Is The Drivers Permit Test Open Book

Driver's Permit Test Questions?

I read the Drivers Manual and Im going for my test tomorrow for my permit and I was wonderin what kind of questions are on the test? Like mostly signs? Or what to do in a situation or what. What should I study the most on?

Have you ever failed your driver's permit test?

Today, i took my permit test and, well failed. But before taking it, otw to the DMV, i felt confident that i was going to pass. I had studied and passed all the practice tests, and i felt ready ! But unfortunately, i was ONE of from passing (9 errors, 8 is allowed to pass) Whats even worse is that an answer i got wrong was an answer that was correct before i ERASED it. I felt like such a dumb *** and i was so disappointed in myself. Now i have to wait 2 weeks in order to retake it. Any of you ever have this experience?!

Can i take my driver permit test on my 16 birthday?

My birthday is in 9 days & i've been studying the ny state drivers book for a about 2 months. Would i be allowed to take my permit test on my 16th birthday or do i have to wait at least 24 hrs of being 16 to take the test? This is just what my mom thinks but it doesn't make sense to me. I would call them to ask but they're not open on the weekends & i would like an answer now please

What percentage of people pass their permit test the first time?

100% of those who never read the manual and are not prepared, fail.

Well, that's not accurate, some luck out and pass anyway, so it's less than 100%, but it's a high number.

Oh, and they don't make you parallel park to get your learners permit, so ignore that advice.

Have You Ever Failed An Open Book Test..??

Nope -- tests and school, I've always kicked butt in those areas.

When it comes to the test of real life, on the other hand...

Is the learner's permit written test easy?

As mentioned in another post I recently moved to another state and had to take the written test (open book as I already had a license from another state). I can't begin to tell you the number of younger people I saw fail the written test. For many that was their second time failing that same day! I did not study and had to look up two answers as they were state specific (how many people in a vehicle are required to wear their seat belt and what percentage of children under 6 years are found not to be in a baby seat).

I think many people think they are too cool to study the book before taking the test and think they can just walk in and pass the test (sound like anyone you know?). Don't waste your time and other peoples time... study the book. It's just not important to know in order to pass the test, you need to know the information for *when you're driving*.

Can I still get my driver's license if my permit has expired?

Nope!Lets recall the test is comprisedof a written portion and an open-road driving portion. You cannot legally perform the driving test if you do not have a permit because your permit is what allows you to legally drive on public roads.Usually renewing a permit is fairly inexpensive once it's expired (under $10), so no worries there!

How many questions can you get wrong on California’s driver permit test and still pass?

Their website has 2 answers depending on age:Driver License and Identification Card InformationUnder How to apply for a provisional permit if you are under 18it says: Pass a traffic laws and sign test. There are 46 questions on the test. A passing score is at least 38 correct answers. You have three chances to pass the test. If you fail, you must wait 7 days before taking it again. How to apply for a driver license if you are over 18:You have three chances to pass the driving test. If you fail, you may practice for a while, then make another appointment. There is no waiting period, but you must make an appointment. If you fail to successfully complete the driving test on the first attempt, you must pay a $6 fee for each additional driving test that is administered under an application for an original or renewal driver license.I don’t think there’s any difference in how many written questions you have to get right if you’re over 18.The DMV website is your best authority on this.
