Is The 2007 Mazda 3 I Sport 4-door Expensive To Insure

Mazda 3 or Pontiac G6?

I strongly suggest the 3. We are a Mazda family, have had many Mazdas and zero problems what so ever. Our 2005 Mazda 3s currently has 78,537(I went out and checked it, just for you lol) and I cannot recall any problem except one bolt on the door that needed to be tightened. It was not a problem it would just creek when opening/closing the door. The 3 is small and quick. It is good for getting thru traffic and still has a reasonably sized trunk. If the trunk isn't big enough the seats happen to fold down(We have the hatch btw) and you can fit pretty large things in it if you really want to. The a/c is super cold and the heat is super hot. I am kind of a audiophile so my only gripe is the non bose radio didn't have that punch so I added a very small 150w sub that is bolted to the seat and is out of the way. We can fit 4 people comfortably, and for a little less comfort, as with any car, we can fit 5. The handling on the car is great and I find myself thinking I'm in some kind of supercar the way I drive sometimes. The Mazda 3 is a very fun, reliable, safe, small on the outside huge on the inside car and I strongly recommend it.

As for the g6 I cannot comment on that because I haven't ridden more than 100 miles in one. I, however, drive a 2004 Mazda 6s and it is in the same size range as the g6(Midsized). Out of all of the Mazda's we have owned the 6 is easily my favorite. It (the v6 engine) is pretty quick and if I want to I can get 400-410 miles on a tank. I drive the 6 pretty hard at times and I have 86,716(I went back out there just for you again lol) trouble free miles on it we had to get the rotors machined (free) at a Mazda dealership because they were warping. Of course that is caused by me so its not really a worry. The trunk on the 6 is huge! and the seats fold(we have this in hatch too) It is like the 3 but bigger. I didn't have to add a sub because the Bose sounds great in here. The handling on here is better than the 3, in my opinion, but I think I may think that partly because I drive the 6 more so I know its limits around corners and such better than the 3(if there are any). We have the sport model and it has a very sporty look to add to the sporty ride and speed. If you did look at a mazda 6 try after a 2005 maybe.

I can really go on forever about these cars. I really think you should look at a mazda6 if you need a larger car, but out of the two, I have to give it to the Mazda 3. Gotta love the zoom zoom lifestyle!

Is a mazda 3 a sports car too a insurance company ?

Nope.

It is an economy compact car so the insurance for it is very cheap.

Would you expect a Honda Civic Si to have higher insurance premiums than a normal 4-door, manual Civic? By the way, I am 18 years old.

Insurance companies have these people called actuaries who keep volumes of data and draw conclusions from it. There are actually a ton of reasons that a Civic Si might have higher premiums. A few would be accident rates and repair costs. Insurance companies also have started sharing data in large amounts. There are some general rules in the insurance market. Two door cars tend to be more expensive than four door cars. (I suppose people looking for sport don’t favor 4 doors.) The higher performance “sport” model will rate higher than the generic variant. (Which is my guess in this case.)Assuming the Si is the “sporty” Civic then absolutely I would expect it to be more expensive than the generic Civic.

Would the Mazda RX8 be considered a sedan by insurance companies?

It is considered a 4 door car by insurance companies. It just does not help the price that much if at all for a young kid.

However at your age you WILL be paying between $400 and $500 a month for insurance on that car. The last guy I know that got a real quote was 16 and he was quoted $450 a month. The problem is your age, people between 16 and 19 are considered to be a huge liability.

You are almost guaranteed to crash your first car or get in some type of accident at that age. Add in that you will be driving a rwd sports car with perfect 50/50 weight distribution and suddenly you get wrapped around a tree or pole.

Is a Mazda 3 a good car and why?

