Is There Any Celebrities I Can Use In My Fanfic

Where can i find fan fiction stories of celebrities?

You know those stories that are like fan fiction that people make of their favorite celebrity? Well i love Beyonce and i was wondering if anyone knew of any great fan fiction stories including her or whether you have good sites. Preferably NOT fan fiction itself but similar places that people post their stories. Thank you!

Do celebrities read fanfiction?

I always wondered because I read fan fiction.
For example : Does Daniel Radcliffe read fan fiction about himself and his co-stars?
ex: Harry Potter/ Ginny Weasley
Harry Potter/ Draco Malfoy

Well you get the idea right? Plus it's not like you can outright ask them? Can you? I don't know about everyone else but I don't know any celebrities personally.

Any female celebrities who could pass as elves?

I want to do a Legolas fanfic from Lord of the Rings but I need a female celebrity who could pass as an elf. i need her to have long dark hair and she needs to be exceptionally beautiful. Any suggestions?

Is it creepy to write a fan fiction about a celebrity you like?

I’ll be honest - I know there are plenty of Real Person Fictions out there, but yes, I find it a bit creepy if it’s porn (and most of these are). Imagine googling your name and finding porn of you and your colleague/ex/reader of the fic having sex in all kind of positions and with all kinds of kinks, including some you don’t enjoy (because look hard enough and you’ll find everything). Imagine your children googling you and stumbling on that. It’s not something you’d enjoy, is it? Characters are fictional, so they don’t have feelings to be hurt, and hence fair game. (And they do look like the actor playing them ;D - heck, write an Actors AU - see Performance in a Leading Role by MadLori vs. Freebatch). That said, there’s obviously a vaste public for RPF, so if you really want to write one, you don’t have to cather to my taste or anyone else’s.

What websites allows you to read fanfiction?

Well, this is a personal opinion so not all people agree…But I have accounts on a few:1- Archive of our own ( Archive of Our Own ) :A huge number of fan fics in almost all fandoms that could ever exist (there are original works as well) is here. A website by fans for fans.I put it first because it’s simple, user-friendly, searching options are very impressive, you can put/find as many tags as you want and the writing standards are pretty high..The voting system is quite strict so when you find 1K kudos on a work it literally means that 1K person has voted.2- Wattpad (Wattpad - Where stories live):Another huge platform, the number of fics is enormous and original works find a reputation easily. It is however a little less easy to search for works, tags are limited and you can’t always find great works with acceptable levels of language, search filters aren’t as impressive as my first pick. The pros are : the possibility to insert media easily, the great team behind the platform who go through works and do rankings and advertising as well as events and competitions and the best part is there’s an app, easy to access, read, write, vote and comment wherever and whenever.3- Fanfiction.net :It was my fanfic awakening, very simplistic design, average in almost every aspect but a pioneer nonetheless. You will find lots of great works and many supportive readers and writers.4- Asian fanfics ( For fans of all things Asian )As the name indicates, it’s about Asia, whether the fandom is an anime, an asian drama or an asian band, you just have to search for it and you’ll get yourself a list of fics…I call this website, the quiet one, it’s not easy for a work to get found or recognized, it isn’t as user-friendly as the first two platforms previously mentioned but you get used to it I guess…It’s also a community wher you can chat and share things so it’s … “pretty cool” if I may say so.Honorable mentions:There are a lot of other platforms out there like Quotev, Amazone… They either require payment, or are too big and complex…I just listed the best for me as both a writer and a reader…I hope it’s helpful :)

Is it illegal to write fanfics about celebs/include them in the story?

Legally it's dangerous, because if the story implies actual events or attitudes on the part of the celebrity, you could be sued for libel.

For example, suppose Suzy Hotscakes was a celebrity, and you write a fanfic featuring Suzy having a romantic relationship with you and it evolves into more extreme sexual situations and you have her using the N word and scoffing at gays and lesbians, a lawyer for the REAL Suzy Hotscakes could say you're defaming her, especially if they learn that "someone read where Suzy used the N word and said nasty things about gays and lesbians and participates in orgies". Even if you specifically prefixed your story with "this is a work of fiction", a judge could find that your story was so GOOD and realistic that the average reader COULD misinterpret it as a work of fact. Lawsuit. You lose. Big.

If your story just mentions Suzy Hotscakes by name as a passing character, doing everything she normally does as a celebrity, you'd be safer. For example:

[On my way to the factory, traffic suddenly stopped. Apparently, a big movie production was filming and had the streets shut down. I got out of my car to see the action, and there was Suzy Hotscakes running being chased by some other actor I didn't recognize. Cut! Apparently someone didn't hit their mark, or the lighting was off. Suzy seemed utterly frustrated. Apparently, this scene was taking a lot longer than she hoped.]

That's a bit safer, since you're playing off her real life celebrity and treating her as a real character, without doing anything negative about her personally.

(Suzy Hotscakes... I'm a big fan of Fargo.)

What do you think is the most overused in fanfiction?

The most over used fan fiction I have seen (In order) Would be
1. One direction
2. The Hunger Games
3. celebrities like Arianna Grande and Justin Beiber
4. YouTubers like Joey Graceffa and Smosh
5. Harry Potter
6. Twilight

The most common plot between them is when one of the band members/book characters fall in love with a girl that the creator of the fanfiction put into the story. (Expl. Harry Styles falls in love with a girl who is not a one direction fan.)

What are some decent sites for fan fiction?

There are so many options to enjoy fanfiction!! My personal favorites are Commaful and Archive of Our Own, but here are my pros and cons of all of them. All of these are free.I think the general fanfiction community I know likes AO3 the best.CommafulGorgeous visuals and layouts. The stories really come to life in a different way and looks incredibleBest chat system and feed of the fanfiction sites - strong fan community engagementStill really new and very small library of works compared to other sites, but as a result easier to grow early audiences if it’s your first time postingArchive Of Our Own (AO3)Huge library of stories, usually higher quality worksIncredibly detailed searching systemCan be a bit intimidating to use if you’re new to fanfictionFanfiction.netA bit easier to use than AO3, huge library of worksbasic messaging system that AO3 doesn’t haveTumblrNot just for fanfiction; it’s a great way to get connected with the entire fandom. You’ll find memes, fan art, and fanfictionGreat place to promote fanfiction and get readersVery tight communities around any fandom you can think ofWattpadI’m personally a huge Wattpad fan for original fiction. For fanfiction, you’ll find a lot of Justin Bieber and Harry Styles fanfictionSearch function is very clunky. Hard to find works that I like in fanfiction in particularHuge potential audience and pretty sizable libraryQuotevSadly, these days, Quotev doesn’t get as much use for fanfiction. Still quite popular for quizzes, roleplaying, and other thingsGreat chat systemKindle WorldsFor certain fandoms, you can actually make money by writing here. Not too much elsedeviantArtMostly a fan art community, but some fanfic communities have popped up here tooI’d recommend trying out all of these and see which ones you like. From the posting side, I recommend Commaful for shorter works and AO3 for longer and more advanced works.

Is there anywhere I can read Chinese fanfiction?

Like, not fanfiction written in Chinese, but fanfics about Chinese drama, movies, celebrities, only in English. I know there is a lot for Korean and Japanese, but no Chinese.
