Is Painting A House Illegal

Is it true that it's illegal to paint a house black?

My brother always lies to me, and he said that it's illegal to paint a house black. then i said you're lying, but he asked me if i've ever seen a black house. So i just want to know if it's true,

Is it illegal to paint your car at home?

common sense dictates that there are some fumes associated with painting a car that can be objectionable to some people. That said as long as you are not running an underground body and paint shop out of your garage every day and a steady stream of cars all around the house that change colors frequently, no one is likely to complain. There are portable paint booths too.
I have painted muscle cars in garages. It is helpfull if it is not some 100 year old relic open to the air for the last 40 years. beyond that it helps to have either a really good painter who can lay down paint using extra hardener so the paint cures fast (minimizes bugs, and spiders and dust bunnies from getting stuck in the paint later)
Or s a heavy tarp and make a private booth at least partially enclosing the sides and roof from critters. The paint comes out awsome as good as the person laying down paint. And dont advertise a sign that says "I painted this in my garage" you should have no trouble

Is it illegal to spray paint your car outside your house?

Laws vary from place to place. But generaly you can spray , but you are responsible for any overspray that drifts over to your neighbours. And it will. (especially if he is a grumpy one)

Is it illegal to spary paint my car?

No, unless your city has some kind of insane ordinance, it is not illegal to spray paint our own car. However, some kinds of professional grade auto paints may be illegal. A good rule of thumb is that, if you don't need a license, it is legal. Many do-it-yourselfers will do some spray painting on their own cars. It just sounds like your neighbor is trying to get you in trouble (jealous of the car maybe?)

Also, about the mufflers: Your neighbor may have some grounds to complain there. Although you can run a car without muffles as long as you are not on the public roads, you may violate local noise ordinances. The sound levels are different for each community. A good rule of thumb there is that, if you can hear it from one side of you property to the other (stand on the sidewalk in front of your house and listen) it may be too loud. If you can hear it a block away, it is defiantly too loud. However, as long as you aren't starting it up in the middle of the night or early in the morning (basically if the sky is dark), no cop will write you up.

Can I paint my curb legally?

As with similar crimes, like cutting the grass of your neighbor's front lawn or eating a burrito without guacamole, people just don't care. Generally speaking, laws are enforced when lawbreakers endanger, annoy, inconvene or otherwise overstep the boundaries of, their fellow citizens. I think it's safe to say that nobody would think to have an issue with you painting your curb. In Denmark, in some areas at least, one is required to shovel snow and leaves off the curb in front of ones house when necessary, to prevent people from slipping and hurting themselves. One can get fined for not doing it. To me, that's an indicator that you might be legally in the clear, although national law differs, and I'm not even all that sure about the Danish one. All of the above is based on "painting" meaning "restoring", if you paint your curb bright purple I think you might be in trouble. Best wishes, and good luck in your painting endeavours.

Is it illegal to paint nails for money?

Ummm technically it is, because you're not getting any tax taken out of your income and such, but it's not a big deal. Hell, baby sitting is illegal too if you don't work for an actual baby sitting company.

I would be careful though. If you use tools to clean people's cuticles and re-use emeryboards and don't properly disinfect them, you could spread infections. What will really suck is if the person you worked on decides to sue you. It's an extreme case, but I thought I'd just let you know it COULD happen.
