Any way to convert scanned PDF to excel/CSV file?
I was wondering if there is any program out there that can convert a scanned image of text into an editable CSV, Excel, or any program that can edit words into a list. I'm trying to scan my German vocabulary textbook onto my computer because I use an online flashcard program that makes learning vocab easier. I tried typing the words individually in but it became to annoying to do every single word (There's around 10,000 distinct words in the book). The program allows to add bulk entries of words if they're separated and I've tried using www.onlineocr.net but the words came out all out of order because it has the German word and English definition parallel to it so I guess it could pair them properly or something. Can anyone help?

Is there any free programs to convert a scanned pdf file to a word document?
there are a few of those programs out there but they are generally not FREE and it will only be for a limited time. Some will not do multiple pages and some will leave a watermark of the software company. I'm not sure what Adobe program I'm using but I can save the document into a Text document. You will lose any lines and the nice format of the document but all the words will be there. Heres another way I do it with documents other than PDF..... If you have an EFax account - they do have it so as long as you dont get over like 10 efaxes in a one month period, the service is free. anyway, electronically fax the file to your efax account. when you get the email, save it as a TIF file. I have an old Brother printer program called Paperport, within that program it has a OCR program that will read the document and put into Word Format. Of course, some documents dont come out too perfect and need to be adjusted. I've been doing it this way for quite some time and although it seems like a lot of work, I havent paid for any additional software.