The Mazda3 (no space = cooler) is a phenomenal car, almost regardless of your priorities as a driver.Let's skip how they look - you can develop your own opinion there.PerformanceNimble, planted, fun to drive. Excellent steering. You can get the rear wheels out if necessary, and it will only ever be your decision. My Mazda has the 2.5. It's sweet, smooth, and more than enough to get up to 120 or so without waiting too long. In literally every situation that is not a race from 60 mph to top speed, this car would dominate my old 280hp Lincoln Mark VIII.The automatic transmission is quite good. You can shift manually with flappy paddled or by moving the gearstick. Programming normally, while shifting manually, and while in Sport mode is excellent. The Sport Mode button is my car's clitoris.InteriorThe seats are faux leather, but it's nice faux leather. The contrast sticking looks gorgeous. The materials throughout are great - Mazda has fantastic attention to detail.Great sightlines, solid seat adjustability, back seat is road trip-friendly. The trunk is below average in size for this segment, or at least it seems like it.The switchgear feels GLORIOUS. Seriously. The infotainment control nob is in $100k Audi turf.TechBlind spot warning (audible and there's an icon on the side mirrors) is amazing and useful and I don't want to live without it.Backup camera is ditto. This car has a HUD. And Mazda was smart, because they made something quite low-tech that is insanely useful. You hardly notice it, except that you notice it not being there for the rest of your life in cars without one.The tach is front and center. All of the gauges are gorgeous and useful. The infotainment system is a bit too slow, but otherwise very intuitive and full-featured. You can get root access to it and remote into your car from a nearby Starbucks, as long as the engine's running. It's mostly JS and compiled C++ on there. You can change the background, enable Navigation system operation while the car is moving, open a dialog saying "Serious Shit" when the car hits 88 miles per hour, whatever. This is seriously cool. Durability:There was one month when I got 3 flats, but I live in Boston. Weirdly, that's the only time that ever happened. The paint is SERIOUSLY thin. Scratches will happen. The skin of the car isn't particularly thick, either.Nothing else has ever gone wrong.

Is a Mazda 6 a good first car?

My 2011 Subaru Legacy died due to a blown head gasket (the 2nd within the same year). Anybody who owns a used car knows how expensive it is to fix a blown head gasket. Thus, I decided to move onI bought a Mazda 6 2017.5 Sport trim new and couldn’t be happier with my decision. The car comes standard with Blind-Spot Monitoring and built-in navigation (you have to get $85 SD card containing the map from eBay though). A firmware update containing Android Auto and Apple Car is coming 2018100% Made in Japan! Awesome acceleration for a 4-cylinder. Very responsive steering makes driving an ease. Handsome design inside and out. I got it for $20.5 K out-the-door price! You can’t get this price in an Accord.Plus, you don’t look like the guy next to you or behind you in the parking lot.My wife, who drives a 2010 Lexus ES350, has made a habit of borrowing my car since hers “drinks too much premium fuel.” With the Mazda 6, I don’t care where I have to go. I just hop in and enjoy the ride. Seriously, I enjoy every mile I spend with it.After all is said and done, I think the 6 is a perfect first car. It’s incredibly easy to drive, fun and stylish. You will not regret.*****Updated 03/29/2018*****Mazda will officially release a retrofit upgrade containing Android Auto and Apple Car in Fall 2018 as a genuine accessory. I personally think it will be just a thumb drive.

Should i get a Mazda Rx8?

Well it depends on your situation. If you have a job and can afford payments and insurance go for it. I bought my RX-8 brand new when I was 22. But I also had graduated from college and had a full time job.

The RX-8 is a great car. It is a lot of fun to drive, after 5 and a half years I still enjoy driving the car every time I get in. It is practical enough to be your only car. I have driven it in Chicago ever day of the year for the last 5 years, though you will need to get snow tires if you plan to drive it in the snow. I actually prefer RWD cars in snow as long as you have the proper tires.

