Is There Any Kid My Age 15 Yrs Old Out There Same As My Height

Whats the average height for a 14-15 year old boy?

convert your parents' height to inches, then add their inches, divide by 2, then add 5 inches to come up with your estimated total height. (for girls, same formula, but subtract 5 inches). in your case, that would be 77 inches for your dad, 63 inches for your mom, total added = 140, divide by 2 = 70, plus 5 comes to 75 inches for your height, which is about 6 feet 3 inches for your estimated adult height. it's no guarantee, but it works pretty well in my family. i don't know what the actual average height is for anybody. my family is tall mostly. i'm the runt in my generation, my dad's mom was short & i kinda stayed near her height, didn't come anywhere near my mother's height or my dad's. my older 2 kids are around 5 feet 7 which i think is fairly average. my youngest is now 13 & he'll be tall. he's also in a growth spurt & should hit at least 6 feet. he's probably about 5 feet 8 now & still growing.

My son is 5 years old and he weighs 22kg with height 2' 8". Is that normal?

Ok 22 kg should be the same as 48.4 pounds. 2.2 pounds is suppose to equal 1 kilogram.

According to my school records I was 45 inches tall (3'9") when I entered kindergarten. I just turned 5 then. Granted I was a little tall but your son is 13 inches shorter than that . That's is very, very short for his age.

His weight of 22 kg (48.4 lbs) sounds very heavy for his height. I was about the same weight at 49 pounds but 13 inches taller and I was not a skinny kid at all. Looked very average. No offense but your son sounds very short and obese. Do you think it's possible that he weighs 22 pounds instead of 22 kg? His height sounds like that of an 18 month old. If he is as heavy as you say then it wouldn't make much sense to ask if this was normal. Visit with your pediatrician and check if he has any medical problems. He likely does because this isn't normal.

What is the average height of a 15-year-old?

the average for a 15 year old girl is 5’4. The average height for 15 year old boy is 5’7. Some people are different. Some people are shorter than that or taller than that. It really varies. Genetics play a factor. My mom is 6’2–6’3. My dad is 5’9-5’11. I’m 14 and I’m 6’0–6’1. My maternal grandma is 5’6–5’8. My maternal grandpa is 6’3–6’6. My faternal grandma is about 5’. My oldest sister is 5’7–5’8. My family is mostly very tall. There’s a couple of people in who aren’t as tall. I have a big spread out family. I’m likely to be my mom’s by the time I’m 15. The average height can’t be defined, because we’re all different. I’m obviously not the average height. A lot of people are not the average height. Not every 15 year old girl is 5’4. Not every 15 year old boy is 5’7. It’s impossible know what height you’re supposed to be. Don’t freak out if you’re a different height than average, because it’s ok. We’re not all average height. It’s not abnormal to be a different height than average.

Is 5 feet 7 inches in height ok for a 13 year old?

Your final adult height is dependent on a number of factors. Genereally it is thought to be 70% Genes and 30% Nutrition. By This i mean 'how tall you can grow, but not necessarily how tall you will grow' is largely determined by how tall your family is. If your parents are tall there is a good chance you will be tall.

5 foot 7 is a good height for someone who is just 14 and you will continue to grow - but no not at the same rate 6 inches in 1.5 years is amazing but u 'will not' continue at the same rate and will gradually slow down towards the end of puberty until you stop growing at an average age for boys of about 17 and younger for girls about 14 - 15, i was about the same at14, im 5 foot 11 now (same height as my dad).

Nutrition is extremely important during this period in your life and yes milk will help to give you strong bones and help you to continue to grow in a healthy way. You should be drinking a little more milk generally, 3 cups a day.

No one is to say exactly when you will stop growing, some men continue till their 20s so you'll know in the end, just look after yourself, dont get into bad habits that could stunt your growth like smoking and you are likely to be a big strong lad soon. It is always good for a man to be tall and whereever you end up is good, no one is to say what a good height is but over 6 foot is considered good really (opinion not fact) - be proud of however tall you are.

and lol yea....its ok to go out with a chick taller than you if you're cool with it...girls go through puberty quicker and so are taller than boys at first and then guys catch up - generally ending up taller than women - dont let height interfere with your love life.

and good luck keep growing! - talk to your doctor for real useful advice on your growth and 'any' questions you have.

