Is The New Haunted Mansion Movie Still Happening

The Haunting movie 1999 how was the character Eleanor related to the deceased children?

Crain had a second wife named Carolyn, from whom Eleanor is descended. Apparently the necklace was passed down through generations of women in her family.

Crain took children from his mills and murdered them, then burned the bodies in the fireplace, trapping their spirits and forcing them to remain with him, providing him with an 'eternal family'. Eleanor wasn't related to the children, but felt that it was her duty to save them from their abuser.

As far as the rest, it all indicates that the house is "alive" with all the spirits trapped within...able to play tricks on peoples minds, to lure her there in the first place, etc. As with any group in a haunted house, some people are more sensitive and can see/hear things that others cannot.

As far as the Dudleys, they claimed in the beginning they would not go there at night, that nobody would be there to help the group & that nobody lived close enough to hear them, etc. Obviously they knew the house was haunted and had some very bad juju and it was dangerous to stay overnight in it.

It's a movie. Anything can happen in a movie.

I also agree with answer 1 that the original in 63 was way better than this remake.

Did Disney Ruin "The Haunted Mansion" Movie When Casting Eddie Murphy?

Did Disney Ruin "The Haunted Mansion" Movie W Casting Eddie Murphy?
I loved the ride and have always been a big fan. So when i went to see the movie, I kept scratching my head, and wondering why they cast a black man "Eddie Murphy" into a role in which black people did not play a role or had been any part of the haunted mansion story.
It became an interracial filth fest story, THAT I FIND SO DAMN OFFENSIVE!
What a joke! no white man married a black woman in those days, or would even consider it. Yes... Much like today! Aside from what you have been told, this does not happen.
Why does all this political correctness turn every remake or adaptation of a movie into a bad movie no one wants to see????!!!
Thank you black people! We can now see never ending pirates of the Caribbean sequels, but left with Buckwheat inside the haunted mansion forever? just kill me already!
-Disney fan disgusted!!!

...And thank you Eddie Murphy, for killing any hopes of making a film Disney fans would want to see!
Eddie Murphy, just like his brother are total ZERO'S!!!!
EDDIE MURPHY AS AN ACTOR IS AN OXYMORON!!!!

Which of disney world's haunted mansion story is right?

Hello Snow cub:

On a personal note: The Haunted Mansion is one of my two most favorite rides at both Disneyland (Magic Kingdom) and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, Florida. That said...

The storyline can be confusing because the storyline itself has evolved over the 40 years that the original Haunted Mansion in Disneyland has existed, followed by the Haunted Mansion in Florida. You have to understand that the Bride in the attic has been updated/refurbished a few times over the years, and with the refurbishment the storyline has been (unofficially) "rebooted" as well.

"Reboot"--in case you don't know--is what often happens when moviemakers make a new movie in a popular franchise (i.e. "The Punisher" and "Star Trek") and either throw-out the previous storyline or otherwise go way out into left field.

As the ride has evolved over the years, so has the tale(s) of Master Yale GRACEY and the Bride in the Attic.

Before movie of the same name came out, there have been numerous tales and myths re: Master Gracey and the Bride. A good source is Doombuggies.com (a.k.a. "The Haunted Mansion Website")--a website totally deicated to the Haunted Mansion.

And speaking of the (Eddie Murphy) movie... although the movie is based on the Haunted Mansion attraction (just like the Pirates of the Carribean movie was based on the original PotC attraction); the storyline is totally separate from the attraction--so (to answer your question here) "neither" story is right, as applied to the Disneyland and Disney World dark rides.

Not that I want to add to the confusion--but one of the original storylines for the Bride was that she was a jilted/forlorn bride. The whole "axe"/"bloody bride" thing was added recently. The Bride wasn't always so bloody.

As for Master Gracey's "there's always my way" and hanging from the rafters in the Stretching Room... How and why he hanged himself has always been largely left up to speculation.

That's part of the mystique of the Haunted Mansion... a lot is left to speculation.

Hope this helps a little...

Edit: I have/own "The Haunted Mansion from the Magic Kingdom to the Movies" by Jason Surrell too... Good book on the HM!

What happens in paranormal activity 3?

