Is The Federal Budget Being Allocated Correctly

Is cost allocation arbitrary?

No, I don't agree.

Cost allocation is the process of identifying and assigning the costs of services necessary for the operation of a business or other type of entity. Unlike a cost rating, the allocation is less concerned with the actual amount of the cost, and more concerned with allocating or assigning the cost to the correct unit within the organization. From this perspective, cost allocation is then a tool that helps track all costs associated with the ongoing operation more efficiently, since each cost is associated with specific departments or groups of departments within the organization.

There are several reasons that cost allocation is important. One has to do with accurately assigning costs within an organization, so that it is possible to know exactly what types of costs were incurred in the operation of a given area in the organization. This is not only important information to consider when creating an operating budget, but is also essential in calculating taxes that must be paid to local, state, and federal tax agencies. In a number of countries around the world, the way that costs are allocated can have an impact on how much the organization pays in taxes, making it necessary to comply with any government regulations that have to do with the allocation of costs within the organization.

Another benefit of cost allocation has to do with simply keeping track of expenses for internal planning purposes. While some expenses are indirect costs and benefit more than one area of the operation, there is still a need to allocate direct costs in a manner that is logical and accurate. Even when the costs are incremental--they are stretched out over several accounting periods--making sure the costs are assigned properly can make a big difference in how well each unit within the business or other entity works within their share of the overall budget. When it is apparent that one unit will exceed its assigned budget, steps can be taken to implement cutbacks on non-essential service costs, while finding ways to adjust the overall budget to allow for the continuing support of essential functions.

Is there a difference between Detention Camps and Concentration Camps?

The people living at the times of Nazi Germany didn't say anything either when Hitler was building his camps. The US has and are building more camps, and only a few seem to be bothered. If you read the article, please note the phrase: "potential terrorists". Hitler had Jews, Homosexuals Gypsies and others

The Halliburton subsidiary KBR (formerly Brown and Root) announced on Jan. 24 that it had been awarded a $385 million contingency contract by the Department of Homeland Security to build detention camps. Two weeks later, on Feb. 6, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced that the Fiscal Year 2007 federal budget would allocate over $400 million to add 6,700 additional detention beds (an increase of 32 percent over 2006). This $400 million allocation is more than a four-fold increase over the FY 2006 budget, which provided only $90 million for the same purpose.

What is the difference between allocation and distribution ?

If it is your job to decide how much money goes to three charities, you are in charge of the allocation of your donation. The money each charity gets is their allocation.

You'll often hear this word used when talking about things like government funding. People often debate the allocation of federal funds. Should tax dollars be used for the military, or for domestic needs like education and healthcare? These decisions are made by Congress and the President, who work together to create a budget to allocate funds appropriately.

Distribution means the passing out of something. A teacher is in charge of distribution of corrected essays. A lunch lady manages the distribution of food.

Distribution can also refer to the way something is distributed. In our country, many are concerned about the distribution of wealth, which is increasingly concentrated in the hands of the richest few. When you put money in a brokerage account, it's called a contribution. Taking it out is a distribution.

What are consequences of poor budgeting?

Poor budgeting can lead to one or all of these:- incomplete projects- getting loans to fill the gap- loans interests are extra cost- extra cost may mean lower profit margin or cost larger than product/service price mean you have to reprice- reprice means you will have to redo your market research (extra cost) and your competition mauly have a better price because they didn't have to go through poor budgeting consciences- competition prices are way better and they are in market before you because you know no poor budgeting - them before you in market means loss of market share means more expensive advertising and marketing campaign to take the market share back- you are bankrupt with debtsSo better spend good time properly budgeting

Is Imran Khan correct in saying that most of the current government policies are too Punjab-centric?

I do't think he is rightafter the 18th amendments province are free to do whatever they wants. No suppose if Federal Government is become Punjab centric then who is stopping to grow other provinces in the give resources and rights they got from 18th amendments. What I observe about Imran KhanHe is very confused person. He talk before and then think about if after some time then he change his stance. Basically he is delivered to fail anything in the KPK and now he is making noise and targeting the Punjab and Federal Government. In over a 100's of his interview I watch of Imran khan he fail to convince me with his answers. He never replied to the question thoroughly. Despite answering the question he counter question the anchor person. Many of the Media anchors basically a pro PTI that's why they never asked tough question to Imran Khan and PTI representations in their programs. Imran Khan is afraid to be the most dignified anchors of Pakistan Media Tallat Hussain, because he is afraid he will ask him tough question.  He is afraid to give interview to Najam Sethi, he knows that Sethi will ask him tough question.
