Is The Pg Era Over Now

Why did WWE have to be PG era?

I hate the new Wwe now it's sucks and it's boring like seriously Daniel Bryan and CM Punk and the Diva's Division what ever happened to the Woman's Championship? The crowd is not as interesting like it was before and of course John Cena is so boring on the mic and to me sucks. I miss the Attitude Era!!!!!!! I miss watching The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The American Badass which is the Undertaker and Triple H. Since this PG Era started its almost like kid friendly. I miss the crowds chanting asshole and stuff and the crowd going crazy. Now I've heard that they use fake crowd cheers and who is Uso Twins? Or the Bella Twins? The promos make then was better than now!!!!! WWE lost about 40 million dollars last year. They need to change it now or else we won't see WWE anymore? Also why did they change it to the WWF to the WWE? And why did they make the Big Red Monster unmasked himself?

WWE PG era or WWE Universe era?

What will it officially go down as?
What do you call it?
I call it the WWE universe era because after the Ruthless Aggression era, they always mentioned the WWE Universe as its main focus and because the late 90s was the Attitude Era, it wasn't the era named after the certification.

WWE's "PG-Era"...is it really all that bad?

I understand WWE fans' frustration with the current product. But I really don't understand why the "PG Era" is the worst thing that has happened to wrestling since the Montreal Screwjob.

There are some things I would like Attitude Era "purists" to consider:

1. The wrestling product in WWE has improved significantly since then.

2. The lack of blood, the somewhat of a decrease in the exploitation of women and the sharp drop in profanity has made parents more comfortable and willing to bring their children to WWE live events and watch WWE programming. This keeps the money flowing in and ensures the well being of the promotion. Sometimes the tastes of a few have to be sacrificed to protect the bottomline.

3. There are alternatives if you feel the need to bash. You want blood and guts? Go watch Combat Zone Wrestling. You hate storylines? Go watch Ring of Honor? You want the Attitude Era all over again: "Cross the line" and go watch TNA.

4. WWE public relations have improved significantly since toning down on their act. Politicians aren't hounding them as before during the Attitude Era, when several representatives attempted to have WWE taken off the air.

5. Did I mention that the wrestling has improved significantly? There are programs that come on now that actually have WRESTLING on them and don't have 50 minutes of promos and 10 mins of wrestling. Granted, sometimes WWE Overkills with the Randy Orton promos, but otherwise they usually keep the show balanced.

WWE's "PG-Era" has benefitted far more than it hurts in my view.

Your take?

Will the wwe pg era end this year?

I don't think it's going to end anytime soon. They are doing great with the merchandised that they sell and also they are under contract with Mattel and kids are all over the WWE Universe.

Why is there so much failure in the WWE PG Era?

I completely agree with you. Moreover, wwe can give us better storylines even within the PG boundaries (remember the 2011 MITB), but they don't, coz it won't keep the kids interested anymore. This is where WWE becomes a joke and rather a joke of its former self (attitude era n ruthless aggression era).

Why is WWE so boring because of PG era?

I know that WWE is a family company because of its merchandise and stuff but the thing I don't get with the company is back during the Attitude Era, many matches like street fights, jumping off titantrons, brawling in crowds etc... ,funny comedy like Mr.McMahon wetting his pants when Steve Austin had a pretend gun and a little violence like ECW had. But now the comapny is very friendly, I mean you hardly see blood anymore, ECW-related moments like suicide dives through tables and barbed wire.

Because kids watch it parents believed it is violent but what about when they were kids, when their parents were kids or more. I know some parents may find it bad but that's what wrestlings about fun and entertainment not kiddish programs or kiddish comics. My point is why have WWE left their roots and gone friendly instead of being like ECW or as they were before.

I guess that's why a few jumped ship to TNA because they hated the way WWE was going.

Is the pg era really killing the wwe?

It's not so much that the PG rating is killing WWE. WWE used to be PG before the Attitude Era, but despite that, the WWE's Golden Era was still entertaining and had some great and classic matches. The problem is the booking that's killing WWE. The WWE has a large talent pool, but only a small fraction of that talent is pushed or even featured on TV. The matches in WWE are mostly the same matches over and over and the WWE keeps their company face the same stale man that many adults are tired of. Many of the matches and gimmicks are just all-around tired and/or bad. Adam Rose, for example, is another feminine dancing man with a party gimmick and a person in a bunny suit for crying out loud. They have midgets (no offense with that term) wrestling at times and wrestlers with the look and talent to be doing more serious things such as Titus O'Neil, for example, are often involved with this mess. The pay-per-views are also becoming more like the televised shows too. It's things like that ruin the WWE because a lot of people except the children are likely to be turned off by all this. It's possible for something to be PG and still good. Look at a lot of cartoons and animated films, for example.
