Is There Any Job/career That Pays An Average Salary Of Around $50k A Year And A Shorter Workweek

Why the workweek should be shorter?

Because we have the technology available so that 4 person families only need 1 person working 2 hours a day to sustain our level of productivity, but it seems as if the International hyena financiers like to consolidate good things amongst themselves which sucks for the rest of us. Your mind will be blown if you read the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Review, and the brilliant innovation that has already been made. However the Mainstream Media and alternative media refuse to cover this, and it only stays inside elite circles. We can't even talk about it

The salary in Digital Marketing differs with years of experience, the kind of company that is hiring and most importantly, the city in which you work. But I can confidently say that the salaries are definitely higher than other fields where the supply is more than the demand!According to PayScale – an authoritative source of salary data, a digital marketer in Bangalore with a few years of experience will earn around 7.2 lakhs per annum. This is based on data collected from real people with real jobs, not an estimate. Some of the top roles in digital marketing available today are:Digital Marketing ManagerSocial Media Marketing ManagerSEO ExpertCRO ExpertContent MarketerEmail MarketerCopywriterPaid Ads Expert (Facebook & Google Ads)Analytics ExpertAt the Same time just for your info , if you look around sources than it will prove the lack of supply in digital marketing skills, you will find plenty on the web.According to another survey done by Kstart, 66% of respondents believed that finding good talent was a major bottleneck because a very few people ‘get’ digital marketing. Others felt there wasn’t enough talent in the market. Companies are clearly feeling a shortage when it comes to hiring talented digital marketerHope this helps

Careers worth getting into debt for?

I have a bachelors degree in Marketing. I don't want to sell things. I did it because I enjoy market analysis and market research. I have been out of school for 2 years and have no experience other then a few courses in market research. I have no idea where I would even find a job doing something like this. Terrible economy is not an excuse I want to use any longer. The degree is not worth the 50K I spent on it. Luckily I have parents who were willing to put me through debt free.

I enjoy not owing anyone money. I like knowing that I don't have a loan payment or a credit card payment due every month. I make a measly $8 an hour and can barely get by as is. I feel like I am stuck looking for administrative and clerical jobs for the rest of my life if I don't get more education.

I have already been accepted back to school for the Fall, but want to get things right this time around if I must get loans out to do it.

My question: In your opinion what would you consider a career worth pursuing even if it means I must take on some student loan debt? At this point engineering is the only thing that comes to mind. I am not that keen on taking on a heavy math load nor do I know that I would enjoy the field. I do know that all my engineer friends are doing well and can make loan payments no problem. Not interested in health care whatsoever. Any suggestions are appreciated. My ideal job has nothing to do with what field I am in, but rather how easy it is to find employment and make a living.

How many hours do a military active member work per week?

The normal duty day was 0730 - 430pm. However there was CQ, SDO, Guard Duty that could and ofter did result in a 36 to 48 hour duty day. There were field exercises that could last a few hours of a month or more Reforger 3 - 4 months). Then there were deployments to varied and exotic places. But back in garrison:
up at 400am go to the unit. 530 am get the troops out for PT 630 am shower/shave/dress/breakfast. 730 - 430 normal mission stuff fly do maintenance, teach classes, take classes. 500pm give remedial PT to those that could not make morning PT. 730 pm officers call 900pm home and household chores and get ready for next day. Repeat as necessary.

The military is not an 9-5 job. a soldier/marine/sailor/airman is expected to be ready for duty 24/7. Yes there are some days where you do nothing and are home by lunch, but there are other days that will last for weeks.

The military is NOT a 9-5 job.

Social security--if the average monthly payout is 1350.00 why do i only recieve 1200.00? i worked for 47 years?

If your monthly benefit is less than the national average that means that you earned less each year than the average US citizen. I think right now the average wage is around $50,000. You get out of SS what you've paid into it. High earnings=high benefit. Low earnings=low benefit.

Social Security uses a person's high 35 years of earnings to compute a benefit. You earned less in those 35 years than half of all other wage earners. Keep in mind that there are people who are paying social security taxes on earnings up to $127,000 currently; last year it was $118,500. Perhaps that will put your earnings in perspective.

At The Software Guild I can assure you that there is a premium for the salaries paid to people who have prior IT work experience, as you would expect.  Prior CS degree or classes does not correlate at all with starting salary, since if you haven't actually used those skills in a professional setting they aren't impressive to employers. However, people with prior work experience are only a small percentage of our student population, so the impact on the average salaries is pretty insignificant.  Overall, here is what we've seen.Prior IT work experience: You make about 25% more than other graduates.Skills in the top third of the class: You make about 10% more than other graduates.Everyone else tends to fall in the same $10k salary band. The $10k delta is expected.  Some companies pay slightly more salary but don't have as good of benefits while others have fantastic benefits but offset that by slightly lower salary.  As a junior/entry level developer you really don't have much leverage for negotiation since you're an unproven entity.  Being a more impressive candidate does net a bit of a bump though.Ultimately though, as I tell my students.  You should not care about starting salary.  Your job in your first couple years in this field is to learn and grow your skills as much as possible.  In Ohio, if you hit the 5 year mark in your career and you have progressively grown your skills and are good at what you do... you will likely double your starting salary. The money will come, focus on learning opportunities.