Basically,

*Spoilers*

It starts with the dad feeling funny stuff in the house, so he sets up cameras (he has a job as a guy that films weddings). He puts one in the girls room, one in his and one in the living room that rotates. So they start seeing more scary stuff once his youngest daughter starts talking to her imaginary friend, Toby. The dad continues to investigate what is happening and finds that there was a coven of women in their family that sacrifices men to the demon for power and wealth. In the middle of the movie, you see the Grandma come over and try to talk to the mom about trying one more time for a boy but the mom refuses. Throughout the movie, it seems that Toby is wanting Christie to do something but when she refuses, his activity grows worse until the slams a bed up against the wall and drags Katie into a closet. Christie screams that she'll do what he wants.

So they decide to go the their Grandmother's house, who they mentioned in the first one may of had something to do with it in the first place. The dad walks into a room and see's all of the women dressing Christie up in a viel and jewerly. The dad asks who she is marrying and she replies, 'Toby'. That night, the mom and dad go to sleep and they hear weird noises so the mom goes to check on the girls but she never comes back so the dad grabs the camera and goes looking. He goes into the living room and the basement, seeing symbols of the coven and is scared by some of the Grandmother's friends. He runs back upstairs and he sees his wife floating at the top of the stairs, she is then thrown at him and killed. He then sees Katie crying at her mother's dead body, he approaches her and she turns around with a demon face and throws him. He's then on the ground crawling towards the door when the Grandmother shows up (creepy as hell) and she breaks his back and snaps him in two. She then takes Christie's hand and says, "Let's get ready and she replies 'Come on, Toby!'"

So basically the Grandma is evil and she sacrifices her daughter and the dad so that Christie can be married or mated with the demon to produce the family's first heir, who is Hunter in PA2. She probably sacrificed her daughter because eariler in the movie she did not want to have anymore kids so the grandma had to rely on Christie or Katie to produce an heir so she could repay her debt. So all in all, it was really scary and kind of messed up.

In The Haunted Mansion, what does Elizabeth's letter say?

For those of you who have seen it, do you know what it said? It only pans to the letter for a couple seconds and when it's read out loud, only five sentences are quoted. Please answer!!

What happens if a Disney ride breaks down during the day? How do they prevent it from “ruining the magic”?

Depends on the particulars, but Disney’s Cast Members prioritize safety first, which means the magic sometimes gets sacrificed a bit.A friend of mine was a Walt Disney World Cast Member in the early 2000s, and he told me once that CMs use four quality standards: Safety, Courtesy, Show, and Efficiency. It’s deliberate that safety comes first! So when there’s an attraction breakdown (or “code 101” in CM slang), depending on its scope, guests may be left in place until it can be resolved, or evacuated from the attraction. I’ve had both happen. I once sat on the Disneyland Haunted Mansion for what felt like 15 minutes (but was probably closer to 5) in the attic, right in front of the bride.(Image via DoomBuggies > Explore the history and marvel at the mystery of Disney's Haunted Mansion attractions!. Their caption: “Pictured above are images of the original Disneyland Bride, and at right, a newly costumed Bride, circa 1996.”)After resolving whatever issue was holding us up, the ride resumed. The lights never came on and we never broke immersion, except for the repetition as we stayed in place.Another time, though, we were evacuated from Splash Mountain. This was a moderately frequent occurrence when it was first installed at Disneyland, as they had some difficulties with the logs on the big hill at first. We were stopped for a few minutes in one of the early show scenes, and a CM eventually came along and helped us out of the logs and out of the show building. Of course, we saw a bit behind-the-scenes, but again, safety comes first. We were handed “skip the line” passes for our trouble - this was pre-FASTPASS - and rode again at about 3:00 that afternoon to the visible displeasure of other guests who’d been waiting in line for about 2 hours at that point! It’s less of a problem than you’d think, because attractions more prone to breakdowns are generally ones that the smallest children won’t ride, so the “breaking” of the magical illusion isn’t as much of an issue. Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland, for example, is a pretty simple attraction that (as I understand it) doesn’t break down much. The Indiana Jones Adventure, however, often breaks down for a few minutes, to the point that guidebooks often suggest that guests waiting in line for it wait a few minutes to see if it gets going again.

Why do I have recurring dreams that I live in a haunted house?

If the dreams are nightmares, it means that your brain is trying to bring something to your attention. You have a problem in your waking life that needs to be fixed, so your brain is giving you reoccurring nightmares to tell you that you need to fix the problem. The meaning of a haunted house in a dream can vary. If you are physically in the haunted house, you might have incomplete emotional business that relates to your childhood family or dead relatives, or it could mean that you have feelings that you're repressing. If you are only seeing the haunted house from the outside, it could mean that you feel someone in your waking life is decieving you or is untrustworthy. I hope this helps!
