Panasonic DVD Player/Recorder Subtitle Help!!?
I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-ES20. Every movie I play in this dvd player automatically puts the subtitles on. I need to turn it off, they're annoying as **** haha. Anyways I hit display>disc>subtitle and goto Off, press enter, exit the menu using return. I goto the actual interactive DVD menu and select "settings" or similar, subtitles off, continue the movie. NEITHER OF THESE WORK! Help would be appreciated =D

I just bought a DVD and when I opened it, it was dislodged in the case. There is a scratch near the rim of the DVD. If I watch the beginning of the DVD and it doesn't skip will I know that it is okay? Meaning, does a DVD player read from the outside to the center? Thanks!
