What are the best treatment to clear acne scars?
I have been battling acne on and off since I was 17 and used a few products (retin-A and otc) and I use proactiv now and it works great. I also combine monthly chemical peels to keep my face clear. Okay, my acne is gone but my face has some scarring. Its not too bad (just a little red or brown here and there) but sometimes I wish I could go out without make up a little confident. Ihear microdermabrasions were good but the lady who does my chemical peels said it just clears away the top layer of skin and not removing scarring. But isnt that what a scar is? Any advice? Does laser treatment for acne scars really work?
I have them and after sitting through the education sessions in the doctor's office, I opted NOT to get it done. Basically it's like someone scalded your face off. They have blistering, pustules, and their skin is horribly raw, bleeding in some places. It looks like they have been boiled. Scared the heck out of me. I was told it took 6 weeks to heal. The after results didn't look all that fantastic either. I had to watch videos and look at pictures and whatnot. I can tell you from experience (I'm now 35) that you can lessen your scars greatly on your own. If you'll get yourself on an alternating regimen of over the counter alpha and beta hydroxy cleansers, peels, and microdermabrasion over time your scars will begin to fade. ok..so..i have acne like every teenager && also i like to pop them and pick at my face...so it leaves scars..i also get acne on my upper back & shoulders..which i also pick with ,pop, && that leaves gross looking scars that make me insecure...&& i don't know what to do about it....&& another thing that questions me that my skin gets very dry..&& mainly its on my breast where my skin gets really dry...& i tend to get black heads on them...i am going to see a dermatologist about it...i just want to see if i can gets some hints to what it is..&& if anyone has a treatment i could ask her about...mainly i just want 2 know...if theres an affordable acne treatment that treats acne scars on the face,chest,back & breast (that you've seen gives good results personally)...if so this would really help....ALOT!!!...thankx a bunch...:-D
