Is There An Irrational Hatred Towards Immigrants

What is the difference between someone who doesn't want immigrants and a racist?

This is how I depict the racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrants and specific religion phobic people using a Venn diagram.Xenophobic: People who fear foreigners. They could have a fear for people coming from a particular country. A person can be xenophobic towards another person of same race, same language, same continent, and same religion but different country. For example, rival countries.Anti-immigrants: People who oppose immigration policies of their country, but rather than showing their disapproval to the government they tend to lash out at immigrants. They may not be very good at economics. When they are against immigrants of a particular race, they become racist.Racist: A person who hate/dislike people of a particular race. It comes from a place of superiority, most commonly shown by white people against Black, Indian and Asian people but a person can be racist towards their own race (internalised racism). It can also be reverse-racism, which means discrimination against white people. Racism also occur in dating, especially in online dating; sexual racism is often disguised by sexual preference.Broadly, it is every race against other race.Anti-refugee: This class of people oppose the immigration of refugees. The reasons they often provide are that refugees are - fake, unskilled, dangerous, and unsustainable. Even the new skilled immigrants oppose refugees. It arises from lack of faith, sensitivity and knowledge of humanitarian crisis.Specific-Religion phobic: People who fear a specific religion, mostly Islam. The fear could be rational or irrational. The fear often turns into hate.Xenophobia, Racism, Anti-refugeeism, and Islamophobia rarely occur separately.
