Is The Indian Tourist In Hongkong Can Get Visa In Philippine Consulate Hongkong

How long can I stay in the Philippines with a tourist visa extension?

Three years, according to their own Philippines Immigration Bureau web site. However, (a) you need to extend your visa many times, first at 30 days, then 29 days (and get an ID Card), and then every 1, 2 or 6 months. I’m told (no personal experience) that after about 8 months they start getting curious as to why you are staying so long on a tourist visa, but they will extend it up to the full three years. And (b), each of those extensions is about PHP3,000, plus about PHP 5,000 for the ID Card (at the 2nd extension, and the ID Card is mandatory), and you have to re-register the card every year (January to March). (c) lastly, after you have been there 6 months straight, you are then required to seek permission (at about PHP1,000 or PHP2,000 - forget which) to leave - i.e. an Exit Permit. So, my suggestion is: stay about 5 months (into your third extension) and then hop on a cheap flight to a neighbouring country for a day or two ‘holiday’ from your holiday. Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore, Bali, Jakarta or Hanoi / HCM are all good, cheap, choices (US$2–300 rtn airfare if booked well in advance) that are only a couple hours flying time away. That resets everything and you start over with 30 days as the first time (but you don’t have to get a new ID Card).Unlike most of the world, the Philippines actually wants people to stay (so you spend your money, of course, they are not altruistic, just smart). And given the extension fees, and the large numbers of tourists always there extending when I am, the extensions are funding the entire Immigration department budget I’m sure.Good luck, and enjoy your stay.

Do Indians need visa to visit Philippines?

Yes we need. While India has granted visa on arrival facility to Filipinos in major airports, Philippines has not reciprocated this.Last time I went to Philippines embassy, I took my Filipino wife's Overseas Citizen of India card, which gave her lifelong visa free entry, stay and full rights equivalent to an NRI in India, and flashed in before the visa officer as to why I can't get similar document or a visa free entry. But she just smiled at me blankly. I've valid US & Schengen visas in my passport, which entitles me to visa on arrival in Philippines, but I didn't like to use it for two reasons. One the Philippine government is saying that I'm acceptable for VoA because I'm accepted by US & Europe only and not because of country to county relation or because I'm married to one of their citizens. Second I have to fly to Manila (visa on arrival is given only from Manila airport) from where I've to take a 4 hour drive to my wife's house, which is tiring. So I choose to get a visa in 2 days and fly to an airport which is just an hour away from her house.

Do Indians need visa to travel to Hong Kong and Macau?

Sorry for answering very late. I tell my very bad experience. I had traveled to all South East Asian countries several times including KL, Singapore & Bangkok and other places. But i never had such a bitter experience. When i went to Hongkong for a 4 day visit on 22nd Dec, 2015, morning flight to Chek Lap Kok Airport I had been refused entry in Airport and quarantined by the Immigration Authority. In spite of my arguments as i came as a tourist, had a valid passport, Confirmed Return Air ticket to Chennai, India, Valid Hotel Booking, Confirmed Big Bus Tour Ticket for 48 hrs and sufficient balance both in currency as well as Bank Statement, my Leave Letter Grant Signed by the Management for Vacation, they showed my a Inquiry Room. I thought they only quarantine Solo Traveler like me and only when i entered the room i saw some 2 or 3 person groups mostly Gents except 2 ladies came with their respective relatives but all 100% Indians mostly of Punjabi. Off the group around 30% were detained for the past 2 days. I don’t know about others but in my case even after showing all genuine documents they requested me to depart in the immediate flight which was available that day on Evening 7.15 pm via KL , forced me to book that flight but till that time off-course they provided a Chinese Tea, some Oily Vegetable Salads, Assorted Fruits as i told that i am a vegetarian. I had even approached the Chief Immigration Officer who was a Lady for the reason of refusal, and told about my Nationality, the Non requirement of Visa for 14 days, etc, she agreed with a smile but politely told that this might be due to some problem created by Punjabi Indians during that period, and even though i happens to be a genuine person once refused entry by the Immigration Officers even by their own mistakes, it will be fed in to their Computers and subsequently can not be amended except in extreme cases and apologized for the inconvenience. Then 2 Immigration Executives escorted me up to the flight seat and returned like handing over a criminal. Subsequently i came to know there are lot of other Indians mainly solo travelers are refused entry not only in to Hongkong but also in Macau. I will never think of Hongkong or Macau after that and posted it in various Blogs including Trip Advisor.com. So Indians “Beware of Hongkong or Macau”.
