Can you open a bank account or credit card using a PO box as a billing address?
Strictly speaking no; as a PO Box is not address of service. However, if you are of no fixed abode, or move around the Country a lot, then a Solicitor may accept “Service of legal documents”; you would have to ask their permission and ask the Credit Card Company whether they will accept that as an address to send your Statements. They would probably ask you why you want to send it to an address like a PO Box.However, the advantage of having a solicitor as your “service address” means that if it were to come to litigation and you were to defend it, the Solicitor is already there and waiting for you to give him instructions. Equally you MUST keep your solicitor informed of where you are since if you are summonsed to Court for a Hearing, whether it be Civil or Criminal, he will need to know what is going on, before he represents you Court.You need to take better advice than what I have provided above, since I know US law is very different from the UK. You can only get that from a Solicitor or Attorney.
