Some of my iTunes music that has different artist but same album show up several times in cover view. I have Resident Evil:Extinction Soundtrack and it will show 1 resident evil album for each artist but then when i go into that album it will have all artists in it not just that one. example: Artist-Chimaira,Fightstar; Album-Resident Evil:Extinction; there will be 2 albums in coverflow i click on one but both artist will be under each of the 2 albums. Is there a way to fix this? Would album artist tag fix this? if so what does album artist do exactly?

R&P: If You Could Have Any Artist Cover An Album?

Sticking with cutting-area artists (or a minimum of presently form of appropriate), i assume to conceal there's a rebel Goin' On via Sly and the relatives Stone a million Luv n' Haight - Gil Scott-Heron 2 in basic terms like a infant - Beck 3 Poet - Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings 4 relatives Affair - Naomi Shelton and the Gospel Queens 5 Africa Talks to You "The Asphalt Jungle" - Panda bear 6 there's a rebel Goin' On - John Cage (he's lifeless, yet that would desire to no longer make a distinction right here) 7 brave and robust - F*cked Up 8 (You caught Me) Smilin' - André 3000 9 Time - Gnarls Barkley 10 Spaced Cowboy - Joanna Newsom 11 Runnin' Away - MGMT 12 thank you for Talkin' to Me Africa - The Dirtbombs What a great album which would be. I recommend, this began out in elementary terms for relaxing, yet now i'm heavily bummed i will't hear this. BQ: i in my opinion do no longer like it plenty, yet Brown Sugar

How do you put album covers on songs in itunes?

I ripped songs from cds into my itunes library and I want cover art on them. I already have the artwork. But when I try to "get info" on the song, the artwork tab isn't even there. Any tricks or suggestions on how to make the artwork tab appear or any other ways to attach the artwork? Please be specific and detailed with answers. I'm kinda itunes retarded!

Where's the album artwork on iTunes 11 in Songs view??!!?

Wish I had your answer. I just spent quite a bit of time trying to find that exact thing. I am here to add more Boos. Hopefully they will put it back in 11.1

Here's why I liked that view. I could sort by purchased date or last added and see my most recent stuff. I would uncheck anything I didn't want to hear and the list would go from recent to old. In the same view I would be able to see the artwork. I could just play and I would get a good playlist. Now I can't see the artwork. why? (warning this "why" is to entice some apple person to try to explain to me why i don't need it when really I intend to return their response with massive slap to face)

Ok now you know I am on your side...
One slight work around might be to use the mini player. Once that loads up and then click the button thingy next to the search bar. It will drop down all the "up next" information that includes the album art. the up next is based on what ever is currently sorted in the songs view by the looks. You don't get to see ALL tag info, you only see about a page worth at a time. No more feature to only show large art for multiple tracks lots of things I miss really about the old version. It's not a real work around but you might like it.

I find it somewhat ironic to post about a company destroying a music player on a blog from a company that also destroyed a music player (music match! yahoo! that's right everyone stopped using your "downgrade" version and started using itunes) that was a good one that music match. Oh well. I never learn.. stop upgrading and fixing what aint broken.

Is there a way get all artist on one album in itunes?

If you want a smaller number of artists, then you can always change the song info to all read John Lennon or what have you. If you want to select multiple songs to edit at once, hold down control (if you're on a PC) and click on all the songs one by one, then you can right click and edit them as one unit.

If you want to keep the separate artists but have them all show as under the same album, then I suggest checking the "part of a compilation" box in the song info. That should put all 3 artists under one album.

Need help with changing album cover artwork in iTunes?

This always happens to me, and it really, REALLY p*sses me off. I buy a song that came from an album on iTunes (I bought the song from the album not the single), and then a single is released for that song, and a lot of the time the singles have cool artwork, and they also tell the name of the song just by looking at the cover. I really want to change the album cover so that it has the single cover instead of the actual album cover, and this is what I figured out you have to do.
1. right click the song and select 'Get info'
2. change the album name to the single name (e.g. instead of 'Tha Carter III' it would be 'Lollipop - single', as it says it in the iTunes store)
3. go to the tab to the very right called Artwork, and delete the artwork. The album should now not have any artwork tagged to it
4. This is what confuzzles me. I click, 'Get Album Artwork', hoping that i will trick iTunes and it will download the single artwork, but instead the old artwork comes back up, not the single artwork

This is REALLY frustrating. A solution I have found for some single artwork is you change the album name and then download the single artwork from google images, but the picture quality is rubbish.
If anyone could help me by telling me what I am doing wrong, or direct me to a site where you can download high quality single artwork that would be very very appreciated.
Thank you in advance, and if you want to answer my question personally so that I can respond back my email address is Hustlers_game@hotmail.com

Putting together a dubstep album?

1) personally I use gimp (a free open source photoshop program)
2) if you want to know how to arrange them, listen to them in different combinations and act like you are listening to it for the first time, that way you are putting yourself in the listener's shoes.
3) you can export your songs as wav (16-bit) or mp3 (anywhere higher than 120 bit). It's gonna take some listening to find the right quality.
4) look for public domain images and find anything that has to do with snow. make sure you can use that image for commercial use. google "public domain images"

Copying an album cover or picture copyright question?

Not sure what you mean, "different in three ways", because a derivative work is still a "copy" for the purposes of copyright infringement.

Consider: if you and I stood next to each other and simultaneously took identical photos of the identical things and the same moment with the same type of camera and everything else being the same, we would each own the copyright of our individual "creative works". Mine isn't a copy of yours and yours isn't a copy of mine, even though they are technically identical.

If you take someone else's art and create a derivative work (e.g., make a painting of it or translating a book into another language), that violates the copyright owner's exclusive right to make or authorize derivative works. You (she) might own the work and the copyright in any NEW material she added to it (her brush strokes, color choices, etc), but it is still a violation of the original rights.

Anyone seeing it could, in theory, be somehow related to the original artist and "turn you in", and you would have the burden of proving some defense in federal court. One that may come to mind is called "fair use", where the copy or derivative work is not used for profit, doesn't deny the original artist any profit, "transforms" the original into something new, and uses only the necessary portion of the original to make the point, among other things.

A person seeing the new art might be so impressed that he or she takes a picture and uploads (publishes it), making it a further violation that is much more likely to result in a lawsuit.
