How much do you make as an Olive Garden busser?

I’ve worked at Olive Garden as a busser for roughly 14 months now, and I can tell you that you will average roughly $13–$14 an hour. You get a $5 base hourly pay + 30–80 dollars in tipshare. Chances are you will make friends at your job and be directly tipped by servers, the extra tips will often bring your hourly wage as high as $15-$18 depending on the night/ hours worked. Glad I have this job and would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent paying job.EDIT: After 3 years of bussing, I still say average wage was roughly $13 an hour. It should be noted that not all locations will have the same average hourly wage. For reference, I worked at a fairly busy UT location.—————————————————————————————————————ALTERNATIVES: (My location as reference)If you are social enough and 21 or older : Server pay will be significantly better than bussing ($15/hour summer?-$22ish/hour winter). Server hourly wage is incredibly volatile but will always pay well in the winter. Server work is much less strenuous as well. If you work a double shift (roughly 10 hours) it’s not crazy to walk away with more than $180/day. If you want to make more money as a server, work at more expensive restaurants. If you are social enough and younger than 21 : TOGO specialists make $16–$17/hour average and also have easier work. They can get up to $20/hour during busy times. Work includes taking orders, ringing up the food, putting it in bags, and giving the bag to the customer.

I got caught scratching my balls at Olive Garden the other day and was thrown out, can I sue?

So, I drove to Olive Garden I went inside. I was waiting in line when I got a real itch and I needed a good ball adjustment anyway, so I jammed my hand in my pants and was giving them a real good scratch for about a minute or two when some old hag said I was disgusting. Well excuuuuuuuuuse me, *****. I realized that I was a mess - I was still wearing the clothes I had on the night before when I was at the bar with all my girls and I'm sure I smelled like the inside of a beer can, but I never told her that she had a face that would scare buzzards off a gut truck. Well, as a matter of fact I DID tell her that and she decided to be a snitch and told the manager what I said. The manager told me to leave or he would call the cops immediately. I made a run for my truck. I tried to do a burn-out in the parking lot but my dang ole truck just stalled out and then wouldn't start so I had the entrance for 20 minutes and man, was he pissed off!!!

Can I sue him for this?

Go to Olive Gardens and never say stop when they're giving you cheese?

I have been tempted to do this but not as a prank but for real... I LOVE cheese on my food. It's almost like some people use ketchup!

Olive Garden (not plural) is a great restaurant chain here in the USA, and I have never... NEVER been disappointed by ANY of their dishes. I LOVE Olive Garden, am addicted to it, and recommend it highly to everyone.

Oh, and whoever is in charge of hiring the male wait staff and bus boys had good taste in "eye candy!" WHOO HOO!

Have a polite day.
Etiquette takes over where laws end.

What is it like celebrating a birthday at Olive Garden?

I've celebrated many a birthday at Olive Garden. And it's really not anything super duper special, but it is nice. They do come to your table to sing and sometimes your family or friends can get a mini chocolate birthday cake sent out along with the birthday singing.I once served at Olive Garden for an evening (as I was usually bartending) because we were short on waitstaff and I had to sing happy birthday to my table by myself. It was absolutely awful, but the guy felt so sorry for me that he left me $35 tip on $50 tab. It was only the two of them. Good times!!

Do you get hired on the 2nd interview for Olive Garden?

I had my 2nd interview today with the General Manager. The first interview went really well and i thought i would get the job at the 2nd one. Well the GM was really intimidating and the interview was seriously less than 5 mins long, He said they were in the week of interviews and would give me a call if they found something that worked for me, Anyway im wondering if he was just telling me that, or do they really call. Also any more tips i will appreciate :)

I got caught scratching my balls and butt hole at Olive Garden and got kicked out, what do I do?

So, I went to Olive Garden the other day. That place was PACKED. I was sitting down in a waiting booth area waiting to be seated. There were tons of people in the waiting area. All of a sudden, I got a terrible and irresistible itch on my balls and my @$$hole. I would've gone to the restroom to scratch them, but it was packed in there too and I didn't want to miss it if I got called up to be seated.

So, I jammed both of my hands in my pants and was giving both itchy spots a real good scratch when some old hag said I was disgusting. Well excuuuuuuuuuussse me, *****. I realized that I was a mess (I was still wearing the clothes I had on the night before when I was at the bar with my girls, and I'm sure that I smelled like the inside of a thousand beer cans), but its not like I ever told her that she had a face that would scare buzzards off a gut truck. WELL, as a matter of fact I DID tell her that. She went up to the manager and told him what I said. He told me to get the hell out of his restaurant or he would call the cops.

I stormed out of the restaurant and went to my truck, still scratching my @$$hole and balls. I tried to do a burn-out in the parking lot to vent my frustration, but my dang ole truck just stalled out and then wouldn't start again so I had the entrance blocked for over 30 minutes and man was he pissed-off!!! The tow truck eventually came and took my truck to the repair shop. The manager took me home and told me if I was smart, I would keep my mouth shut, keep my hands out of my pants, and never go out in public again.

What do I do?

Is it weird to get your boyfriend a gift card to Olive Garden for Valentine’s day?

I am no expert and this is kind of out of my knowledge but why wouldn’t you just take him out on a date to Olive Garden. Wouldn’t that be more romantic and a more traditional activity for you. I don’t think it would be wierd but I do think that just taking him there would be a lot more memorable.

Why do I get diarrhea once each time I go to Olive Garden?

Sounds like the alfredo sauce may be too rich for you. I make a tasty alfredo sauce, but unfortunately the amount of butter, cream, and cheese can sometimes have people running for the bathroom if their system isn't used to it…yet they always come back for seconds. From Olive Garden’s recipe, here are the ingredients to their sauce:3 oz wt butter1 TBSP Garlic2 TBSP All Purpose Flour1 1/2 cup milk1 1/2 cup heavy cream1/2 cup imported Parmesan cheese, grated1/2 cup imported Romano cheese, gratedSalt and black pepper to tasteOlive Garden Italian RestaurantYou may want to try a lighter sauce next time, or perhaps a different type of dish altogether. You may also simply be lactose intolerant to some degree, which is set off by both the sauce and the ranch dressing on your salad, overload style. There are pills you can take 30 or so minutes before indulging, which will help mitigate the issue if that is indeed the problem. Worth a shot at least.
