Could Sri Lanka be considered an above average minnow again?
That's a harsh comment upon the Lankans. If you had called them chokers, I'd have agreed with you because they've been losing many finals for quite a long time now. Though they were bundled out for a low score today, they were the real threat for us in the semi finals. Murali is one of the legends of cricket. Never seen you criticizing Warnie for his off field an on field behaviors. But yes, I agree with you in Australia's chances in the previous game. As for Lion, every fan defends his country, that's what fans are and that's what you're. Just because a fan criticizes his own country doesn't mean he is s good user and the only unbiased one. Its been proved that India are not that bad; still you see some Aussies never appreciate Indian team but you don't seem to say a word against them. But I don't blame you. Mentality. Mate. Mentality.
Why oh why there is no World-Cup of test Cricket?
not a World cup but a WORLD TEST CRICKET LEAGUE would be a more realistic idea. It would comprise 8 Test playing nations (The Test status of Zimbabwe & Bangladesh would be permanently revoked i.e 8 Test nations remain). Annually, each WTCL nation would play just one Test against each other nation of the WTCL round-robin. That would be 7 matches-per-team-per-year. Each team would play some of their matches at home and some away. When I say "year" I mean inside a calendar-year. The following calendar year, the reverse legs are played (i.e last year's away matches become this year's home matches and vice-versa). These two calendar years would constitute A SINGLE WTCL SEASON. Points would be awarded for wins and draws + bonus points would also be awarded. In other words it would work similar to most domestic first-class cricket championship except that each championship stretches over two years. Also there will be no Finals match. It is entirely a round-robin format. (the above is not my original idea but i've read somewhere)