The car really doesn’t cost that much more to run than a boring econobox. The fuel mileage is bad - around 16-18 MPG if you drive it like it is supposed to be driven. Don’t listen to anyone about oil consumption, I put in a quart half-way between oil changes and that's all it needs. So if you cannot afford 3 bucks for a quart of oil every 3 months then there is no way you can afford any car. I do all the service on the car myself, it is actually pretty easy, and I had never worked on cars before. I spend about $250 per year servicing the car myself, and I do more than what is recommended.

I think that it is a good sports car for someone that is a bit younger. It handles great and is not overpowered, so you can actually learn how to drive a sports car. Where as a Mustang or 350Z has too much power and not enough handling. So an inexperienced driver will either never see the cars potential or wrap it around a telephone pole. Then later on you can get something with a lot more power and actually know how to properly drive it.

Insurance will be high for a while. I spend about $120 a month on insurance when I bought it. After I turned 25 and got married, it dropped to $60 a month.

There are some pretty good deals on RX-8s right now. They depreciated a lot, which is bad for me but good for you.

Read up on rx8club.com there is a lot of good information there.

So, is a MAZDA 3 sedan good for first time driver?

Mazda 3 is the best beginner's car.
It handles sharper than any other car at the same class.
It turns more accurately; it change lanes faster, and it has very sensative brakes.
You can get one under $20k if you don't go fully loaded. I mean, why would you go leather on an economy car anyway?
Good fuel econ: because it is more powerful than the Civic or Corolla, it uses a little more gas.
Co-signing with your dad is a good idea if he's a good driver.

Is a Mazda 3 a good first car?

Last I checked insurance premiums depend on how many doors, what type of engine, the car's classification and your driving record. Mazda 3 has four doors instead of two. The Mazda engine is famously economy, not a supercharged V8 and if you have a stellar driving record as well as low miles reported to the insurance company you are in great shape. Since the 04 model year Mazda3 has a very respectable reliability record. To me a girl's car is Mary Kay pink.

Enjoy the ride.

What are the disadvantages of owning a Mazda RX-8?

I really don't know why people give a bad rap to the RX-8. Owning one I can give you a list of disadvantages:

Fuel consumption. Gets about 18 mpg whether you shift at 8000 rpm or 3000 rpm.

I many comparisions it is slower 0-60 wise to many other cars, but in a real race is a true leader in cornering.

You must check the oil level once in a while. The engine is made to consume oil to keep the rotary lubricated, and usually requires a quart every 1000 to 1500 miles, but since I don't drive it much, this is never an issue. I just get the oil changed every 3 months.

You can not just turn the engine on then back off. This will cause flooding. No there is not a flooding problem with this car like people suggest, it is a characteristic of the rotary. Just make sure you warm the car up and you will be fine. Its like saying a car has a starting problem if there is no gas in it. No gas = no starting, as in quick turn-on turn-off = flooding in a rotary.

On the advantages side:

Insurance is not high as people think. It is classed as a four-door compact car, although it is a true sports car. And it has ABS standard as well as many safety features. It cost less to insure than my 4-cylinder sedan I had before.

It beats the 350z in all comparisions expect speed. The back seats actually hold people, unlike most cars, and it has the suicide doors, which is a great feature. The 350z has no back seat, and the insurance is much higher because of it.

The car is a blast to drive. It is fast enough, and climbing to 9000 rpm without redlining or even coming anywhere close to hurting the engine is amazing.

The engine is one of the most reliable on the market. Besides winning many adwards for reliablity and fun, it is very simple. It only has 3 moving parts. A normal engine with pistons and cylinders has over a hundred. It is true there have been recalls, but once these are taken care of the engine is quote "undestructable."

The car is fairly inexpensive. The STI is over 10 grand more than an RX-8...and the 350z is also quite a bit more with the same options. The styling of the RX-8 beats both cars in my opinion. Its actually looks like an exotic car, whereas the 350z looks boxy and lame, and the STI (and Evo) look too teenage streetracer like. The RX-8 looks like a mature car, and acts like one.
