treated with more respect by the public and other politicians.

Thoughts on Michelle Obama - does she embrace racism?

No. She's not a racist but you sound like you are. The Obama's work with a lot of white people. So they aren't races. What's the point to your question? It seem like you have already condemn her and thinks she is a racist. People on the right are prejudice against the Obama's because they are black. I would be bitter and angry too if I was treated less than human, like a criminal and second class citizen. They the way African American are treated in America. During the DNC, she gave a speech and clearly stated. She loves America. We all have our prejudices. Look at the racist answers on here. What say you about that shtt? Why keep rehashing the same ole topic over and over again? Why can't you guys move on with your life? People say Bush don't like black people. He was still our president. How many times are you cons going to keep posting the same questions over and over? I agree with Jon, you want to get racist answers and keep dividing the races especially between black and white. Don't you get tired of hating? We been through all of this for the last two years. It's over and time to move on with your life. You lost. People around the word love the Obama's. They just getting harass by conservatives. So when you fellow right wingers use racial slurs, racial jokes, apes, gorilla, chimp, bamboo jokes and hate speech. Will you speak out on that? @~
