Is There A Band Locally That You Follow Around

How to treat a horse coronary band abcess?

I don't know who gave the girl whom suggested soaking in warm apple vinegar cider, but she is absolutely correct.

I'm a retired vet, so I've come across alot of abscess's in my day. Here's what I would suggest you do.

Give a shot of Banamine to ease any pain.Soak the horse's foot in warm apple vinegar cider for 10 minutes. This will soften the coronary band. Epsom salts only help with inflamation. Let dry and walk your horse on a grassy area for 20 minutes. Gently wrap your horse's hoof in a linseed poultice. These are great wraps that will heal that hoof up right clear. Leave wrapped until dry. Then walk again for 20 minutes. Make sure you keep walking your horse as this will allow the pus to move out of the band faster and your horse won't stock up as bad. You need to ditch the diaper as this can create an infection in the hoof wall and further lame out your horse. Infection thrives in dark moist places and that diaper will soak up excess pus and only multiply the infection. Let the hoof dry out and keep up with this process for 3-5 days. If it hasn't gotten better by then, call the vet. Don't waste your time with the farrier as most overcharge to treat abscess's and they won't guarentee their work.
Make sure you are walking your horse. It may seem cruel to do so with him in pain, but the banamine will help, but the hoof will need help to heal itself.

What do you call those girls who sleep around with rockers?

They're called groupies if they are obsessed with a group, ie. Led Zepplin had groupies.
And they are called Band-Aides if they sleep with rock stars, without regard to what band they play in to motivate the band.

To the person who answered roadies: These are usually 300+ pound guys who lug gear and lighting equipment around. Definetly not the people bands typically want to sleep with.

What's it called when you only eat free range, ethically produced meat and animal products?

To "know brainer" I asked a straight forward question and you answered by giving me your reasons for being vegan, which was not the question to which I will explain why I choose this diet.

Ethical omnivorism may be a better option for people who really care about animals because only by supporting the good farmers can we ensure they survive. If everyone who cared became vegetarian or vegan the only consumers of meats would be people who don't give a damn how the animals are treated - and so the good farmers would go out of business, and no animals would be treated well.

Spanish word for color guard?

Because many spanish speaking countries do not have a Color Guards (or not ones like the American ones), they really don't have a strict word for it.

In my school and the local area, the Color Guard is locally referred to as "el grupo de banderas" (or the flag group) or we also say "Soy parte del gropo de banderas, cuya marcha junto con la banda" (I'm part of the flag group which marches with the band) to clarify between the JROTC (military) color guard and the Band color guard.

Why is it important for bands or artists to go on tour?

It really depends on the level of the band. Large acts that are well known and can sell out stadiums at $50 a ticket go on tour to make money. Take the band Tool for instance. They have not released an album in 8 years (or is it 9 now?) but the last time they came to town, every single seat at the largest venue in town was sold, up to the very last row. Then there are the mid level bands. They have a name and a career in music that at least lets them to pursue their music. They can’t sell out stadiums, but can sell out smaller venues. Theses bands make money on tickets and merch, but they are not getting rich, more like surviving. I could name some bands, but more than likely unless you are into a specific genre and follow it closely, you would not have heard of them. Then there are the low level bands, generally bands that do not have label support. For these bands, they go on tour to get noticed by the industry, to show that they are serious about having a music career. Many of these bands play small clubs, less than 100 people capacity, and entry is much lower cost. They sell merch and physical copies of their music. If your band impresses someone live, they will often show up at the merch table looking for a t-shirt or something to buy from you. Often both the band and the buyer of merch know that the primary reason for purchase is to support the band. Often the etiquette is for the local bands to give their cut of the door to the touring band to send them down the road. By and large these smaller acts are lucky if the break even after costs. You have never heard of these bands, which is why they are one the road. You can also get more people to come out to a show and sell more merch if you are in a new town every night, with new people to show up.Now is it important to go on the road? Conventional wisdom says you need to for the above reasons if you want to be successful. But is touring required for success? There is much debate and opinions tend to be polarized, but in the internet age, a catchy song and video can take you much farther than touring.Take Red Fang from Portland, OR, they were well respected in the scene but they all had other jobs to pay the bills, but when they released Prehistoric Dog, they blew up. The song had been released for over a year, it was the video that gained them exposure.

Do musicians still get groupies?

I guess this question is in need of some specification. To make it easy:a) do old musicians still attract old groupies?b) do old musicians still attract young groupies?c) do young musicians still*) attract young groupiesd) do young musicians still atrract old groupies ( d) mainly added for theoretical completenesses sake)*) the 'still' in the answer is because of the referring to the phenomenon as posed in the question, a thing that once was prominent.Main aspect I think is that rock music with it's inherent groupiedom hardly exists anymore. The industry/culture changed completely. Moreover, something else changed, namely sex. First, there is feminism. Relations between men and women changed. No longer it is all about the pleasure of man. Sex also became linked to power. Let me just say #metoo. Second, the position of sexuality changed since the sixties. It is not as important as it once was, younger people wait longer to start with it, find it less interesting and are less passionate. It has become more usual, natural, and of course AIDS came along, as well as STDs, making sex no longer the careless thing it once was (yes, pregnancy is less an issue these days, in theory at least). This all aside, let's make it more general. Think of Andy Warhol's factory. Do women still offer themselves for sexual services to men that perform for audiences and enchant or excite audiences (let's talk DJ's, writers, poets, vloggers, soccer or American football players)? The other way around, isn't the question simply: will my changes of getting laid increase (a lot) by playing in a rockband? In, less the old fashioned way, will perform for audiences, get famous in any way, do?
