Let me start off by saying that just because I think a President is cool doesn't necessarily mean that I think they were good.The obvious answer would be Kennedy. He was good looking, smooth talking, and was a party animal.Andrew Jackson once almost beat his would-be assassin to death with a cane. He threatened to decapitate his vice president because of his support for South Carolina, which was not complying with federal law. On his death bed, Jackson said that his two biggest regrets were that he didn't shoot Henry Clay and he didn't hang John Calhoun. Not to mention, Jackson killed dozens of people in duels, and was a war hero.Teddy Roosevelt was athletic and energetic. Plus, he looked like this.That should be enough, right?
Why was ex- President Obama trying to become the coolest President as he neared the end of his tenure?
No Not at all….We have been experiencing his 8yr presidential term. We have seen many incidents when world witnessed heightened tensions whether it is between1. US- Russia over Ukraine issue, Middle east, Syria crisis etc. Obama kept his cool and wouldn’t allow to tensions to escalate into conflicts. Rather he emphasised on bilateral talks is only solution to reduce tensions. In retaliation US and EU slapped economic sanctions against Russia.2. US-Iran over nuclear deal which allows Iran’s nuclear program under UN terms. In this situation also world witnessed many countries divided in 2 groups. US backed Saudi Arabia, Israel and Russia backed Iran, Syria, Yemen etc.. Obama leadership underwent tough phase here with hard negotiating with Iranian diplomats to settle for Nuclear Deal rather escalating to armed conflicts.3. US-China over South china Sea, devaluation. Till today both the nations stressed on dialogue rather than military standoff in south china sea. Since Chinese aggressiveness is increasing day by day, US in retaliation stressed on “ ASIA PIVOT” policy allowing to deploy 60% of its Navy into pacific ocean to contain(restrict) Chinese activities also formimg alliances with japan, phillipins, taiwan, singapoore, etc.4. US-North Korea over North korea’s undeterred nuclear programme violating UN norms. US has stationed 28000 troops in South korea and recently announced to place THAAD ( Terminal High Altitude for Areal Defence ) to meet any aggression from North.These are some of world scenario’s where US is deeply involved and the way Barack Obama handled these situations are laudable but in most of cases US has settled on hostile ( enemy) countries terms. Hence He is being called a weak president.. But Coolest President America has ever seen !

Well, that depends on the defenition of "cool".If you are determining cool by his accomplishments as president, no one can best Teddy Roosevelt. Broke up the trusts, kickstarted the Panama Canal, resolved the Russo-Japaneese War (which won him a Nobel Prize), fought in the Spanish-American War (winning him a posthumous Meadal of Honor in 2013), professional in the wilderness, there was nothing he could not do.Now, if coolness is determined by hobbies, then it can be Bill Clinton with the sax or Obama's baller skills.

I would have to say President Obama.Bill Clinton was/is an exceptionally charismatic person. There have been stories told about him that said even in a crowd of thousands the man could make you feel like you were the ONLY one he was talking to. That's spectacular!Bill Clinton is extremely likable. Even after the Monica scandal in 1998, MILLIONS of people still stuck by his side. He was called the First Black President because of his strong connection and ties with the black community. His story seemed like the "average" person of color's story.President Obama, however, is one of a kind in his charisma. The man is one of the greatest speech givers in Presidential history. He can command the attention of a guy with ADHD. President Obama is also able to give speeches on race (as rare as they are) without coming across as only catering to black people.He was a relatively unknown senator from Illinois during 2008 and won the hearts and minds over the spouse of one of the greatest President's of the 20th century in the form of Hillary Clinton.President Obama did this all with a Muslim in origin middle name during the middle of Islamphobia. Just look at his resume before the Presidency: rancher, Police Commissioner of New York City, Assistant Secretary of the Navy as the Navy prepared for war with Spain, led the Rough Riders during the Spanish-American War, Governor of New York, and Vice-President. That alone would be considered unbelievable if he was a character in a novel. And then he goes onto become President, and a well remembered President at that, enough to be on Mount Rushmore. On business issues, a progressive, arguably even by today's standards, an environmentalist, to use a modern term, though many of today's environmentalists wouldn't care for the fact he wanted to preserve nature so he could go shoot things, founded the Progressive Party, also known by what's probably the best name ever for a political party, the "Bull Moose" Party, and so damn tough he could be shot in the chest, and then give a speech before going to the hospital. (The papers for the speech and his eyeglass case absorbed much of the impact, but he was still wounded.)Second Choice: Thomas Jefferson. Wrote the Declaration of Independence, great believer in freedom, incredibly devoted to separation of church and state, held religious ideas that would be considered controversial in a major politician even today, an inventor, and probably only outdone by Washington as a President who influenced the direction of early America. Quite possibly the smartest man ever to be President -- supposedly, JFK hosted a dinner for American Nobel laureates at the White House, and remarked, "This is perhaps the assembly of the most intelligence ever to gather at one time in the White House, with the exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.” Oh, and if we think Bill Clinton defined Presidential sex scandal, forget it. It's debated whether its true, and it was secret if it was, but Jefferson may have had a child with one of his slaves, Sally Hemings. However, unlike many slave owning men who just used slave women for sex, Jefferson may have actually loved Hemings, and would have married her is if it possible. All of our Presidents are "cool" to one degree or another, but Tom and Teddy are off the scale.

JFK was a pretty cool president for a lot of reasons but I never heard of him being short on money. You do realized the Kennedy family is very wealthy, don't you. He inspired a lot of young people to become interested in government and serving our nation in the Peace Corp. To the person below calling Kennedy a pill popper: JFK had a serious disease and the pills were part of his treatment. He wasn't "popping pills" to get high. Rent the movie JFK sometime.
