Is it ethical for parents to enable internet parental control on their kids who are 18-23?
Are you living at home with your parents? If so, then they're pretty much calling the shots. Is it ethical for you to access their wifi and not let them monitor your use? They're paying for it, and I'll bet they have more to lose if the system gets hacked than you do. Move out, get your own wifi, and that will take care of the problem. It's in their best interests to know if you're visiting sites where hackers could access their wifi and their phones or computers as a result. Disconnect from them, and you can do all the web-wandering you want and be responsible for whatever viruses you download and whatever hacking you open your network to. Even with my triple firewalls, I won't give my daughter (the Virus Queen) access to my wifi, and she's 37. It's my information at stake, and I'm very alert to that.Alternately, you could subscribe to your own access while you're still living there. There are two DSL lines in my house and two separate wifi routers for me and my partner, because he, like my daughter and other folks, is computer illiterate and has no clue what he can get himself into. I prefer to keep that sort of hazard away from my financial records and the like.

No Electrical tape does not but some thing that will block a wifi. Is paint on walls that has lead in it (older house) But if your pc card is cracked it could had damnage on board printing.
My work has blocked ESPN?
My work blocked me from viewing ESPN. I get this message when I try to load the page. "Website Access Blocked The website espn.com cannot be accessed from this network. Site access blocked by Cisco ISA 500 Series Secure Router." Is there a way that i can get around this??
Can my school admin track my personal laptop?
I went to a proxy page and it said my network admin has been contacted. I'm on the school's wifi, but I'm on my personal laptop? Can they still track me down?

For goodness sakes- are you the parent or the local wimp?!Really- this is your child, in your house, utilizing equipment I assume you bought- is it really so difficult to imagine you have final say in when said child can use this equipment and when s/he cannot?Say, “No computer after 7:30 tonight.” Practice if you need to, but that’s what you say (or pick your own time, but make it in the evening, since you’re complaining about use at night).Now, the child’s response, from you even asking this question, is going to be something along the lines of “Fat chance”. Ignore that. Wait until 7:00, remind Darling Child s/he has a half hour left, and continue ignoring. Then, at 7:30, say, “Time’s up, please shut down the computer”. Ignore all of the child’s input- it does not matter. If the child does not shut down the computer, unplug it, unplug the router and any modem apparatus. There! The computer and child have been separated.Your war has just begun, but this is a battle you need to have- your child is running the show, not you, the parent. This is because you decided your child should never have to do anything he or she didn’t like, and that is exactly what you taught the little dear- the kid is spoiled and now you have to unspoil it. Good luck with that- but, hopefully, you can get control of your child, teach him or her responsibility and respect, and maybe by the time the kid gets to university, s/he will have caught up with peers in being just a normal impetuous young adult not a spoiled brat college kid who believes s/he is the center of the universe.Good luck- your work is cut out for you.