My 10 year old daughter is very TALL. She is 5'5. She has been tall all her life. Its affecting her self-esteem

I always have to tell people her age. People think she is 3-4 years older than she is. People expect her to act much older/mature than what she is. They give other kids room to be a kid, but expect different from her,cus she looks older. She often doesn't fit in with kids her age(people look at her strange when she is doing kid things).Than she does not fit in with older kids(she just turned 10 and does not have a teen mentality). No matter how often I say her age and people comment on how tall she is. They still forget or won't acknowledge that she is a child. It is really affecting her self esteem. She cries and says she hates being TALL. She is the tallest in her class/grade.Taller than her teacher. She says people tease her at school. She wants nothing to do with sports. I have tried and she says she is not good at them. She wants to cheer. I signed her up for cheer(the teacher commented on her much taller she was than others. Her self esteem is shot. How do I help her self-esteem.HELP

Why is my height not increasing? I am 15 years old. For 2 months, my height is at 157 cm only. I am trying to increase it by doing exercises, but nothing happens.

You are close to the age when most of your growth is done. You may gain small increments between ages sixteen and twenty-one, but they will probably only total a couple of centimeters. I myself gained a cm or so sometime during the six months before my twenty-first birthday. Then no more.Human growth hormone affects bone growth. It has been administered artificially to children to increase their height . Your body boosts HGH production naturally when you exercise or sleep. Artificial administration has been shown to add up to 7 cm to a child’s height. There is no research to prove how much natural exercise and sleep contribute.Anecdotally, my friends claim their TV-and-computer-addicted kids all grew up several inches shorter than they did. The harm done by inactivity may be considerable. But beware exercise that involves lifting extremely heavy weights. There are claims it actually leads to less bone growth.Ultimately, your height is mostly dictated by genetics, so don’t count on being too different from your parents. The wisest intervention is to take proper care of yourself with healthy eating, sleep and exercise.

My 15-yr old son plays center in basketball. He is 6'1" right now.?

His dad is 6'5", I am 5'8". Grandparents are all above average in height. My son has always been one of the tallest kids among his peers.

He wants to know if his doctor can predict how tall he will eventually grow (doc will laugh, I know), because that will help him decide whether to continue in basketball, or to strictly focus on academics. He figures that if he only reaches 6'5" or 6'6", then he wouldn't be very effective at center and wouldn't be scouted/recruited for college/then NBA (he dreams big). His coach really keeps him at center and playing the post, and he does really well. But my son thinks that he should have opportunity to play forward or guard in case he would need to switch to one of those anyway later on because of his height. I've checked stats of centers in NCAA and NBA, and my son has a point.

Is he living in a fantasy world? Or just being pragmatic?

I'm 15, is there any way to maximise my potential height and grow faster and taller?

Yes, however, it still varies from person to person. Some people are predisposed to early closure of their growth plates (the area of growing tissue near the ends of the long bones), so they stop growing at age 15. But most men stop until they're 21 years old where they add height in the torso (this is just the average though, some men get their growth plates in the torso closed earlier, and much later for others). As for me, I was always the short kid around, but I became a late bloomer, I do have to add though that I was always anorexic during my preteen years and only started eating properly during my early adolescence. And this played a big role in attaining height in later than most. At 15, most of the people around my age have reached their adult height, I looked like a tiny, little kid around them. Then I've hit my growth spurt and gained a whopping 7-9 inches of height once I reached 16. And some of the guys who used to tower me became shorter than I am! The difference between the 15 year old and 16 year old me was ridiculously enormous. And by 17, I gained another 2 inches. I'm turning 20 this year, and I don't think I'm going to get taller anymore because I have been the same height for years. So to answer your question, you can still grow if you haven't finished puberty yet. You can find out if you’re a late bloomer or not by trying to calculate what stage of puberty you have reached with the Tanner scale.http://pediatric-house-calls.djm...
