Is there a way to install iOS 6 back after you upgrade an iPhone to iOS 7?
If you still have the old iOS 6 package file together with your last iOS 6 backup on iTunes, you can try restore your phone by holding the option key and press Restore iPhone button on iTunes. However, even if this works, why would you do that? The looks of iOS 7 is probably annoyingly unfamiliar at first but, let's face it, on one super busy day we will probably find ourselves get used to it. The main thing is that all iTunes Store apps will (be forced to) adopt the iOS 7 cues and update new features based on that from this point on. Why would you want to miss important new features and bug fixes, especially with your favorite purchased apps?

When you buy a new iPhone 5 or 5S from Apple or any authorized resellers , the phone will be running on the latest iOS version 7.1. However you can downgrade it to iOS 6 if you want to but it is not recommended because your phone's warranty will be void and you might permanently mess it up . So my recommendation would be to go with the latest Version of iOS. "Trading a costly iPhone for a lock screen"-not a good idea

In a sense you are out of luck. there is a way but it it super complicated requiring to ssh into your device editing files and be jailbroken etc super complicated stuff. There is an easier way if you can find older versions of the ipa files (apps) online. Make sure its compatible with 4.2 or above. Good luck

When updating to iOS 7, my iPhone says "Could Not Activate iPhone"?
I have an iPhone 4s that is not activated; I used to have Sprint, but my service was shut off. I can still use it when I have access to wifi. I just updated to iOS 7 and was going through setting my phone up. When i got to the step saying "It may take a few minutes to update your iPhone". After waiting, my phone said "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes. If this problem persists, contact Apple Support at apple.com/support". I connected my phone to iTunes to retry activation and searched on Apple Support, but could not find out what was wrong or something I could do. Does this mean I can't use my iPhone with iOS 7 if I do not have an activated iPhone? If so, is there anyway to change back to iOS 6 or get out of the set up screen?
