Is Something Wrong With My Knee

I got dizzy when I hit my knee. Does that mean something's wrong?

I tripped over the stairs today and I hit my knee on the rim (the metal part) and for about a minute or two I was really dizzy. I had to sit down and even when I did my head was spinning like crazy. Of course my knee hurt too but at that moment I felt like I was gonna pass out. I didn't think it was a big injury but then blood (little spots though) started seeping through my pants and when I came home I checked it and the scar is pretty big and deep. I'm thinking about seeing a doctor if it gets worse.

What I'm worried about is why I got dizzy. I have arrhythmia and occasionally I might get dizzy when i get up too fast or something. But this was worse than ever. Maybe I hit a sensitive nerve on my knee?

Thanks.

My knees feel uncomfortable? Is there something wrong with my knees?

Sometimes both my knees have uncomfortable feelings. The sensation feels like my knees are carrying too much weight or there's some kind of stabbing pain. I honestly don't know how to describe the pain since it affects some parts of my knees. Different areas of my knee feel pain each day or not at all. When I go jogging, the sensation or pain goes away within 10-15 minutes. When I play basketball, the stabbing pain affects me sometimes and I have to sit out for about 15 minutes and the stabbing pain goes away. I went to the doctors two month ago. My doctor recommended me an orthopedist since he saw no inflammation in both my knees and he could not figure out whats wrong. I want to the place he recommended and one orthopedist told me that I might grow because of the sensation in my knees. A week later I went to the same place and another orthopedist told me that I put too much weight on my right leg and that I need arch supports for my feet. The first orthopedist showed me stretching exercises to strengthen the legs. However, the uncomfortable feeling did not go away after I started to do the stretching exercises.I also didn't buy arches for my feet since the second orthopedist told me to roll a ball on my thigh since its too stiff. -__-

Is their something wrong with my knees when I bend my leg it looks like the head of a hammer?

Probably not. Osgood-Schlatter syndrome is a benign congenital condition which caused a bony prominence just inferior to the patella (kneecap).

I can't touch my toes. Is something wrong with me?

It’s okay if you can’t touch your toes. Do not force it. I can touch my toes if I want, but I choose not to do so most of the time. When I do, it is usually with my knees bent slightly.Listen to and honor your body and appreciate what it can do.Something we did in a recent yoga seminar, that you might want to explore is this: Gently do your forward fold until you reach the place that is comfortable for you, such as below your knee. Observe carefully how you feel throughout your body. Return to standing.Next put a tennis ball under the ball of your feet and roll the ball around on the floor with just a little bit of pressure. Move the tennis ball to other places under your foot and do the same, but avoid the arches. This will help to loosen some of your connective tissue, which runs throughout your entire body. Put the ball aside. Now try your forward fold again and see if you feel any difference. You may also want to experiment with different ways of doing your forward fold. Which parts of your back do you engage? (We typically want to avoid engaging our lower back to perform a pose). How do you hold your pelvis prior to the bend? Can you feel your core muscles engaging? How are you positioning your feet and where in your feet are you holding your weight? There is so much involved with this pose beyond simply touching your toes! Be careful that you are not straining your back or locking your knees.

Did I tear some thing in my knee

A few week ago, I was lifting weights with my legs and the next day my knee started hurting really bad. Now if I put any weight on it it hurts, if I bend it it hurts, if I run or jog it hurts, if I go up stairs it hurts, and when I swim it hurts. And when I say it hurts, its a sharp pain that last up to 30 seconds. In going to the doctor Monday to get my physical for football and I'm going to ask him about it, but do you think I tore it???

Is something wrong if my knees crack loudly when I do situps?

It's normal until it does not pain

My Squat is very weak and hurts my knees, am I doing something wrong?

Definitely yes. The squat, with weights, places a lot of stress on the knees. More so if you try to go low.Try something easier first. The body weight chair squat is the best starting point. You want to build up your quads, not see how heavy you can squat. Leave it to those with a lot of ego.The main point to MINIMIZE stress on a weak knee is to make sure that the knees do not extend beyond your toes. The technique closely resembles the deadlift. So practice the motion until you can do it in your sleep. Do it SLOWLY.Once you have the technique ingrained in the muscles, you can start to do the deadlift with a light load initially. Look out for feedback from your body. Are your knees still hurting badly? Feeling a bit of stress in the knees is normal. BUT there should NOT BE A SHARP PAIN. Is your spine in a neutral position all the time? How is your lower back muscle group reacting? If the load is light, any pain or discomfort is mostly due to BAD technique. Rectify all faults in technique. As you progress, DO NOT try to go with a weight beyond that of the weakest muscle group, your fingers. If you cannot do 10 or so reps without your fingers starting to loosen, then the weight is too heavy. Let the progress follow the progress of the fingers. DO NOT use wrist bands or whatever if you want to prevent back injuries. The idea is to build muscle, NOT how much you can deadlift! If you can deadlift your body weight for 10 reps, then you can try the squat. By now your knees will have adapted to stress involved but you still have to start with a light load first. The reason is that during the squat, your knees will definitely go beyond your toes. So let them slowly adapt to that position again. Again 10 reps of your body weight should be enough. That is roughly equivalent to a 1 rep squat of twice your body weight. (I may be wrong in the estimate).Always keep in mind good posture and technique.

Whats wrong with shaving above the knee?

I've heard the same thing. Its crap. I've heard that it caused cancer too, and I heard that it makes you have ingrown hairs. It doesn't. Perhaps its also a prude way of saying not to shave your bikini area? That's what my mom told me. Apparently its a sin to do so, and also is bad for your health somehow?

I say shave anywhere you please. I shave above my knees all the time.

I heard a similar pregnancy wives tale. I heard that if you are pregnant you should pee on some motor oil, and the color it turns determines te sex of the child. I've also heard that dying your hair causes brain tumours.

What's wrong with my knees?

This information is insufficient to even suggest anything. Kindly give more details. Did you have any injury? How long has your problem been there? At rest do you have aches or pains? Is it actually pain or just some ache?. How often do you have it? Is it related to some exercise or walking? Does application of heat relieve it? Your age? Obesity? Sometimes pelvic problems present as a knee problem. If you can give these details, I may be able to give some suggestions. However, to play safe, try and consult an orthopaedician or bone specialist. He will be the best doctor to advise you.
