What is your review of Christ University?
I am afraid I have an ambivalent opinion about Christ. My two years in Christ was literal hell. Well I had expectations about the college and I guess it all went down the drain and that's a lesson I learnt: Do not have expectations. On introspection I realise that most of my dislike had to do with my batch and not wholly the college. I was in the wrong place with wrong people and in the wrong time. I have literally spent counting the no.of days to get over with Christ. Looking back I can't help but laugh at my past desperation. The only solace was to find like minded people in my batch. From the syllabus to the people and of course the rules, Christ was a virtual hell! If it were not for a kind faculty, I would have definitely dropped the course. And today am proud I SURVIVED Christ. Albeit the hatred towards Christ, I believe a part of me is always thankful towards the institution for chiselling me to face the world better. Like I always say, Christ is a university that prepares u for life; Christ has forced me come out of my coccon. It has made me strong and independent. With the university being a cauldron of varied cultures I got to meet people of varied kinds. Today I live in Saudi Arabia and feel at ease abiding to the rules in this country, well, thanks to Christ university for training me to cope with rules! So, yes I am caught in a dichotomy when it comes to Christ university.
What are peoples opinions and experiences with Full Sail University?
I have been looking at Full Sail as a choice for my next step. My major is Film and I am hesitant about making this my choice for school. Please let me know what you guys think!
Has anyone broken their ESL contract in China after the first semester?
Ok, if the contract says you have to pay 15,000 RMB if you break your contract then this is clearly a company that has lost many previous staff due to their poor attitude to foreign staff. So don't feel worried that you are doing something wrong or different. Second, they can't really fine you at all, all they can do is with hold some of your pay or your bonus. So if you leave early you will miss out on your bonus and your flight home. I assume you are at a school or university where you have clear semesters. So when you have the semester break, fly home then send them an email saying something like your mother is unwell or you have lime disease. What will happen. Nothing, you will lose any backpay and bonuses but they can't really track you down and fire you. By making a face saving excuse they too save face and everything is ok.
I have 14 backlogs in engineering. Should I give up my life?
Well. I had 37 backlogs in my B.Tech (Most of them I grabbed due to my low internal marks). A very few of my college mates (like me ) believed that I could pass. I had a good academic records till my Engineering. But from the 1st day it self during the course, I lacked the path. I don't want to blame my teachers alone for my internals because I had my own part in lowering it :). Many of my friends said me to give up and join any other diploma/course. Some of the papers I wrote more than 3 times and just fail. It was a turning point when my S7 results came. Most of the back benchers passed because it is going to be the end of the Course, but I got most number of backlogs in S7. Even in our farewell meeting teachers were busy asking our class toppers what's next, do this course like that. I sadly thought , “I don't know if I complete my course or not”Till that time I didn't reveal parents about my backlog history. My hall ticket has caught red handed by my Parents. They didn't scolded me, instead motivated by stories inside BIBLE as well as of other great personalities in the world. I really started my course then and with GODs grace and confidence I passed all papers as 37–21, 21–18, 18–2 and 2–0. I passed…….. magical moment for our family and I believed it is one among the best in my life.I was in a computer course by HCL at that time which changed me a lot in terms of personality and technical domain. I tried for many jobs and then I went for servicing PCs at home.At that time one of my friend said that there is some opening in Sutherland Cochin, Kerala, a bpo mnc. I went for an interview there and surprisingly I cleared all the rounds and got job as Technical Consultant.I stayed there for less that one year. After that I have done some certifications, got a job in another company, Admin-ahead. Then I moved to EY (it is hard for me to believe that I got job in Ernst and Young) and then after 4.5 years of experience, moved to IBM as a Technical specialist, stayed there for 2 years and now working with Eurofins, a product based company with decent package and good profileI worked in four MNC, learned many technologies and taken certifications, Earned many best performer awards and created multiple innovative tool sets which is now being used in EY and IBM around the globe.So go forward trusting in GOD (I believe there is only ONE which has no religion), confidence and try, try and try. You will definitely succeed.No one is stopping you from doing things
Pros and Cons on DeVry University?
Before DeVry ruined its reputation by calling itself a "university". it was DeVry Institute, and offered very good TAC/ABET-accredited degrees in Engineering Technology. DeVry still offers these degrees (Electronics, Computer & Medical). They're still good, but other degrees at DeVry are substandard. DeVry is expensive, but the Engineering Technology degrees are taken year round, so a student graduates in three years instead of the usual four.
How do I study 1 month before my final exams?
1.Prepare the best time table how much you can and strictly FOLLOW IT.2. NEVER GIVE UP.3. Make the 50/30/20 rule by dividing the time equally in sequence.50 means, you have to give your 50 % in understanding the concepts30 means, Do practice of that problem minimum 5 times to make sit in your mind.20 means, Revision of all those which you have learned in this 50+30 %time rule.{THIS PROCESS IS LIKE DIVIDE AND RULE.}I am sure you will score your best and specially this time is the best time for, if you want to study all night.Make sure that you are giving your best time to understand all the related topics and theories given in books.
