Is There A Way To View Old Elementary School Report Cards If Your Parents Lost Them

Parents and report cards, I'm so scared?

I knew you were Asian after reading the first 2 paragraphs (no offense; I'm Asian, too). I used to feel that way, too. I don't know about your parents, but all my parents did was lecture me and "rant" about it if I did worse or didn't improve. And that's all they're ever going to do! Don't be scared. They don't reward you for doing well, so you got nothing to lose. Even if you did do better, you'll probably still get yelled at for getting one B, right? It's okay.

Show them your grade, and be brave. Listen to and respect them, but don't take their criticisms to heart. Don't be afraid of them. They just want what's best for you, but they show this in the most cruelest way. Just accept their rants, but don't be intimidated or feel pressured by it. Like you said, you tried really hard. They'll probably call you "stupid" or say stuff like "I'm so ashamed that your my kid" or just something that lowers your self-esteem. Words can't hurt you, and they don't mean it. You're not stupid and there is nothing to be ashamed of. Did you hurt anyone? Did you commit a crime? No. You're just out there trying your best. They should be glad that you're not on drugs or being sexually active. Pat yourself on the back for getting your B's and A's, and get a tutor or something to help you out with Math for next year.

And college apps are stressful. But I'm sure you'll get into a decent school with those grades. Maybe not Harvard, which is probably what your parents are pressuring you to get into. Eventually, you'll get used to your parents ranting about your grades. I did, at least.

I never even showed or told my parents my college grades. What are they going to do? I'm too old to be yelled and lectured at. I did pretty well in college, but I wanted my parents to know that grades weren't everything, so I stopped showing them my grades. And grades are DEFINITELY not everything.

How do I show my parents a bad report card?

Have a plan, and have answers, not excuses. Talk to the teacher respectfully about what is deficient. Talk to a school counselor about tutoring or other options. Know the answers to these paths, then talk honestly and objectively with your parents.Beyond that, learn from the experience. One of the best teachers is our own failure, if we take the time to understand how we failed, and adapt to a better, more effective course of action. When I speak with “at-risk” students, I always help them see their own world, not mine. Learn that needs are first, and wants have to wait. Increase the amount of time you focus on needs based on the outcome you desire and hold off on that “Facebook” post or that trip to a friend’s house to chill and play on digital platforms. Tell your parents what you are willing to forego in order to improve your academic performance, then do it. One added benefit? You will feel great when presented that next report card, because you earned it!

If you lost your school report card and you abotu to change schools how do you get a new one?

Where I teach, the new school always asks for your records from your previous school. No one would want to accept a copy handed to them by a student or their family as it would be easy to change grades, etc. I wouldn't worry about it. The old school has a copy and can send it on.

Good luck at your new school!

How did your parents punish you for a bad grade on a report card?

I have a funny story though. My father once punished/caned me for a bad grade. It was the only time and I believe the punishment was justified.I started poorly as a kid in school and my father was a little worried. I was improving slowly but that was because the number of pupils in class reduced every session. Then one day, My dad came home visibly worried, and called me and my sister, then he promised to get a bicycle for anyone who comes top three in class(I was 7/8 in primary 3, my sister was 5/6 in nursery 2).Surprisingly , in less than two months, the result was out and I performed excellently well. I was third best in class and I still remember how my class teacher praised me for my sudden rise in good grades. I was motivated by the reward of a bicycle. Yes, bicycle was a big deal then, a really really big deal. Did I mention that i went from 7th in my class and 13th overall(because we have two classes ,A and B) to 3rd in class and 4th overall.Plot twist; The reward was acquired and I went on being top 3 for another session then I started backsliding and playing again. In primary 4, I came 5th in class with a lower number of pupils and 8th overall. My report card assessment from my class teacher and headmistress were incriminating; it says I needed close monitoring and i was becoming too playful. When my father sat down with me to revise my grades, he noticed I was unserious and couldn't answer or grasp things easily. We went through my marked sheets and he flogged me up to 15strokes of the cane. I remember my granny begging him on my behalf. I think my bicycle was seized for a while, my movement in and out of the house was controlled also. The punishnent worked magic and I came 2nd in class the next session. By the end of my primary 5, I was the best overall in class ,scoring the highest in common entrance examinations. I wasn't just 1st in my class, I was first overall. I got a bigger bicycle as reward.

I lost my 8th grade report card?! help?!?

So I lost my first term report card this year, and i need that to hand in with my intention sheet to a high school i dont want to go to, but have to. Can I ask my school for a copy of my first term report tomorrow? Seeing as i am already a 1 week to 2 weeks late on the due date for them, and this basically shows how hmm, unorganized and irresponsible i am. :/

My report card has good grades, but i think my mom may have thrown it out on her crisis cleaning moment. (when shes angry she'll clean, and yell at the same time, throwing out any "junk" she sees.

D: so what can i do?! And if i cant get a copy, should i just hand in my intention sheet without the report card?

Parents: how often do you check your childrens grades?

Once a month.. but the teacher has my cell #.. mainly because she's a MILF
