Is Obama one of the 5 smartest American presidents?
Sure, Obama’s a smart guy. But he suffers from the malady often met with in intelligent people: intellectual vanity. By that I mean that he overrates the practical value of his own intelligence. As he himself put it in 2008: “I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m going to think I’m a better political director than my political director.” This to his newly appointed political director, incidentally. In retrospect it’s easy to perceive in this remark the hubris that did Obama in.Intelligent people tend to oversimplify problems that lie outside their area of expertise. This is why scientists, for example, are capable of saying some surpassingly stupid things about politics, economics, etc. Yes, of course, they’re very good at processing and integrating such information as comes to hand. What they often fail to realize is that the available information usually only presents a crude caricature of reality. For example, the solution to the long-running conflict between the Jews and the Palestinian Arabs seems simple enough: land for peace, in the shorthand of the so-called peace process. But somehow the logic of that makes no impression on the contending parties. The simple, logical solution, so obvious to a person of high intelligence (like Barack Obama) takes no account of history: the long-accumulating mutual hatreds, the ambitions and fears, the conflicting world-views of the contending parties, etc., etc. But Obama can’t see that. Why won’t people just be reasonable and do things his way?Napoleon had an expression for the type of general who filters reality through his preconceptions: “making a picture.” Having convinced himself that the enemy will act in a certain manner, the general is impervious to evidence that the enemy is doing something else. His analysis trumps reality. Intelligent people do this all the time. It may seem paradoxical, but sometimes a high IQ blinds one to reality. This is what George Orwell meant when he remarked that “There are some ideas so absurd that only an intellectual could believe them.” Barack Obama is that kind of president.
Is President Obama a nut?
President Obama is an extremely smart and intelligent (not quite the same thing) man who is doing an excellent best in a difficult position. He has encountered intense resistance, partly race-based, from day 1, and has had to find ways to get important work done in the face of incredible opposition. There are times, like Arctic drilling, when he has had to compromise with interests that I wish he wouldn't, since there is definite potential for harm and a whole sea (pun intended) of unintended consequences likely. The BP oil spill has not given us confidence that assertions from big oil are trustworthy, and previous problems in the Arctic show it is a difficult area.I find the suggestion he is dumb to be similar to something we call a "dog whistle"; that is, racism in disguise. It is surprising how many people think Black people are dumb by nature. You might enjoy this:The full speech was excellent, but time beckons ...

Why USA not have Asian president?
Why black, not Asian? Black not smart. Asian smart. China, Japan, and Korea successful nations. Africa has not any successful nation. Asian better. Why Americans pick black man a president? We Asians never do that.
Simple question : How do you think a man like President Obama rejects women?
If someone is brazen enough to insinuate or make a proposal toward the President? That might be met with some surprise! President Obama is one very smart man who would probably not be taken too aback by such a thing. Likewise, he would turn that person down with as much ease and sophistication.
Who is smarter between Obama and Bill Clinton?
Intelligence is relative. One might excel in one subject and be mediocre at anything else. I used to think intelligence was being knowledgeable as somewhat the dictionary describes it but I grew up to realize that it really is to be able to manage adversity while dealing with concrete issues affecting other lives. It could be your child, a parent, a nurse dealing with a patient, a CEO managing his team or a president for his nation.I used to think politicians were intelligent until I realize the little they really accomplish living off tax payers dollar, having free healthcare they deny their own electorate, I wonder where are their fathers or grandparents, the first who landed their feet on the US soil so they can now enjoy the benefit of being American. To come back your question, I will say they both governed in two separate era of the American society. Both accomplished good and bad things but I trully believe not to be buyist by race that the challenges Obama faced was unprecedented, being the first black president, he had not only to prove that he was a human being to half of the nation that we now realize with current events were racist, scared to death of the idea that a minority can lead but also the worst depression in modern history. You add to it the impact of technology which opened the door to even more scrutiny and intrusion into people wanting to know more about the actions of America abroad and in the mainland.Obama managed despite growing the debt to numbers my mind still cant rap itself around to change healthcare as we know it, rebound the economy and give America the sense of respect lost among the rest of the world due to the arrogance of some. When I look at the current events, I know history will give even more credit to Obama for his work but also his decency and compassion to others. Might have not being in actions but words matters.A presidency without major scandals if I can put it that way. Nights were peaceful even if the rhetoric was the same as each who sworn to protect and defend the constitution operates.LetsGo2 to your next destinationLAX transportation & City tours
Michelle Obama Comments: How can this person be called smart?
Has anyone read the follow: "First Lady Michelle Obama admitted in an interview with CNN that going into campaign 2012, the Obama family has help from the media. First Lady Michelle Obama: "When it comes to the campaign we're ready to work hard. We did it before and we'll do it again, so we're rolling up our sleeves and getting on with it." CNN reporter: "How's the family ready for this [the election]? It's going to be quite vicious, isn't it? How do you prepare for that?" First Lady Michelle Obama: "You know, it's … we're ready, you know. Our children, you know, could care less about what we're doing. We work hard to do that. Fortunately, we have help from the media. I have to say this: I'm very grateful for the support and kindness that we've gotten. People have respected their privacy and in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband's policies or what have you, they care about children and that's been good to see." "You know" the media calls here high educated, " you know" and "you know" she is a friend of Oprah so you know she's OMG 'smart" Sadly,. she is correct in that "...we have help from the media." Since the "respected" media has been lionizing and fawning over this family since he came into the Senate for 145 days. Has a single journalist ever investigated this family any deeper than the nanometer level?
