Can girls audit Big Hit Entertainment?

As of now, BigHit Entertainment does not accept female trainees. There are three reasons why this could be:Bang Shihyuk is still upset/embarrassed over Glam, and does not want the next girl group he debuts (if he ever forms another) to repeat their mistake and tarnish the company’s name more than Dahee’s blackmail scandal did back in 2013–14. Glam were pretty popular back in the day and this scandal absolutely ruined them. They had loads of potential, but Dahee just had to go and ruin it. Even with how long it’s been, in fact Dahee was just released from prison about a year or two ago, you still never hear about her anymore. She’s ashamed of herself and her actions, and that same shame could be passed on to any other girl group that makes a mistake under their company. They don’t accept female trainees in order to protect BTS. If females were accepted for audition, think about how many girls would be lining up at the company’s door thinking that they would get to see BTS. Remember that there could be sasaeng fans too, you never quite know who’s one of them until they act out. There are many crazy fangirls who could potentially harm BTS and maybe even Homme (though I don’t know how many people are a big fan of them), and they don’t want to risk their safety just to accept a few trainees. They’re too busy with BTS to even think about debuting another group. BTS has had the company incredibly occupied since 2015 when they started to become popular, and now they basically dominate the company’s activities. Now that Bang Shihyuk has a group full of mega-stars that make him crazy amounts of money, why would he even need another girl group?I could be wrong about one or all of these, but these are the reasons why I think BigHit has stopped taking female trainees at their company. Maybe someday that will change, when Bang Shihyuk realizes that not all girl group members are like Dahee and can trust that no one will harm BTS. (which will probably never happen)

SM USA MONTHLY AUDITION QUESTIONS?

1. It depends. You MUST have a good voice though. If you can improve with a professional voice, then even better. You should be pretty darn good, since if they (let's say) train you for 5 years, you'd be 24-25 (in Korean age) or even more. They want younger people so they can train and improve them more, so you must be able to impress them with your age and voice.

2. They ask you to sing 1 song. If they really love your voice, then MAYBE 2 (usually not). If you sing Rolling in the Deep, they are most likely going to compare you to Park Ji Min (winner from kpop star audition season 1), which her cover was world widely famous since she was young girl with a phenomenal voice. You should do an English song, preferably Ice Flower by Ailee.

3. Dancing (freestyling) is a major part in getting in to be a trainee. Even if you are just average in singing, but outstanding in dancing, they will take you in. You just have to stay on beat, but having great freestyle rhythms is definitely a plus.

4.SM sticks to Korean or Chinese mostly. But it doesn't matter about your appearance, since nowadays, if you are what they consider "ugly", they will go as far as giving you plastic surgery to make you look 'better'. Height and weight is the bigger part in appearances. You have to be at least 165cm tall, so you can be around 170-175ish when you wear heels and foot paddings to make you taller. And you also have to be under 48kg (depending on how tall you are). They want long flawless legs, so it will look nice when they dance or do all those things.

5. They look for natural faces (natural beauties). Try not to wear makeup as much. Just wear some concealer if you desperately need it, and just wear jeans/shirt. Or if you are going to dance, dress more comfortably in leggings and a shirt. Don't wear sweatpants or anything that will give them a bad impression.

6. In Korean age, you will be 20. Usually Korean entertainments auditioning age limits are 19-21 (depending on each company).

Can I become a k-pop idol? I can sing, dance, rap, and my age is between 10-13. I have pale skin. I am also good at speaking Urdu, Hindi, and English. I am also very smart.

Short answer: Maybe, but you have very low chances.First, think about how you will get there. How will you learn Korean? Which company will you choose? Are you okay with leaving your family for months, even years on end? Are you alright spending your childhood training to be perfect?Well, enough dramatization aside, I believe if you put your mind to it, you can make it. You are obviously talented, after mentioning your skills, but that alone won’t get you through. Including talent, you would have a boosted chance of success if you are 1) good-looking and/or 2) have a charming personality.Let me explain, in the kpop industry, most strive for very specific characteristics: pale skin, of east Asian descent, v-shaped face, slim body, and preferably, double eyelids. If you do not have these features, it’s okay. Most companies will over look it if your talent truly shines. However, a few will pressure you to go through plastic surgery to acquire those looks. (I’m talking about you, SMent!)Okay, onto number two! If you have good social skills or are a great entertainer, more people will pay attention to you. Think about it, on V-Live your idols aren’t boring, right? For me, I get into kpop groups based on charisma and personality. At first I am attracted to the songs, then I watch more of their personal stuff (TV Shows, V-Lives, etc). In the end, I stay for the idols themselves, not the music. That’s one of the reasons kpop is so popular now… The reason why people love to follow-up on celebrities. So, to cap it all off if you have the talent, the looks, and the charm, you have very high chances of becoming an idol. However, this is only the beginning. Be prepared to audition and train. If you are rejected, don’t give up! You’re still so young! You have plenty of time. Once you’ve been accepted, learn Korean diligently! Listen to your instructors. Make friends! Who knows what’ll happen there… And if you truly debut, work hard, be happy. Savor the moment your hard work finally pays off.(Quick Note: I do not support becoming an idol if you do not know what you’re getting yourself into. It is difficult and strenuous, and might not be the right career choice. If you are becoming an idol because of seeing all the glamour and glitz, research about the real conditions. Please be careful.)
