Is There A Specific Name For These Kind Of Flip Flops

Does anyone find flip flops sexy?

yep! my boyfriend loves it when i wear flip flops!

What's so special about Havaianas flip-flops?

I got a pair while I was in Brazil. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. They're the most comfortable flipflops I've ever worn besides the hand-made ones you can get in the Caribbean and they're not made of leather.

And I don't know how much they cost in the US, but they were pretty cheap. So... if you're cheap and animal-friendly, then you've got something to be impressed by. Raving though? Probably not.

What would a fear of flip flops be?

Haha. Well, this wasn't too serious of a question. And actually, I do freak out around them. I started to cry when my brother put them in my lap, no joke. I hadn't worn flip flops since I started highschool. I'm a jeans and converse girl, even in the summer. I don't go to the beach, and if I am in a bathing suit, I wear converse until I take off my jeans, then I'm barefoot. I'm a junior and the year is almost over. It was my first time wearing them in so long. My family jokes about them being cursed.

What are flip flops?

Flip-flops, also called bistable gates, are digital logic circuits that can be in one of two states. Flip-flops maintain their state indefinitely until an input pulse called a trigger is received. When a trigger is received, the flip-flop outputs change state according to defined rules and remain in those states until another trigger is received.  Flip-flops can be used to store one bit, or binary digit, of data. The data may represent the state of a sequencer, the value of a counter, an ASCII character in a computer's memory or any other piece of information. The type of flip flops are -1. SR Flip-flop - (Set / Reset)The Set input will make Q goto 1 i.e. will 'set' the output. The Reset input will make the output Q goto 0 i.e. reset the output. The scenerio of having both Set and Reset at logic 1 is not allowed as this is not a logical pair of inputs.2. T flip-flop (Triggered / Toggle)A '0' input to 'T' will make the next state the same as the present state (i.e. T = 0 present state = 0 therefore next state = 0). However a '1' input to 'T' will change the next state to the inverse of the present state (i.e. T = 1 present state = 0 therefore next state = 1).3. D type flip-flop (Delay)Any input appearing (present state) at the input D, will be produced at the output Q in time T+1 (next state). e.g. if in the present state we have D = 0 and Q = 1, the next state will be D = anything and Q = 0.4. JK flip-flopWhen J=K=0, the current output will carry through to the next state. e.g. Current state Q = Next state QWhen J=0 and K=1, the next state output will be put to 0. This happens regardless of the present state output. When J=1 and K=0, the next state output will be asserted (put to 1). This happens regardless of the present state output. When J=K=1, the next state output will be the inverse of the current state output. e.g. Current state Q' = Next state Q.

Why do Indians call flip-flops as slippers?

Oh no! Someone got it horribly wrong.. Americans call them flip-flops and slippers interchangeably. I saw an entire section at Nordstrom called 'Men's Slippers'.. Indians originally call them 'chappals', and that's kinda cool, isn't it? ;-)

Why nand and nor used in flip flop?

Here is an explanation about using only these two type of gates in one specific project. I comment about flip flop immediately after.Reading the history of Apollo, the first attempt to convert analog computer to digital to win the race to the moon, we get the answer:Integrated circuits were not reliable. The more complex the circuit, the higher the chance of random failure. So, the directive was given to restrict the choice of chips to the only one proven reliable and standardized enough to have more than 1 source.Using simple binary logic (Morgan law, carnaugh table, etc), any complex operation can be performed using only one type of gate (OR or AND) and inverters (NOT gate). Using a NAND or NOR gate with both input connected together, you get a NOT gate as well.Note that over the 5 years or more of the Apollo computer design, the reliability of chips kept improving, so more complex chip were finally allowed in the design. As for the flip flop, there is a few detail that are rarely mentioned about how “weird” they are compared to any logic.1- Any type of flip flop need at least one “RS” memory element. This element is made of two NOR or two NAND where the output of one goes to the input of the other and vice versa. So, for reliable operation, the two gate need continuous glitch free power. Any other logic design can tolerate noisy power or even complete shut down in between active operation.2- In case of D latch and a few other flip flop topology, the logic gates need to act as analog device, that is voltage sensitive, as the clock raise (or fall), making sure that the first RS flip flop capture the input value first, then, as the voltage keep raising, the second RS flip flop capture the value present on the first, and reflect that value on the output.Inside a microprocessor), for example, every bit of each register has these pair of transistors that need to trigger at two distinct voltage levels.

Is wearing flip flops all the time bad for your feet?

I wear flip flops pretty much all year round and am barefoot indoors. I have heard this is bad for my feet because of no arch support with the flip flops or when barefoot. But my feet feel more comfortable this way.

Flip-flops with scrubby tops?

anyone know where i can buy these kind of flip flops?

also, what is the name of them?

i want some for the showers at my gym so i dont slip and fall like i would if i wear my regular flip-flops.

gracias! :)

Does anyone know where I can find more "low rise" flip flops like these?

http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/calgal27/items/GIANNI_BINI_BRIGHT_BLUE_CABO_SANDALS_THONGS_10
I like how the straps on the front are really low on the shoe. Also if anyone knows of a specific name these kinds of sandals have, that would help my search!

Thank you!
