Is There A Problem Taking A Picture Of Yourself At A Business On My Cell Phone The Pic Is On Fbook

Is it haram to post a picture of yourself on facebook?

Pictures can be very distracting, if you post it without hijab, then it is definitely forbidden sis. Where as if you wear hijab, but have guys on your list, then it can still be very distracting and may cause fitnah.

Besides, would you want a non mahram to look at you, even if it is only your face, and think that your 'pretty'? Wanton display of a muslimah is forbidden :)

Why is it not acceptable to post pictures of yourself handling alcohol on facebook when you are underage?

Posting pictures of yourself with alcohol is in no way illegal, even if you are underage. Think of it this way: Lil Wayne talks about smoking weed in his songs, but he can't get arrested for it because unless he actually gets caught smoking weed, there is no proof that he actually does it. You can post pictures of yourself with alcohol because there is no way for anyone to prove you were actually drinking the alcohol. On the other hand, it's inappropriate for a minor to post pictures like that because some people might find it offensive, specifically family members or family friends.

Can I use any picture from Pinterest on my business Instagram?

I would be careful doing that without first getting permission from the original owner. There are many free stock photo sites such as Beautiful Free Images | Unsplash to get images. Otherwise, you can create your own using Amazingly Simple Graphic Design Software to post on your Instagram!Good luck!

Is it illegal to use someone else's picture (a photo of a random person you found on the internet) as your Facebook profile picture?

Yes it is. It’s a crime to use someone else’s picture as yours without their consent. This is when, the picture belongs to someone like me and you. This is a cyber crime. But if they are celebrities, they cannot sue you because their pictures are bound to be public.

Does anyone else find that posting funeral photos on facebook disturbing?

Absolutely ridiculous.

She has a right to take pictures of whatever she wants, and perhaps she wanted to remember her father's funeral. Or maybe she had other reasons, who knows? But to post them on Facebook is just crossing the line. She might have lost her father, but she needs to remember that everyone else lost a loved one as well, and that NONE of you deserved to have your faces plastered all over a social networking site while you were in obvious mourning. That was crude, insensitive and wrong.

If any other relatives are ticked off about this, then I suggest you all get together and explain to her - nicely, because she might not realize how many people she's hurt by doing this - that none of you want random people on Facebook to see what should have been a private moment between loved ones of the deceased. Tell her that you are all offended, saddened, and feel exposed and violated in a vulnerable time, and ask her to please take down the pictures. She'll probably get mad because you guys even asked - in that case, report her to Facebook for posting pictures of you without your permission.

Why are my Facebook pictures showing up in Google Search results?

Good question….. Google issues because Facebook images are showing your Facebook photos on Google search results. If you search for your photos on Google, Google will publish a social media case for you to publish Facebook or photos. Will show your photos at the top of Google's search results. If you do not want your photos on Google, the cassette is going to your privacy line -> -> Facebook that matches your timeline. Go to another search engine? -> Mark the end box and do it. After these steps, Google will show your photos on your Photoshop and will occasionally show the search results page. Facebook adds a different feature to your picture with your name. A separate feature is something that tells search engines a photo content. Since Facebook page is high (9-10), Google thinks it's important to show your photos on its search results. When someone searches your name above your surface level, till then their photo is your name in Alt altitude. If you're on a Chrome browser, you can do one (Control + Shift + i) to open the Developer Tools and click on the image to see the image details. You can change your privacy settings in Facebook to stop it. Not only do other platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter also do this. So you want to change everywhere.

Is it rude that I don't like taking pictures?

Um.. I don't like other people taking photos of me. I am introverted that way. I hate photos. I only will take a photo if I do it myself.

I hate when I go out with my friends they think they have the right to take photos of me. A lot of people think I am mysterious and rude because I generally dislike people taking photos of me. I feel that I have every right to tell people "no." so what if they get upset? Why does that make me rude? If anything people are rude for assuming it's okay to take photos without my permission.

Does that make me rude?

Is it legal for someone to take a picture I post on Facebook for their own commercial use without my approval?

Technically, you own the copyright to any photo that you take (there are some edge-case exceptions, but that's the general rule).  If someone takes a photo and uses it without your permission, they are violating your copyright with regard to that photo -- especially if they are using it for a commercial project. In addition, their use of the photo for a commercial project is likely also a violation of Facebook's Terms of Service, which outline what a user can and cannot do with content contained within the service.  While you do grant a limited license to Facebook and its users, commercial use of such a photo is probably not within the boundaries of that license.Of course, just because it's a violation, doesn't mean anything in and of itself - how badly do you want to pursue this?  If you expect to recoup anything, you're looking at hiring a lawyer, issuing a C&D or DMCA takedown, depending on what the commercial project is, and possibly suing for compensation.  Plus, since your photo wasn't filed with the Copyright Office (though you can still do so), you're not entitled to statutory damages, but only "actual" damages - which in this case are likely to be pretty minimal.TL:DR - Yes, they probably violated your copyright to your photo, but it's a long road to actually seeing anything done about it.EDIT:As for the section of the FB TOS that's posted, that has nothing to do with copyright - "use" is a vague term that still has all the connotations and controls that one would normally have with regard to copyright.  The only way to waive your copyright protections in the US is through a written and explicit transfer of some or all rights to another person or to the public domain.
