Is The Dave School Reputable

Which school is better, Yale or Harvard?

Yale is generally regarded as having a better undergraduate program, both academically and experientially, while Harvard is generally regarded as having a better graduate program across most of the schools where the two  universities go head to head.Harvard has a larger endowment, but one could argue that under Dave Swenson, Yale has a 'better' endowment.Harvard has Cambridge and Boston, while Yale has...oh, never mind.

Where can I get REPUTABLE LITERARY CRITICISM from?

See if your school provides services like Ebsco, Gale, JSTOR, Facts on File, etc. Of those, JSTOR and Facts on File are the best. If your school doesn't, then the local library might.

How much is tuition at Dave School?

the tuition is $33,500 plus the $150 deposit. My son is starting there on 9/29/08. We got a sallimae career training loan ($20,000) which is 'credit based' and paid the balance w/ savings + credit card. I preferred him going to DAVE school rather than Full Sail. A co-worker's son went to Full Sail a few years back and had to take classes at all hours of the day and night....plus, the garbage courses really aren't necessary.

Just wanted to add that the DAVE school IS reputable.

How can I start doing research in high school to look good on college applications?

A2A - You don’t do research just to look good on college applications. Research requires intense commitment. If you choose to do research, you do it because you want to do it.It helps to know what subject you plan to research, but since you didn’t say, I’m going to assume some kind of STEM research. There are a number of ways you could do this. One is to just work on a project at home or at school for a science fair. To get an idea of the types of serious research projects high school students do that win at the most prestigious science fairs, I highly recommend the book The Class by Heather Won Tesoriero. The book is about a high school class on science research, the various students’ projects and the science fairs themselves. Science fairs are good because as a high schooler, you’re not likely to publish your research findings in a reputable academic journal, so the fairs give you a way to have your projects officially known. You could do your research as an independent study class with a teacher sponsoring and guiding you. If others at your school are interested, you could even get a teacher there to offer a class in it. Or it could be done as a club, where you meet weekly to do the research. There are summer camps on university campuses just for research. You may be able to volunteer to work as a research assistant under a professor near you, though this would be assisting, not doing your own research. Still, you’d earn a letter of reference from the professor, and if you’re planning to apply to his college, it could help you get in.

Is Arizona State University a good school for engineering?

Absolutely. I am not sure what other schools you are considering, for what degree/major and what kind of experience you have in the engineering field. Some of these factors play role to determine what are chances of learning and doing better at ASU. Various schools of engineering falls under Ira. A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. One can find ranking of various programs and schools here. All schools are highly ranked by U.S. News and others, mostly in top 30's or 40's throughout the nation and recognized worldwide. As I am computer engineering major, I can at least say that programs of electrical engineering, computer science & engineering, industrial engineering etc. are very good. There are multiple core courses offered for undergraduates and graduates, including numerous special topic courses. Faculties are highly qualified and so are the teaching assistants/associates. Everybody tries hard for academic success of the students. The professors and research staff are working on modern cutting-edge research and they are funded well by the government agencies and industry. Students with better academic preparations are valued by the industry and land into nice industrial exposure. There are many research labs and centers, details of which can be found by going through website of the specific school. In short, I would say that ASU is not an Ivy league engineering school, but worth to go and get really nice and valuable experience. Good Luck!Best,Shail

What is the difference between Dartmouth college and Dartmouth University?

The difference is that Dartmouth College is a good school. It is an Ivy League University, very prestigious and reputable. In addition to it's $3 billion endowment, its academic programs rank up there with those of Princeton, Harvard, Yale. It costs $45,483 per year to attend. If you applied here, AND got in, you would be able to pursue a Pre-Medical course track. If you're talking about Graduate studies, you can apply to the Dartmouth Medical School.

The University of Massachusetts has a campus in Dartmouth, MA, so it isn't really Dartmouth University.. it's UMass: Dartmouth. Therein, you could also participate in a Pre-Med program for up to $15,000. Again if you were talking about graduate studies, there exists a campus just for medicine in Worcester, MA.: The UMass Medical School.
