Is There A Lot That We Don

I like this guy, but we don't talk a lot?

About a few weeks ago, I started liking this guy who has two classes with me. He knows who I am, and he doesn't ignore me, but we don't talk a lot. During class we will a little bit if we're doing group stuff, or walking in the hall way(with my friend who is also his friend). I'm just really shy and awkward and I have nothing to talk about. He's really nice, and he's absolutely adorable, but I want to become his friend first, because obviously love doesn't happen over night.

Thank you!

We know a lot, but is there anything we don't know anything about?

One if the biggest scientific mysteries is that everytime a particle of ordinary matter is created, a complimentary antimatter particle is also created. When matter meets its antimatter partner (as inevitably the must, except near the event horizon of black holes) they annihilate each other and release all their energy. So why is it that we have a universe of matter. Where did all the antimatter go? We can see no evidence of it in the observable universe. There is no evidence as to why this symmetry is broken.

Is there still a lot that humans don’t know about earth?

I have a mate, Gary, who once asked me, whilst on the sesh at about three in the morning, “Do you think we know too much random stuff”, or words to that effect. For perspective, Gary and I became great friends recently at a sparsely attended house party, when, I started a game of “what’s the capital of”Normally, people don’t play this, and if they do, it’s not for long, and it’s never a challenge (Australia sees most of them off and the rest are taken out with South Africa or Brazil)Gary was pulling out fucking Tallin, Sofia, Montevideo, even Ouaga-fucking-dougu! Not only did he play, he wiped the floor with me! He also loves trivia and learning “stuff”I’d just told him some random ass fact when he asked if we knew too much stuff. I said that if you went to the British library and just stood and looked at the millions of books, just how few of them would contain the knowledge that we had in our brains. What knowledge do the other books have in them? I don’t know. I can never know until I read them. How can you possibly quantify how much you don’t know? How much do humans not know about the earth? Only a fool would say nothing.Five thousand years ago, we knew that Helios drove his flaming chariot across the sky.Two thousand years ago we knew the earth was flat.Seven hundred years ago we knew the earth was at the centre of the universe and the sun orbited us.We’ll never know how much we don’t know, but we’d do well to assume that it’s pretty much fuck all, and to be able to change our opinion about what we thought we knew, because historically, we’re normally wrong.

Are there a lot of things that we don't see with our rough eyes that actually exist?

Yes. A lot! Sound for example. Heat. Scents. Pain. Radio waves. Microbes. Flying bullets. Faraway objects. Our eyes are fortunately only one of our senses. Also, we humans are able to extend our senses by inventing equipment. Also, our ability to see requires that certain forms are recognised instinctively. They constitute visual elements, and are identified by studying optical illusions. No mind can perceive a form directly as it really is, not even a hypothetical “perfect” mind. But this has nothing to do with our eyes.(I have thought that it might make an interesting story to suppose that a species had evolved with a shape that is invisible to humans, by exploiting the limitations of perception through pre-programmed visual elements.)

How come a lot of black women don't shave their legs?

hey kim! don't get upset! i didn't say ALL black women, i just said 'alot'. i'm married to a brother, and hence have a huge black family now, and NONE of them shave their legs. i'm not pointing it out like its gross or racist. i HATE shaving my legs and was hoping someone would let me in on ya'alls secret, if there was one!
peace!

Why do we tend to think of the same thing a lot if we don't talk it out?

It's how we make sense of thingsOur brains use our thoughtsOur memoriesAll our rightOur knowledgeOur informationAlong with a bit of our imaginationWe use our brains creativelyThis ruminatingThinking is us analysingMaking sense of itIt comes from not recognisingWhat it's alerting you tooNot listening to it's senseNot understandingThat acceptanceAnd moving forwardPast this is the way forwardYour still figuring it outFighting itStop paying it so much attentionLook for a solution to do today and move on from itHope this helps :)

Why do we get a lot when we don't expect anything, and why don’t we get anything when we expect at least something?

When you're not expecting anything and you get a little it seems like a lot however when you're expecting something every the biggest achievement looks tiny! So keep working hard & don't expect.

Why are there a lot of things that I don't understand in life?

Because you are likely perfectly normal. People forget that the “magic” of childhood lies in curiosity—What’s in that cupboard? What’s under that rock? What happens if I stick a worm down my sister’s shirt? And so on.Not all enquiries will lead to useful answers but the important clue is to keep asking and attempting to find out. Also, it helps to remember that “knowing” is a stagnant state—once you know something, you stop asking questions about it (look at those who have all the answers and live the same existence, day in and day out; they are truly the walking dead). The trick is to use the platform of knowledge to ask more and deeper questions and thereby be vital and alive .
